Our daughter is 22 months younger than her brother, but is catching up to him! She's at the 75th percentile for height, while he's at the 25th. She may catch up to him within the next year or two! In his mind though, she'll always be his little sister.

My girls are currently about an inch and a half apart. We thought #2 would have surpassed #1 by now, but #1 is determined to stay ahead.

Not yet since the youngest is only 10.5 months old. My little sister is 21 months younger than I, and was small, while I was tall, until I was 8 or 9. Then we were the same height for a while, and then she passed me up. She's now 6' and I'm the short one at 5'10".

Nope. 6.5 years between them. M will catch up to D when they're adults lol.

@erinpye: I actually think 5'10" is a great height for a female! Tall but not too tall that you're taller than the majority of males.

Not at all. They are three years apart and LO1 (boy) is around the 90th percentile while LO2 (girl) is around the 10th.

No, but they are 2.5 years apart so I don't think the catch up will happen for awhile yet.

My youngest is def. taller at his age (2.75 years) than his big brother. He started wearing 3Ts just a month or two after he turned 2. Some 2Ts he just completely skipped over. He's still half a head shorter but he is also 3 years younger. I think he'll surpass his big brother who is skinny and always average for everything.

Getting there - my 30 month old daughter is much taller than her 8 month old sister but bit all that much heavier - only about 6-7 lbs. I think they'll be pretty similar in size by the time they're 2 and 4. DD#2 is just a much closer to average sized kid while DD#1 is barely on the growth charts

My younger has overtaken his big sister. They are twins so it doesn't count for much, except that he started out a lb smaller and was smaller up until 4 months. Then he starting growing like crazy and now he's two lbs bigger!

@regberadaisy: I love being tall, however, I'm actually taller than many men, and 5'9.5" is the average height for men in the US. Many fudge it--you'd be surprised how many "5'11" " guys I stand taller than...

Oh yes. My 13-month old is in 18-24 months/2T and my 32-month old is barely in 3T.

Nope - but maybe when he's older. Ds2 is bigger than DS1 was at the same age.

It's funny you ask this because my younger sister is taller than me, but now that I think of it, I have no idea when she even surpassed me! At this point it feels like she's always been taller

Not my kids, but my little sister passed me by no later than age 13 (I was 27 by then), and my brother just passed me at 12. But their mom is 6' and our dad is 6'2" whereas I got my height from my 5'4" mom.

My 2 year old and my 7 month old are both in size 5 diapers. My youngest is growing at a faster pace than my first did.
