I have a white gold e-ring and wedding band. Have been wearing the band for 1.5 yrs and the e-ring for almost 2 yrs, and they are starting to get a little discolored on the side that faces my palm. I have read that with white gold, you have to get the rhodium coating redone every so often and I'm wondering what that will entail...has anyone done this? How long did it take? How much did it cost? How long did you wear your rings before it became necessary? (I'm sure all these things vary by ring/jeweler) The discoloration is pretty slight at the moment and the part of the ring that faces out is all diamonds, so I don't think it will ever be a noticeable sight, but I miss my shiny new rings!
I don't put pics on my work computer, but my rings look similar to this set: http://www.bennionjewelers.com/?cat=5&product=85 except for the band is twisted all the way around, like this set: http://www.tacori.com/news/tag/tacori-wedding-ring-set/ (half of both rings are covered with diamonds, half is just twisty white gold)
