I did this before the primaries and did the test again last night. I'm not surprised by the results, I am not a fan of either of the two main party candidates.
What are your results from Isidewith.com?

100% Hillary and 99% Jill stein. Can't remember the other numbers exactly but around 40% Johnson and 7% trump

82% with Evan McMullin? Guess I'll have to look into who that is.
47 with Hillary
43 Gary
35 Trump
I think the Party tab is also interesting. I'm pretty centrist, so I'm not surprised to be at 53 Dem and 49 Rep.

Darn!!! The results didn't come up and reset to a new poll to restart!
It was super thorough though so I might just have to take it again. I didn't realize 'other stances' had alternate answers until already halfwaythrough the page. I am sure would have picked that more often if I had to do that again...oh wait, I have to do it again.

@codeitall: he's really interesting, grew up Mormon and joined the CIA for 10 years, left to get his MBA and work in the private sector, then went back into government again. He is definitely a Republican, which makes me curious how you got him first and Hillary second.

85% Hillary
57% Gary Johnson
27% Donald Trump
Bizarre! I did not rate the importance of each issue to me.

I'm having my 8th grade students take this quiz next week. It's got some high level vocabulary/concepts for them, definitely, but my main goal is for them to see that there are TONS of issues in the campaign (not just immigration and racism, like they think) and that no one is 100% for 1 candidate and 0% with all the others.... there is always some common ground / overlap.

@DesertDreams88: I wish they made a version for elementary school kids. Maybe when I retire...

97% Hillary, 92% Jill Stein, 47% Gary Johnson, 16% Trump. I'm going to have to look at that more closely since I expected Trump to be 0...

@mediagirl: Looking at his more in depth answers, I think the secret is that while he's definitely a Republican, he's a lot more tolerant than most right-wingers of issues that matter a lot to me (like Syria and immigration), which puts him a lot closer to my middle of the road beliefs. I may have just figured out who I'm voting for
Also, I find it very fascinating that so many people in this thread so far agree with any candidate over 90%. Maybe America really is more polarized than naive centrist me thought.

@codeitall: that makes sense. And wait...who the heck is this Rocky guy?? I had not seen his name thrown around at all. Next question is, is Evan even on your ballot? Because there's an issue.

I have to say, I'm surprised and slightly insulted that I agree with Trump on that much...will have to consider where I went wrong...

80% Gary Johnson, they have him listed as a libertarian, so this sounds about right for me

@mediagirl: who the heck is this guy?! Lol!!
@lamariniere: I sided majorly with Sanders before the primaries as well.
I'm actually surprised I sided so heavily with HRC. I grew up conservative, have usually voted republican, but in the last 3-4 years become more centrist. But I rated several foreign policy as "more important", so I think that's why.

Wait, do a lot of people seriously not know who Gary Johnson is? I'm by no means a fan (staunch Hill supporter here), but like... he has had a fair amount of media coverage this election.

@meredithNYC: I think they're talking about not knowing Rocky De La Fuente, not Gary Johnson.
