Has anyone ever heard of an IUI NOT being monitored...? My doctor does NOT do any ultrasounds during clomid + IUI cycles. She tells her patients to call when they get a + opk. When I inquired about any monitoring, I was told that this is how she handles all of her patients who need IUI but have proven ovulation on their own. I don't know much about IUI, so I'm not sure this is standard. I thought I'd have multiple ultrasounds to check on my follicles!!??
The plus side is 1 IUI would only be $380. If sacrificing monitoring means a lower cost, I'm not 100% sure I'm on board with this process...
fyi, I have a consultation to discuss further on the 29th.
Thoughts? Advice for an IUI newbie??
