@sweetooth: I had initial bloodwork last week to prepare for purchasing the donor speciman (they want certain antibodies to match, etc.). I dont think I have ultrasounds or bloodwork during the first 2 unmedicated cycles though. I call when I get my smiley and they do it the next day!

@sweetooth: Yep. Tomorrow is beta day. Again. Where does the time go?! I keep reminding myself that no symptoms aren't necessarily a bad thing...

@wrkbrk: lots of luck to you!
@LindsayInNY: Where does the time go? No symptoms ARE symptoms I had no symptoms when I got my BFP except for clear skin (which is usually broken out before AF arrives...) Sending you lots of positive thoughts for a happy beta day tomorrow!

@sweetooth: just got a bad news call from my RE. apparently my AMH levels are low she does not want me to go ahead this month after all. instead i need to come in next month for an ovarian ultrasound (?) and take it from there. i am scared now
nectarine / 2705 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'm so hoping that you are out there, celebrating a BFP right now...thinking of you!
@wrkbrk: Don't be scared. It's good that your RE has this information. The ultrasound will allow them to see what's going on in your uterus/ovaries. I know of several people who have still gotten pregnant with low AMH levels.

I triggered last night and I'm off to my IUI in tomorrow morning. Second IUI that has fallen on the weekend. Which means, it won't be my RE doing the procedure. But at this stage in the game, what's one more person having a looksy down there? This process totally makes me feel detached from my lower half...
I also had some trouble with my Ovidrel shot last night. It took my 3 tries to really get it in my stomach. Maybe it was nerves. Sometimes after all of the injections I just lose my nerve to stick the needle in my tummy.
I'm hoping that this IUI is the one. Because if it's not, I think we'll be taking a break until the Spring. There's just too much going on in life to be able to focus on fertility treatments. So, fingers crossed that we get our little sticky BFP this time around.

@LindsayInNY: AAAHHHH!!! I just cannot stop smiling. I am so happy for you and your husband. Congratulations!!!!! I'm going to follow your lead and seriously, just trust the RE this time around.

@wrkbrk: Thank you Today is a rest day but tomorrow is the IUI. It felt so good not to have any appointments today!
pomelo / 5084 posts
@sweetooth: oh oops sorry, I misread. Well good luck tomorrow and keep us posted!!
bananas / 9229 posts
@sweetooth: Thank you!!! That's the thing, I don't know what, if anything, to attribute this cycle to. There were a few different things but I also just left everything in the RE's hands. I stopped temping for the first time since we started TTC. I did stop alcohol and spinning during the TWW like before. I literally thought I was out. I feel completely normal which might be why this doesn't feel real? Good luck tomorrow!!!

@kayakgirl73: How are you doing? Is your beta on Monday? Sending lots of positive thoughts your way
nectarine / 2705 posts
@LindsayInNY: Have you had another beta? I hope it's doubling, and that you're feeling good! I think it's great that you have no symptoms. I hope that this is a wonderful pregnancy for you.

@sweetooth: yep beta on Monday. Trying to decide whether to test early or not. I didn't test ahead with my prior successful IUI.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@kayakgirl73: Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck! And I hope I'm right behind you with a BFP too!
bananas / 9229 posts
@sweetooth: It was 1,419 yesterday! I go back tomorrow and they're hoping to see it over 2,000. If so, u/s will be scheduled for next week? How are YOU doing?!
@kayakgirl73: Sending positive thoughts your way!!!
@fotolori1: Any updates?!
nectarine / 2705 posts
@LindsayInNY: That number is fantastic!!! I hope your number skyrockets above 2,000 today and you're on your way to seeing that little bean in your tummy I'm doing ok. Trying to stay positive, but just kind of losing it in the TWW. It's tough because I don't think I'll be able to jump right in to another cycle if this one doesn't work.
I'll just ride the high from your good news though Still so happy for you!
bananas / 9229 posts
@sweetooth: Thanks!! The TWW is hardest... Particularly the second half (for me). It's just so hard not knowing why something works or doesn't work... I did ask the pharmacy person who took my prescription last cycle to give me good luck pills?! That must've been what did it

Ugh still trying to decide whether to test or not. Ugh wr have company this weekend.
bananas / 9229 posts
@kayakgirl73: Will testing change anything in regards to company (bad mood, drinking, etc.)?
nectarine / 2705 posts
@LindsayInNY: I'm headed to CVS this weekend to get some good luck pills. And twizzlers.
@kayakgirl73: Maybe having company will be a good distraction? I don't know - I don't think I have it in me not to test before a Monday beta.
clementine / 750 posts
Seriously about ready to test. Trigger shot was two weeks yesterday. Monday s are usually bad at work.
bananas / 9229 posts
@kayakgirl73: Personally, I preferred testing on the weekend whenever I actually did. With IUIs, I stopped testing on my own for whatever reason. Sending positive thoughts your way!!

@kayakgirl73: Thinking of you! Good luck tomorrow if you managed to hold out and not POAS . I secretly hope you've been celebrating positive news all weekend long!
clementine / 750 posts
Unfortunately, I POAS this morning and BFN. I started spotting this afternoon so I'm sure I'm out. Some 5th anniversary present.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@kayakgirl73: I'm sorry about the BFN. It's always hard when the results from an IUI fall at the time of other life events, isn't it? {Hugs} Happy Anniversary

@sweetooth: thank you. Sitting in the SG waiting room now. They are so backed up today.
nectarine / 2705 posts
@kayakgirl73: They always seem to be backed up on Mondays. It's strange because it's not like our cycles know it's Monday. I've been in on a Friday AM for monitoring though and it's a ghost town. Hope you're in an out soon.
ETA: My brain is still waking up - that comment doesn't make sense. I just meant that it blows my mind how many women can have a cycle monitoring day on Mondays and somehow everyone disappears by the end of the week.
clementine / 750 posts
@sweetooth: I'm out. They had a hard time getting blood today. Figures. I think it was because I was freezing. I drank plenty of water. I hope things are going well for you.
Anybody starting a new cycle?
nectarine / 2705 posts
@kayakgirl73: Hope it wasn't too painful. It was a chilly morning! I'm doing ok. Just hoping this week flies by and I have a BFP at the end of it. My husband said this weekend, "It feels like we did our IUI so long ago..." And I said, "I know, but it was last weekend. Welcome to the wonderful TWW."
Are you headed in to another cycle? Do you think you'll change anything up? Go back to Gonal-F?
clementine / 750 posts
@sweetooth: I'll had for another cycle. I'm not sure if the Doctor will change anything up or not. Good luck in your TWW..
bananas / 9229 posts
@kayakgirl73: @sweetooth: I feel like Monday's are busy with all the weekend backlog? At least since my RE isn't open for monitoring on weekends. Some days the waiting room is empty, other days a bit busier. But ((hugs)) @kayakgirl73: - I know the feeling all too well of "ruining" an anniversary, birthday, you name it...

@kayakgirl73: HUGS! I am on to a new cycle today as well, so you're not alone!

CD 1 here...IUI #2 did not take. I'm pretty much heartbroken, and having ridiculous cramps on top of the fact that today is a Monday just makes it all that much more worse. My OB is referring me to the only RE in town. Knowing that it may be a bit of a wait, we will still be doing one more IUI in the meantime, just un-medicated this time.
bananas / 9229 posts
@sarahnicole218: ((hugs)) I'm sorry. I didn't react well at all to #2's failure. Any reason next one won't be medicated?
persimmon / 1259 posts
@LindsayInNY: Waiting to see what RE would like to do...don't want to waste another Clomid cycle without seeing an RE since I've already taken it four months.
bananas / 9229 posts
@sarahnicole218: Ah, that makes sense. Are you paying out of pocket for the IUI or is that covered?
