IUI is scheduled for Tuesday morning! Went for an u/s this morning to check on things. Two larger follicles on the right side at 14 and 17 mm and one on the left at 18mm! Triggering Sunday night (finally getting to!) and IUI Tuesday morning.

Thanks all!!! Today went well. DH was paranoid that his sample wasn't enough and swore it was less than last time... Turned out it was TWICE as good as last IUI! I know it's too soon to be optimistic but I am anyways!!

Related question - when did you guys BD after IUI? That night, next night, etc.?

    @LindsayInNY: Great news! Woohoo!

I think you can do it anytime after the IUI. I think that's what my two clinics told me.

@bluestriped bee: I feel like we did the same night last time but I've been fairly crampy all day so I guess we'll see how I'm feeling later.

Where are you in your IUI cycle? Pre-IUI, CD7. Just finished my 5th and final day of Clomid 100mg.
How many IUIs will this be? This is my first.
    Diagnosis? PCOS
    Medications? Metformin and Clomid
Other info? I'm excited, yet also nervous, for the whole IUI experience. After 18 months of TTC, it's time for something new.

@LindsayInNY: Yay for a great IUI and great sperm counts from your DH! DH and I BD the night of our IUI. My RE had said that it doesn't hurt to have an additional number of sperm floating around. FX that month 21 is it for you!

@lazypanda: That's what I was thinking. The original "plan" was tonight and tomorrow night so might have to take one for the team!

I think I'm losing my mind and I'm blaming it on my BBT! Is it possible to trigger (Ovidrel) pre-IUI and NOT O for some reason?

  18. BSB

hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts

@fotolori1: How did it go today?

@LindsayInNY: I think there is a possibility for the trigger shot to work but when your body goes to release the follicles that it doesn't release. Also, sometimes the follicles might be empty. You can take a HPT and you should get a positive if your trigger shot works. You could also go in and ask for an ultrasound. You'll see that your follicles should have collapsed.

But let's not think of that. It can and will work. I stopped temping a long time ago because my sleep is inconsistent. Are you sleeping okay? That could affect your chart.

@sarahnicole218: Good luck to you on your first IUI cycle!

  19. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@bluestriped bee: Sleeping has been normal. I think it's my BBT though... I might OPK tonight, just to reassure myself? There's no reason for me to think I haven't Oed except for this stupid BBT/charting because I always O on my own anyways! I need to step away from the thermometer...

@lindsayinny: NO NEGATIVE THOUGHTS! Think positive and relax!

@bluestripedbee: my progesterone level was over 40, that's all they said. They don't give me a number. But over 18 means I ovulated so fingers crossed!!!!

    @sarahnicole218: good luck!!!! How exciting!

@fotolori1: All I'm thinking are positive things!!! And throwing out the BBT too

I need to do that too! I STILL take my temp everyday, but somehow when it is still up it is like getting a little present every morning. HAHA!!!

So I'm 5 DPO/IUI and my nipples are sore. They're usually sore after O but not for 5 days. So of course that means I'm focusing on it even more, LOL. Poor DH having to deal with me!!

Today is CD1 for me - so here I go again. Back to the IUI-life for baby #2. I have mixed emotions right now - I really need to get my head in a good place so this goes well. I'm a big believer in the mind-body connection for success in this process. Bloodwork and ultrasound on Wednesday.

@sweetooth: ((hugs)) At least you don't have to wait before moving onto it?! (Trying to be positive...)

@sweetooth: Good luck and welcome! I am on my 3rd IUI and suppose to test tomorrow, however, I am not going to. I always start right on time so I am just going to wait it out. I would rather see AF than see another negative. I don't think I could take it.

Prayers for NO af tomorrow would be greatly appreciated!

@lindsayinny: When is your POAS date or are you going in for betas?

Best of luck ladies! Having gotten pregnant with ds by IUI, it's really special to me.

@lindsayinny: sore nipples were my primary symptom with J. @sweettooth: so excited for you to start trying again. @bluestripedbee: You know I'm always rooting for you!

@fotolori1: I'm with ya on testing - so over it and would rather just wait until I *have-have* to.

Ok ladies... I am suppose to start today and I have not yet. I don't want to get excited but I am like clockwork. I work at night and when I get up in the middle of the day to use the bathroom around noon I have ALWAYS started then. But today... no. Also, I am having lots of indigestion, gas, burping and reflux. I feel a lot like I did a couple of days after the trigger shot.

I just had to share... I am nervous and excited and scared all at the same time!!! I refuse to test. I will have to be about 3 days late before I test. I couldn't handle another negative. If I am 3 days late, I am pretty sure I won't see one! lol

@fotolori1: When was your IUI again?

  32. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@fotolori1: Excited for you! I waited until I was at 30 days this time before testing and with my IUI I wouldn't test until they drew my beta. I think that if you're always on the same schedule, being late is for sure a good sign.

My IUI was exactly 2 weeks ago. They told me to test today, but I havent. Still no AF though!!! Today is day 29, so I am going to see what happens by Friday.

@fotolori1: You have amazing willpower Thinking lots of thoughts for you!

@LindsayInNY: Thank you for the hugs

I started my Gonal-F last night. It was easier than the last time I did this with Bravelle. But I was a little stressed learning the new routine. I'm sure over the next 9 days I'll get the hang of it. While I was at the RE I snapped a photo of the screen where they left up the details of my IUI that resulted in our now 10 month old son. I'm going to do my best to not obsess over matching that cycle exactly. But I will confess, I looked back at my calendar from 2013 and made note of when we BD so I can at least match that Feeling more positive today, and hoping that this one IUI is all we need for baby #2.

@sweetooth: Sending lots of positive thoughts for your cycle! And I will admit to looking at past cycle numbers and comparing them and trying to follow the same patterns. It is both crazy-making and gives me a small feeling of control at the same time!

@fotolori1: those are promising symptoms, but I get wanting to wait to test. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I posted a longer update in the 6+ months thread, but basically I'm back on the IUI train again after a roller coaster past few days of bleeding early while still on progesterone starting Saturday, a +HPT Monday on a whim, +beta Tuesday, fading HPTs Wed and today, and very low beta today.

But after getting the beta results today they called me back in for a baseline since my body seems to think it just had AF, and we're calling today CD3. Starting gonal-f again tonight, and just concentrating on the silver lining that at least we don't have to waste 3 months just for my cycle to start like we had to after my April m/c. Being able to move forward right away at least gives me something to look forward to!

  39. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@Sprite: Thinking of you but so glad you can move forward quickly!

I have still not started! I am seriously having a hard time NOT getting excited! I am NEVER late! I am testing in the morning when I wake up if still no AF.

@Sprite: I know you are having a rough time (understatement of the century) a loss is so hard to deal with no matter how early it is! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you to move forward and get your and it stick! Praying for you!!

@lindsayinny: When was your IUI? I can't remember.... when do you test? Do you go in for a beta or just a hpt?
