@AmeliaBedilia: wishing you so much luck today! We will both be PUPO today!!!

@GreenThumb: How did yours go? Are you transferring one or two? Sending prayers this works for both of us.
Two looking "great" others are not as far as they should be. Others are behind where they are supposed to be. Odds of freeze are "less than average." Transfer went smoothly. He used the word "thrilled." Estimated 65% chance! Said one of our embryos looked better than all the others of the other patients. If this doesn't work, still has favorable prognosis for another round. If pregnant, 30% chance of twins. So everything went as well as possible except wish the other three were better. Then I did acupuncture. Prayers please!

We are back home from our transfer. After a long discussion with the RE and embryologist we transferred a single expanding blastocyst. There are three more that will definitely be frozen and an additional 2 that they are watching to see if they are good enough for freeze. It is a relief to be in the TWW at this point. Beta will be on 1/29.

Were you both day 5 transfers?

@AmeliaBedilia: @GreenThumb: your embies look beautiful!! Congrats and now onto relax. Do you both have tomorrow off?

@Mrs. Pinky: @NorthStar: Thank you! The embryo photos are so much fun! We did have a day 5 transfer. I'm a stay-at-home mom, but luckily my DH is staying home most of the day tomorrow to help with our 2.5 year old. Kind of lucky that it is MLK day, so most of his colleagues are out of the office, too.
@Mrs. Pinky: How are you doing?
cherry / 120 posts
@greenthumb: doing fine! Trying to remain positive... My beta is not until 1/28...I don't know about testing early but my DH leaves for a long weekend that day so we might test the night before.
How is everyone else? @amorini: how are you doing?

@GoGoSnoGirl: @Shantuck: @jaguar: @agold: Thanks! It's great to have such support!
@GreenThumb: beautiful embryo, plus some to freeze- that's awesome! We probably won't get any frozen, but I'm still praying. Our betas are the same day! My beta is the anniversary of when DH and I met. I'm hoping you and I can blow up this board with 2 BFPs on the same day! Plus there are a few more after us. We need more positives!
@Mrs. Pinky: day 3. Two of our five were doing great, and the others are lagging. Hoping they rally!
@NorthStar: I have tomorrow off. I had moved a normal day off to Monday since I thought that would be our transfer, but it worked out pretty well. I also have Friday off, and going to have more acupuncture then.

@AmeliaBedilia: Looking good! The hardest part is over Now for the less than TWW to find out. Saying lots of extra prayers and crossing fingers!
@GreenThumb Embie looking great!! That's also a great freeze report! Looks like you have a lot to look forward to, and lots of options, in the future. Best of luck!!!!
Had another appointment and u/s Sunday. Same as the last, though they increased my gonal f by 25 units and added ganirelex. Another appointment Tuesday morning at 7am and he's 99% sure I'll trigger that night and ER on Thursday morning. Looking forward to getting this show on the road!
Here's a question for everyone...our Beta is on 2/4 (based on the timing of last round). That will be the day before I leave to go to a small family gathering with my dad's family from all over the country (flying in to watch the super bowl). My husband will not be with me since he has to work. I work for my father, so he's aware of the timing of all the appointments and tests and things. If we find out our beta is positive...do I tell my dad...alone? It's super super early and my husband is all about keeping it a secret for a while...but I know my face and attitude at the event will be a dead give away to my dad, good or bad. I'd like to just go ahead and tell my dad either way. He can keep a secret. Thoughts?

@waiting4you: This is going to be an exciting week for you! So glad you had a good appointment yesterday! Since your dad knows about your cycle, I think it would be great for you to share with him if you feel comfortable. Sounds like he has been there to support you guys already. Do you know why your DH doesn't want you to say anything to him?
apricot / 344 posts
@GreenThumb: I'm honestly not sure why he wants to keep it a secret other than the uncertainty of the first trimester. My thought is, the people we would tell early, would be the same people we would turn to if things did take a negative turn. And I'm not one to want to have to deal with the ups and downs alone (or just the hubby and I). We have extremely supportive friends and family...why not use that support?
I guess all this is a but premature anyway. Still a long way to go before a positive beta.

@waiting4you: @GreenThumb: @AmeliaBedilia: Glad to hear all is well with you ladies.
As for me, I had my second IVF prescan today. Again, my ultrasound was fine, but my estrogen was really high. Freaking 127! Lower than last week's 157 but still annoying as hell. RE is having me take swap my normal BC pill for one with super high hormones with hopes that it'll lower my estrogen. I'm also worried that the super high estrogen pills will make my crazy severe endo flare up. I have my THIRD IVF pre-scan in a week. Ugh! More waiting....

@Aqualov: Ugh! That sounds so frustrating! I hope the change in medication brings it down.
I should find out tomorrow or Wednesday about the other three. Yesterday they were behind where they were supposed to be. I'm so hoping they rally so we can get some frozen. That would make me worry less about this TWW. I don't want to have to go back to the drawing board!

@Aqualov: So frustrating!! I hope this gives it a kick in the teeth. xx
I have my FET lining scan and BT tomorrow. Anxiety through the roof!

I keep worrying I will do something to mess this up. Please tell me that as long as I am taking my medication and not doing something really stupid, that I will not hurt them.

@AmeliaBedilia: You're fine. They're microscopic and settled into a safe place. You won't hurt them Sorry you're stressing hon.

@AmeliaBedilia: So sorry. I was gutted when all we got were our 2 embies. I'm hopeful for both of us that we have all we need. Sending hugs.
@jaguar: Thinking of you! Hoping things are "lining" up for a great transfer. (Sorry for the bad FET pun. Gawsh!)

@AmeliaBedilia: so sorry! I know it will be hard, but try to put that aside for now (it is what it is and you can't change anything about it) to focus all of your positive energy on yourself right now!!

@Aqualov: I am really sorry that you are still in the waiting game. I hope that the new meds are the push you need to get that estrogen down!
@jaguar: Wishing you all the best with your check!! FX so hard that all is well!
@AmeliaBedilia: I am so sorry that you did not get a better report today. But I really hope that those two embies are doing their best to snuggle in right now so that they are all you need!
@waiting4you: How are you doing today? You had another check today, right? Any news about trigger yet?
apricot / 344 posts
@GreenThumb: you're correct. Appointment this morning. All is good. Trigger tonight at 11, ER on Thursday at 9. Anxious to get this show on the road. last cycle we had 9 follicles, 9 eggs, only 5 mature/fertilized, 2 made it to 5 day transfer and none to freeze. Like @ameliabedilia we didn't have anything to freeze. Ps, I'm so sorry things didn't work out with having extra. Big hugs and as others have said, hopefully the two you transferred are getting cozy and you'll be all set!!
pear / 1986 posts
@waiting4you: That's great news! Yay for triggering tonight!!! Thursday will be here before you know it!

@GreenThumb: what's your status on the additional 2 embies you're waiting on to see if they go to freeze? Fingers crossed for you!!
I'm so excited to hear all these results in the days/weeks to come!!
pear / 1986 posts
@waiting4you: Ugh, I love and hate my clinic right now . I called today (although I really think they should have called) and honestly the nurse didn't really have a clear answer for me. At first she said she didn't see anything in my file... um this is day 7, I think there is a report by now. Then she mentioned the 3 frozen on day 5. But she didn't see anything else. So there wasn't info about the other two. I see my doc in the satellite office so that's where I called, but I should probably call the main office where the embryology lab is located. But really, they actually should be calling me! Um... trying to be zen...
ETA: We are going to a wedding in about two weeks, so I'm concerning myself with finding new shoes instead!
apricot / 344 posts
@GreenThumb: ohhhhhhh do I feel your pain!!!! my clinic is pretty bad about getting back to me too. I had a biopsy done a while back. 2 weeks later I was still calling to try and get the results. They told me the doctor was out of town and that they couldn't give them to me till he got back. She finally got some sort of approval and then said..they're negative. Negative for what?! what was the test even for?! Come to find out that it was for endometriosis. Would have been nice if someone told me that going into the procedure! and then to wait 3 week to beg for the results. ugh!
Well, 3 making it to freeze is definitely a good thing, anything extra is a icing on the cake! What day is your beta again? the 28th?
pear / 1986 posts
@waiting4you: Oh man, that's terrible! Don't these offices know how important communication is for us patients?! We are all sitting here clueless about what's going on on their end!
My beta is next Friday, the 29th. Feels like forever away! My previous clinic (before we moved) would have tested on Tuesday!
