@AmeliaBedilia: I'm so sorry that you are disappointed! Take it easy today and hopefully, you will get an update on your embies soon. Try to focus on those that you do have and be hopeful for them! This will happen!

@AmeliaBedilia: I'm glad that your retrieval went well, but I am sorry you are disappointed about the number of eggs. Just wait and see what the fertilization report says. 8 is a great number, really!!! Rest up!

Anxious to hear whether we transfer tomorrow or Sunday. We should get a call first thing in the morning, but might be hard to get a good nights sleep tonight. Hope we have at least a couple of strong embies. Physically feeling pretty ok, but still crampy at the end of the day from the ER.

@endymion4: @dookie32: @NorthStar: @GreenThumb: @AmeliaBedlia: Thanks, ladies. I really appreciate you all being so supportive even though I'm not checking in as much!
Two cute little embies are in the oven. I'm already super attached and I hope they will be soon attached to me, too! I'll post a picture soon. I was pleased to learn that one was a Day 5 blasty and one a Day 6. For whatever it's worth anyway!
The procedure itself was rather painful because I guess my uterus is tilted and it took the RE some doing to get the catheter in there. I know from CM checks that my cervix goes into hiding sometimes. Anyway, I was glad I had taken the Valium cause holy ouch. I started tearing up it hurt so bad. But, on happy notes, I also had acupuncture and did some meditation directly on the table - 30 mins before and 30 mins after. I'll say this to the end of time: I have no idea what it does but it helps me.
Beta is 1/25. I was so certain I would be testing early, now I don't know. I've been doing really well lately just taking my meds and letting the cards fall where they may, so we'll see.
@GreenThumb: Congrats on the great retrieval and fertilization report!
I am so heartened to hear that you had such a drastically different experience on this protocol and I hope so much that it yields as many quality embies as you need to complete your family.
@AmeliaBedelia: Hugs, dearie. Congrats on making it out of retrieval all in one piece and with a fine number of 8. I know the stress of this ride is such torture but you are almost to the smooth sailing part ... the part where you just let nature take it's course (well, in the lab and under very medicalized conditions!) and leave it up to the powers that be. You have done your part in this miracle.... just keep taking your meds for transfer!
Like @GreenThumb last time, I had a huge number retrieved but only ended up with 2 for transfers (the ones in my uterus!). Others had less than 10 and ended up with all they needed and more in the freezer. You just never know how this is going to end up, so rest up and take it easy! Fingers crossed for an excellent fertilization report.

@Amorini: thanks and congratulations on PUPO!
Thanks everyone for the support. I'm having a rough go, which I think is part meds, and part that I thought The worst part of IVF was the five days to see how the embryos would do. I've had a huge fear they wouldn't do well, especially with a low amh. It makes it worse to suddenly have fewer than you expected from the "easier" part.
apricot / 344 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I totally get what you mean about having fewer than you thought. We had 9 eggs at retrieval, which I was super upset about. 5 of them fertilized, which was more than we expected and 4 of those 5 made it to day 5. We transferred 2 and though we didn't have anything make it to freeze, it was still nice to know that 4 of the 5 made it to day 5. Hoping for the best for you and that you get an excellent report tomorrow!
@AMORINI - Yayyy, PUPO! Hope those two little embies make themselves nice and cozy!!
@GREENTHUMB - hoping for a great report for you tomorrow!!! I know sleep will be tough, but hopefully you'll get at least a little shut eye. And if transfer isn't tomorrow, then you'll probably sleep great tomorrow night knowing you'll be ready for day 5!
We have our stim day 5 u/s and blood work in the morning. Hoping a few more follicles have grown and are in the running this time. Last cycle I didn't have my first u/s till day 5 so I had nothing to compare to when we had one on day 3 this time. Have a feeling I won't be getting much sleep tonight, like many of you!

I couldn't sleep much since I'm so worried about the fertilization report. Ever since the AMH came back super low, I've been worried about egg quality. Thanks for al the support!

Hi ladies,
I've been lurking along (surprised, right?) but have not been active for my sanity. It looks like there are a lot of wonderful things happening and I send good thoughts to each one of you as I read along
I'm scheduled to transfer my 2 frosties this morning!!! It's hard not be cautiously realistic if that's even a thing...I so so so want this to be it though.
Again, hoping/praying/wishing that 2016 is going to be a good year for all of us!

I just got the call from my nurse that all 6 embryos are doing great so they recommended a 5 day transfer on Sunday! I am so relieved! I was up all night with terrible heartburn because of my nerves.

@AmeliaBedilia: I'll be excited and hopeful for you!! Can't wait to hear your report today!!

@Amorini: I'm so sorry that your procedure was so painful! ugh.. but, SO unbelievably happy to hear that you have those two little babies snuggling in tight!! YAY for being PUPO!!
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm so sorry this is really stressing you out. They should be calling you today, right? You've done all you can and you gave your best, remember that. I cannot wait to hear how things are going.
@Mrs. Pinky: Good luck this morning! So many people are moving along this month!!
@GreenThumb: What an awesome update from the nurse! Day 5 transfers are definitely the best if they have you wait that long and it's only a few more days. On Sunday, right? Having 6 doing well at this stage is great too! Soon, you will be PUPO too!
I'm just hanging out here naturally trying until we start BCP at the end of the month. My CM is definitely showing that I will be ovulating soon, so glad we DTD last night and probably tonight too. DD is sick, so depends on how tired we are tonight..

Six mature, 5 fertilized and looking good. 50/50 on 3 vs 5 day transfer. He Said we should have at least 2, 50% chance to freeze. He sounds happy.

Very happy to report that at our 5 day u/s they DID find a few more follicles! Had about 8 at our 3 day and today the Dr. found about 13-14! Dr. plans to trigger on day 10 (more on this in a second), but we have another appointment Sunday morning and possibly Monday morning. As for the day 10 trigger...last round we had to trigger on day 8. In the WTF meeting after the cycle failed he told us that he's never had a successful pregnancy from a day 7 trigger and VERY few on day 8 triggers....said that day 10 triggers produce the most positive results. So hearing today that we will get to trigger on day 10 was music to our ears! Even works out that I'll be able to attend a party a few hours away from our home between ER and transfer that we weren't sure would be possible. The distraction during the wait will be great too! All around good appointment, despite the 3 hours round trip in the car and the 5:30 am wake up time.

Just checking in to wish all of you ladies an amazing January/early February and lots of sticky dust!!!

@Amorini: Congratulations! Sorry the transfer was that uncomfortable though. I'm sure that will be a distant memory soon and very much worth the !
@NorthStar: @endymion4: @waiting4you: @FliegepilzHut: Thanks everyone! We are excited again! I lost it after the phone call and just broke down and cried with relief. I've been holding strong and stoic this whole time, but clearly needed to let it out. What a rollercoaster!
@waiting4you: That sounds like a fantastic report! So glad that this cycle is going so well and the early morning paid off! FX for a great check on Sunday!
@Mrs. Pinky: I hope the transfer went great this morning!! Can't wait to hear an update.
@AmeliaBedilia: That sounds like a great update this morning! How are you feeling about it? Greater than 50% fertilization is awesome! When will you hear about day 3 or 5 transfer - Sunday? We might end up transferring on the same day!!
You know ladies, I wish I felt comfortable doing a roll call for all of our beta dates, but somehow that just doesn't feel right since we all have so much riding on this. I wouldn't want to see anyone's called out like they do on the POAS boards, even as exciting as seeing a bunch of
listed together would be. But know that I am thinking of all of you as we close in on some pretty important test dates over the next few weeks.

@waiting4you: so happy for a great report! I had a good feeling there would be more. Yea for a later trigger! I heard that requiring more than 12 days of stims correlates with decreased pregnancy rate so you're in the sweet spot!

And... Apparently I am allergic to doxycycline! My face swelled up today and the nurse at the RE said to stop the doxy. Glad today wasn't transfer day. Benadryl to the rescue!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@GreenThumb: I hear Sunday morning between 7:30 and 8 whether I have a 9:30 transfer. I would need to be there at 9:15. I texted my acupuncturist to see what she recommends since that is a tight timeframe. So either Sunday or Tuesday. I'm going to plan on Sunday and not having any to freeze, and if I do, it's a bonus. I'm somewhat relieved, still a little nervous, and a little excited that we got our DNA together for the first time that i know of!

Thanks for all of the sweet messages! We put our two frosties in this morning.
@ameliabedilia: Hang in there, the fertilization wait is worse than the TWW for sure.
@greenthumb: yikes! Never fun to discover an allergy...good luck in Sunday!!
@waiting4you: yay for more eggs! Sounds like things are on the right track!
@amorini: yay!! I hear ya on the attachment
@northstar: Fingers crossed for this natural cycle!

@AmeliaBedilia: @endymion4: @waiting4you: @NorthStar: @GreenThumb: @Mrs. Pinky: Thanks, ladies. I'm soaking up the love and positivity! It's 2dp5dt and super hard to not symptom spot even though I rationally know it's just the progesterone! DH has pretty much convinced me to not test early, though I might test the morning-of, just to prepare myself mentally for the workday. I was on modified bed/coach rest until this afternoon and slowly started rejoining the world again. I did our evening dog walk very slowly and we went out for dinner, too.
@Mrs. Pinky: Yay for a successful transfer! Hope those embies are getting cozy! When is your beta and will you be testing early? Wishing you so much luck that this is it!
@GreenThumb: oh, good thing you figured out your allergy ahead of time. Sending lots of sticky thought and baby dust for your transfer tomorrow! Are you transferring one or two?
@AmeliaBedilia: Yay for getting your DNA together. That's truly something to be grateful for! Best wishes for growing embies and a smooth transfer tomorrow or Tuesday.
@waiting4you: Sounds like things are moving right along! GL for a great check tomorrow!
@jaguar: When is your FET scheduled?

Two looking "great" others are not as far as they should be. Transfer today. Odds of freeze are "less than average." Please send prayers!

@AmeliaBedilia: Fingers crossed for you. I am mostly a lurker on this thread now, but out of all my transfers, the only successful ones have been my 3 day transfers so I feel really good about them. Wishing you lots of luck!!
