@jaguar: sending hugs and good thoughts as you get through this disappointment
cherry / 107 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Thanks:) It's more of how much I need of each, which I don't know yet since I don't know how much they'll reduce my Follistim once Menopur is added. Unfortunately two weeks is too long- I'll need more after just 4 days of stims, so 1 week from today! Your posts on meds have been super helpful.

Alright, looks like we're ready for trigger! At the check this morning the resident said 99% sure for trigger tonight and ER on Tuesday. I'll know for sure when they get the bloodwork back and hear from the nurse this afternoon. Go time!

@GreenThumb: So exciting.
I'm dreading this week. Early appointment on Monday, will probably have to order one more follistim cartridge (he thought he was going to decrease my meds and trigger Monday but now
Looking like Tuesday). Tuesday the earliest appointment I could get was 8:00, which is when I have to be at work. Last week I got a lot of pushback on changing my schedule so another change is stressful. I'm a little nervous about retrieval, but I'm terrified of the days after, waiting to hear the reports. How do you stay positive, yet be prepared for disappointments?
apricot / 365 posts
@GreenThumb: woohoo!
@AmeliaBedilia: I'd try to enter the week with as much positivity as you can muster---whether it's through journaling/meditation/colouring/dancing/running whatever you can do to get some of the dread out and be as stress free as possible (I know easier said than done!).
as for the days after, i just tried to stay as distracted as i could knowing it was out of my hands with books, movies, etc.
will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way!

And period arrived this morning - only 12dpo/14dpt - so I guess not being on any progesterone at all this random cycle didn't help my LP. Oh well, I obviously wasn't getting pregnant anyway!
Time to leave a message for my clinic.. CD1.. time to get this FET show on the road.
@GreenThumb: Exciting!
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm the worst at this.. but just remember that everything is TOTALLY out of your control, so whatever happens, happens. And breathe!

@endymion4: @jaguar: Thanks!
I'm having a ton of cervical mucus but not feeling much into ovaries- normal for day 9 of stims? Also, how likely is it to ovulate early? I'm on ganirelix, but worried that I'll ovulate less than 36 hours after trigger. Please tell me I'm being paranoid.
apricot / 365 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: only because you asked, "you're being paranoid"
i had the exact same thought before my retrieval!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: It is EXTREMELY unlikely you'll ovulate before pick up. The ganirelix will do its job. Lots of EWCM means your follicles are maturing nicely.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@endymion4: @jaguar: thanks! So if my last dose of ganirelix is Monday night, and I trigger Tuesday night, it's still extremely unlikely that I could ovulate Wednesday (day before ER) when the ganirelix is out off system?
This is hard enough, and I can't imagine doing it without all of your help and support. IVF is what separates the women from the girls.
pear / 1986 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Yup! I took my last cetrotide this morning, trigger tonight, no meds Monday, and ER Tuesday (35 hours after trigger). They time the trigger exactly with when your ER will be so you won't ovulate ahead of time. Lots of EWCM is a great sign! Try not to worry. The fact that nothing is in my control at this stage does somehow make me relax. Sending lots of positivity your way!!!

@jaguar: @endymion4: @NorthStar: @AmeliaBedilia: Thanks so much ladies! I'm excited!

@AmeliaBedilia: It'll be timed to the last few hours. You've got this!
@GreenThumb: You're almost at then home stretch!
Well, progynova has begun... blood test in 10 days.. get this show on the ROAD.

@jaguar: Great that you can get started on FET prep! So a transfer is just a few weeks away? Hoping it is smooth sailing for you. I'll be sending tons and tons of good thoughts your way!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@GreenThumb: Prob early Feb I'd say? I'm nervous. We have 7 frosties left (all day 4)... and you know how bad the last one went. (early miscarriage that dragged on for three months, ffs!)
pear / 1986 posts
@jaguar: I know, that's why I pray that this one is very much opposite of that one for you!
cherry / 107 posts
@GreenThumb: Yay, good luck!
@AmeliaBedilia: You're being paranoid;) Remember- the docs do this a bazillion times a year. Also, if it makes you feel better my schedule also says my last dose of Ganrilex is the night before the trigger with ER 36 hours later.

@Aqualov: Thanks!
I just realized that my follistim 300 cartridge had 133 units overfill. If this and the next cartridges both have the same, I still have 700 units left, which is probably enough for me not to order another. Hoping I can avoid the hassle and the expense.
pear / 1881 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: it should be fairly the same amount. I think that my follistim boxes had 120 overfill, so that sounds about right! Nice to save $$.

Ladies, my FET is this Thursday and all looks good. My lining is at a "fluffy" 11 mm as of 2 days a go, so it's looking like the hormones are doing their thing.. I'm so excited to be united with my snowbabies! Nervous but I can't wait because it will be the first real chance of being pregnant (as far as I know) ever! I lately feel more calm and peaceful if I just lurk over here a bit awhile. I'm rooting for each one of us and I'm so hopeful for a bunch of
in the near future!!!
@GreenThumb: Yay for the trigger and GL for an amazing ER! So glad it's your time finally!
@Aqualov: GL getting all of your meds together! Soon you'll be in the thick of it!
@endymion4: @NorthStar: Thanks for being amazing cheerleaders! I'm soaking up all of your positivity.
@AmeliaBedelia: Sounds like it's all going great! Soak in every ounce of positive energy and go with it. Good things are ahead.
@mrspinky: Are you cycling, too? Hope all is going well!
@jaguar: Glad to here you can dive back into FET prep, even though it's super scary. I saw this and thought of you.

@Amorini: I'm glad it's going so well! PUPO soon! xx

love the anxiety posts--definitely need to laugh about it all!

These pictures are great!
My scan was fine today. Largest at 18mm, 10-11 follicles. A few borderline. Lining is 11. He's confident ER will be Thursday. I had moved some days around schedule-wise and got an email from my boss about it. My boss doesn't even do the schedule, but the scheduling person complained to my boss. My work is supposedly very flexible, but now requiring that I take PTO instead of making it up. We don't get that much PTO and I just used a bunch for Paris and when I was on estrogen, so I'm very frustrated. They don't know about IVF, but I told the scheduling manager that I had some family stress and my uncle just died, so give me a break! I'm waiting to hear if my RE can move up my appointment tomorrow- otherwise I'll be 40 minutes late to work tomorrow. If I get a five day transfer, I'll need an extra day off work next week, but I might just call in sick that morning.
I'm super moody today. Time off work should not be this big of a stress. My one coworker who knows about IVF suggested I apply for FMLA so I don't have this headache in the future. I'd prefer not.

Love that everyone is right on the cusp of trigger shots! Sending TONS of GL to you all. I started stims last night. 50 units of Gonal F, 150 of Menopur and 12.5 units of human growth hormone. Made it thru day 1 of shots with no bruises too! Hopefully a sign of smooth sailing to come! Can't wait to hear about all the ER's coming up for everyone. And LOVE all the funny pics that Jaguar posted!! thanks for the laughs.

@waiting4you: Yay for starting stims!! Definitely hope everything goes really smooth for you. You're ER will be right around the corner!
@AmeliaBedilia: That report from today sounds fantastic! But I know that the work stuff stinks for you. Just do whatever you need to do for yourself at this point. I actually told work the first time around that I was having a "medical procedure" and let me tell you, no one really asks questions when you say that!
@Amorini: I am so excited for Thursday for you! Keep that peace and calm rolling! I'm so glad we can all support each other.
@jaguar: @Amorini: Thanks for all the pics ladies! It is so nice to have friends who get it.

Ugh... just heard from a friend who has had her own tough time with losses and possible IVF in 2016... she's 7.5 weeks pregnant. I'm happy for her, of course, but I also immediately called my mom and cried. Why did she choose to tell me the day before ER? Just makes me feel sad and bad for myself for some reason...
nectarine / 2192 posts
@GreenThumb: She has terrible timing. Sending prayers for a smooth retrieval and hopes you'll be pregnant soon! Are you doing a fresh transfer?
I just heard my day 10 estrogen is 827, up from 466 day 8. It was 285 on day 7. He wants me on the same dose of follistim- he had mentioned possibly decreasing the dose at the appointment but no dice. No one cancelled so I'll be late to work tomorrow. I let the scheduling manager know my doctor called and they wanted to see me tomorrow. I'm sure she thinks something terrible, but was fine. I'm a little worried that my estrogen didn't double. The nurse said it was fine. I'm so worried about egg quality and this is making me more nervous. My doc called my lining fantastic at 11, so maybe I just run low?
pear / 1986 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Thanks for understanding! Yes, we will do a fresh transfer. I had OHSS last time and should have done a freeze all. But this time everything seems well under control, so fresh it is!
Sorry the estrogen didn't double, but I did read it was tempered once the ganirelix or cetrotide was added in, so that was probably it. It really is going up really well for you, so don't worry! Glad that you let the scheduling person know you were going to be out in the morning. She may be annoyed now, but it will soon be forgotten.

@GreenThumb: Sorry your friend had to share her news with you at such a sensitive time. Hopefully this all goes smoothly and you'll be swapping pregnancy stories with her from just a few weeks behind
Like you, I got the news that my best friend was expecting but it was a week or so ago (along with EVERY. OTHER. PERSON. I. KNOW. on facebook) ugh!
I'm also invited to/going to a baby shower for the wife of my husbands partner at work, on Saturday of this week. 6 days into stims...sounds like a disaster in the making. Luckily they know what is going on, so I may just stop by, drop off a gift, say hello and then politely excuse myself and go home. Probably all I can take at this point.
I always try to tell myself, and my husband, try not to be too unhappy with those people and/or shut them out of your life. When it comes time for you to have great things to share, hopefully baby news, you'll want those people to be there for you and be just as happy as you are. Usually eases the pain a tiny bit.

I left all my Facebook groups and had a hiatus because it was all too much. SO much happy news from everyone, and we are still stuck in the same bubble we have been in for 2+ years this time around. I swear, G is the only kid I know who has no sibling.. it's breaking me!

Pre-IVF scan/bloods were today. Stims are cancelled indefinitely because my E2 is 157 and they want it below 50. They want to do another us/blood in a week and see how it is then. I've been on BC for 9 months, since we found out DH had no sperm, so I can't see what'll change and the nurses just said 'well that's the rule' and 'maybe you have a cyst', even though my ultrasound was clean. I asked the doc to call me but it's after 6 and no word yet. I'm hoping they're right and its an invisible cyst and not perimenopause or some crap like that. My mind automatically jumps to worst case scenarios anymore, I can't help it. Can't anything ever go the way it's supposed to for us? F! I was so excited to start IVF and my body can't even do that right because apparently it's a freaking trainwreck.

@Aqualov: I'm so sorry to hear that. That's awful! Sending prayers.
