@Winnie13: sheeeesh yeah with a number like that and knowing both were PGD tested, you've got at least 2 in there Cant wait for that ultrasound!

So, shockingly we already got our PGD results back. It only took 2 days. Wtf?!
Unfortunately it's not good. One was affected by my translocation and one was just abnormal on its own (missing chrom 8, not one of my translocated ones). Womp womp. It's a bummer but I was pretty prepared for this possibility so I'm totally ok.
So my doc called and I'll be on BC again this cycle and then next cycle I'll start stims. So prob about Nov 1st. He said he is doing a much more aggressive protocol this time and he'll have someone call me today or tomorrow to go over it.

@SweetiePie: Thank you for your encouragement! We didn't do any testing on our embryos though. These were just the best 2 we had. I think they were both B4's.
I'm so sorry friend. Saying a prayer for you. I'm glad your doc is being more aggressive next round! Hopefully that's all you need!

@Winnie13: oh that's right! You had to wait because of ohss. I was thinking it was for PGD testing. Duh. Well either way that number is insane!

@sweetiepie what a disappointment but good for you for having a plan in place to move forward and stay positive. Hugs to you and dh. That's my strategy too. I've already booked a consult with a clinic in ca for Nov 1 and requested the forms to have our embryos transfered. I just feel like maybe everything is too crazy right now with the move and we were asking too much for this one to stick? Beta is today and I just don't see it being good even though I have no logical reason. At least I have Italy tomorrow!!

@SweetiePie: wow, that is super fast for results. I'm so sorry it wasn't the results you were hoping for. But glad to hear you're doing ok and have a plan forward.
@Mrs. Pajamas: Woman! You need some cheapie Wondfos or something at least! I don't know how you can stand it! HAHA. Good luck with the beta today! Where in Italy are you going?? And for how long?
My arm is flipping sore today. This temp lady at Quest sucks and it freaking hurt! I dunno how it can be so different every time. Sometimes I don't feel a thing, and sometimes I just want to punch them for inflicting so much pain! But at least she put it in stat... so I know I'll eventually hear something probably late afternoon again...

@SweetiePie: oh wow - those were quick results and I"m so sorry that they were not the results that you are hoping for. But, yet, I'm thankful that at least you know and can move forward with another round in coming months.
@Mrs. Pajamas: Good luck at your beta today! I still can't believe that you've never POAS!

@SweetiePie: so sorry to hear this. Must be so disappointing, but thank goodness you heard sooner than later so you can get started sooner than later. Hugs!

@Mrs. Pajamas: Hoping for a great beta today!! I'm sorry you're not feeling very positive. It's a rollercoater of emotion! Glad you have a new clinic all picked out! Hoping you won't need it though!
@PurplePumps: I'll be checking in for as long as possible! Can't wait to see those numbers jump!
Hoping we don't lose power! We are in Jax and it hasn't hit us yet... around 1 today!!

So, I'm hypothyroid and my last level check was in June and my levels were .4. I called my Endo on Tuesday when I got my positive Beta and had my levels checked yesterday. My TSH is already 9.4! Both of my offices are closed due to the hurricane, so I'm calling first thing Monday. I'm thinking of increasing my dose on my own... like taking a dose and a half just until Monday. Thoughts? Should I just leave it until Mon?
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Winnie13: I'd be a little weary to change dosages on my own call. Do they have an after hours number you can call? There must still be someone on call to answer questions, right?
kiwi / 501 posts
@PurplePumps: Yes, both offices do. I just don't know if this is an emergency. I just know that high TSH is no good during pregnancy. After thinking about it, changing my dosage is too risky... I'm just a worrier. Definitely not one of my best traits!

@Winnie13: Do they charge for after hours calls? If it concerns you, I'd have the on call doc give you a call. I mean, after all.. it IS still a business day and they're all probably just hunkered down not doing much anyway in the storm right? haha Did they get these results as well?
kiwi / 501 posts
@PurplePumps: You've convinced me! I don't think they charge for after hours calls... I've called before with the whole progesterone fiasco and didn't get charged for anything, so it's worth a shot!
Have you heard anything yet??
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Winnie13: Nothing of course... and I just know the moment I email her, she'll tell me she's waiting on the fax... so I really don't want to jump the gun and bug her again if I could just wait a *littttle* longer. Maybe I'll give them till 4:30 today and then I'll bug her if I don't hear anything.

@Mrs. Pajamas: Yayayay!!!! Congratulations!! So, so happy for you!!! Enjoy Italy and celebrate!!!

@PurplePumps: You're way more patient than me! I called my clinic 2 times (in 3 hours) waiting for my results yesterday! I just wanted them to know I was still there... just waiting!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Mrs. Pajamas: Congrats!!! Does that make you want to pee on a stick just to see a pretty line? haha
@Winnie13: aaahh! Don't tempt me!! It's taking everything I got not to shoot her a quick message.
kiwi / 702 posts
@purplepumps ha!! Not really? I just want to go to Italy and not stress about this or my move anymore. Movers just left so we have an empty house. Totally surreal.
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Winnie13: Ok, I totally just emailed them under the guise of asking about the fax number since the req they gave me didn't have one.... and they have like 3 different ones that I know of, so I wanted to make sure the one I gave was valid hahaha

@Mrs. Pajamas: Italy will be awesome!!!! What great news to start the trip with!!!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Winnie13: She confirmed it was the right number... but no results yet. At least it was a gentle reminder that I'm waiting....
kiwi / 501 posts
@PurplePumps: Hehe!! She now officially knows that you are ready to get your results! Life on the crazy side can be thrilling! Lol!!
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@Winnie13: I kinda don't want to answer the call and let it go to voicemail so I can listen on my own and not be on the phone with them if its bad news... but I don't now if they will leave the info in voicemail.

@Mrs. Pajamas: yay!!!! Congrats!!! What an awesome way to go to Italy! Maybe buy some bottles of wine that you can enjoy post baby

@PurplePumps: I get that... my heart was in my throat with each phone call. The first call I was on the playground with my kiddos! You just got to answer it and think positively. Don't think the worst unless you have to. Right now, your levels are rising and that's a great sign!

@PurplePumps: yes!!!!!! Woohoo!!!! Congratulations!!! That is the best news!!!!

So in the midst of a horrible stomach bug yesterday I got my period. Yay? Haha.
Tomorrow AM in for day 3 again and start BCP tomorrow night. They'll only have me on 17 days this time and then injections 4 days later. I think that's what they said. I was half asleep.
Anyway, at least it won't be too long before I can start again.
