@SweetiePie: wow that is so fast for results. I a, so very sorry about the outcome, but happy that you have a plan and that your dr is ready to be aggressive. Hoping you're able to enjoy the long weekend.
@Mrs. Pajamas: YAYYYYYYY!!!! Oh my goodness - enjoy Italy and celebrate this great news!!
@PurplePumps: woooooo!!! What a long day today must have been but hooray for incredible. Results!!
@SweetiePie: thanks for asking! Can't believe that we can "technically" call ourselves pregnant for the next few days (that's how I'm thinking anyways) appointment and everything went well - and we even took advantage of the McDonalds fries "tip" haha! I'm trying hard not to overthink everything, but as you all know - that's. Freaking hard! Test is on the 17th and I'm pretty much already counting down the minutes

@SweetiePie: @Winnie13: thanks ladies! She's got some willpower so she might stick it out if it were up to me we'd be testing already

Iffffffff I can talk her into it. - what's a reasonable timeframe to expect an "accurate" result...7 days post transfer?

@MissKabers: A lady I met on resolve just got a positive on a FRER 4dpt5dt.. that's the earliest I've ever heard of seeing a positive. I didn't test at 6dp last time, but this time, it was so super faint I didn't even believe it yet. By 7dp both times though, it was clear. But I was also using cheapie expired wondfos, so if you're using FRERs, I'd venture a guess that 7dp would be a good day to test. But also keeping in mind, that if it's not positive yet, it's not game over yet cause some people don't see it until later than that too.

@misskabers thinking positive thoughts for you and dw during this anxious next few days.
@sweetiepie are you already back on bc or whatever you take for suppression for retrieval? What's your new timeliness like?
@momazon @winnie13 @purplepumps how are you all feeling?

@Mrs. Pajamas: We have our first ultrasound on Wednesday (I'll be 6 weeks and 4 days) so I am just feeling nervous but hopeful. No problems yet other than two tiny incidences of spotting, but it's always questionable for me until I see the sac and the little baby on the screen. Hopefully we'll be able to see any early heartbeat flicker at this stage.

@MissKabers: By five days, I could usually see the line. By seven days, my husband could always see it. He isn't a good squinter haha.

  11. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@MissKabers: I had a squinter at 4dp5dt. By 7dp5dt it was very clear and I felt confident showing DH.

@Mrs. Pajamas: I started BCP on Saturday night. Well, actually Sunday morning since I forgot Saturday (we went to dinner with friends) and I bolted up in bed on Sunday realizing I forgot. So I took one in the morning yesterday and one in the evening. I didn't even ask I just figured it's fine since it's not being used in the traditional sense.
17 days of bcp this time so I'll be done by 10/24 and start stims on 10/28! I still don't know what my protocol will be, I go in tomorrow to sign the next round of paperwork so I'll find out then. But thinking mid November for retrieval which is a relief because I don't need to worry about thanksgiving. We might travel to my family which is a flight away and I was probably going to skip November stims if the dates didn't line up well. Glad no setbacks!
I'm kinda telling myself again that this will be my last retrival. I just don't want to do this over and over and I want to draw a line somewhere. So we'll see how this one goes. If it's pitiful again maybe I can be swayed. But if we get a nice number to test and still have nothing, I think I'm calling quits. One and done is ok by me since I've kind of told myself we probably would be because of all this. I just wanted to give it a shot.

@SweetiePie: Hoping and praying you get some good embies from this one! I understand though. It's just so much emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially!
@momazon: I'm hoping and praying you get some great news on Wed!! I understand though. When you see it on the screen and you hear that heartbeat it's just so real!
@Mrs. Pajamas: I'm feeling ok. I'm worried a lot, so that's never good. It's hard to truly believe this is happening. I trust in God and in His plan, but I just can't seem to stop the worry. All I have is some cramping, twinges, and pulls. No other symptoms. I'm grateful for that, but I almost feel like if I had some other symptoms it would feel more real!! How are you doing??

  14. PurplePumps

    pomegranate / 3809 posts

@Winnie13: I'm glad you mentioned the minor cramping, twinges and pulls. I start going nuts when I feel any sort of cramping or anything, and have to keep telling myself that it's totally normal.

Other than that.. feeling no symptoms. Oh! Aside from the slightly bloated boobs. That's my 'everything is still going good sanity check'. *Looks down as I get dressed every morning*. Yup, looking bigger than normal, must still be pregnant. LOL.

  15. PurplePumps

    pomegranate / 3809 posts

@SweetiePie: It's good to have a general plan... but I think try to not worry too much past the next step until you have to. I know we try plan and think of all the different scenarios, but it's just so hard to know until you get there. I swore at the start of this I'd "never" bother with more than 3 retrievals... and here we are 5 retrievals later.... Hopefully it works out next cycle and you don't have to make any hard decisions other than when should we transfer!

  16. Winnie13

    kiwi / 501 posts

@PurplePumps: Yup, feeling nothing besides the cramps and pressure! I wish my boobs would do something... hurt, itch, tingle, swell... something!! I just want some indication that I'm pregnant! Lol!!

@momazon: haha! "he's not a good squinter" - I have a feeling those of us here are experts Yay for your first ultrasound! Can't wait to hear how great it goes tomorrow!

@SweetiePie: I think we are going to try and wait it out until Saturday to test, which would be 7dpt5dt So glad to hear that you are able to get this cycle in without having to worry about the holidays. The stress of "everything lining up" when there are lots of things going on is just another thing to add to the list.

@Winnie13: @PurplePumps: continuing to think good thoughts for both of you! Do you have ultrasounds scheduled? it is so crazy to think how much earlier/more you see the baby when you go through this process. With our first, we almost had to beg for an ultrasound at 12 weeks since the MW say it isn't necessary if they have heard the heartbeat

Ok got my new protocol today. Mircoflare lupron. Very interested to see how this works.
I'll start on 10/28 and retrieval looking to be around 11/11.
Meds order being placed today. Bring it on!

So my husband is out at a concert tonight. Shall I be brave and try to do my PIO and Delestrogen injections myself? Ahhhhhhh I don't know if I can do it! I've never done an IM shot myself - lots of subQ ones myself of course, but never the big guns! I could always just wait till he gets home as it'll only be a few hours late.

@momazon: popping in to say I did all my PIO injections myself. It's not too scary once you do it once! My nurse always advised me not to go two hours past my usual time. But I really don't think one late injection will harm anything.

@Mrs. Pickle: That's because you're brave and awesome!!! But I'm a wimp!!! OK, you have given me some courage, I will attempt it after I get the baby to bed! Thank you!!

  34. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@PurplePumps: don't panic yet, it could still be ok. Is it thin red blood or clotty? Are you going to ER or anything? I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this. Keep us updated.
ETA did you do anything before it started? Sex or workout?

@PurplePumps: I'm praying that all is okay with you. Bleeding is common with ivf pregnancies. It can be so alarming but still be okay. I had lots of bleeding shortly after my good beta results. I cried miscarriage all over HelloBee. I bled throughout first trimester but baby was okay. Hoping all the best for you. Call your RE first thing tomorrow morning. And consider serious bedrest. I believe bed rest saves babies.

@PurplePumps: What @agold: said. We had several m/c scares and it was terrifying - the bleeding is no joke. I'm keeping everything crossed for the same for you. xx

@PurplePumps: ditto to @agold: and @jaguar: I had TONS of red bleeding right at 6 weeks and thought for sure it was over but when I got to the RE everything was ok. It happened again at 9 weeks. So scary but I do think it is common with Ivf pregnancies. Fingers and everything crossed for you!

Clotty, lots of large clots, heavier than my heaviest period days. Im pretty sure my entire uterus just emptied itself. I'd be shocked if anything was left in there. ...

  39. bloved

    persimmon / 1114 posts

@PurplePumps: is it still happening? I really don't want to provide false hope but mine was the same. Lots of clots, dark red blood and every time I coughed or anything huge spurts (sorry to be gross) would push out. I Know I went through multiple pads in rapid succession. However it did stop after a few hours and was then just spotting. Do you have an appointment?

  40. PurplePumps

@bloved: yea, i woke up to a bloody murder scene in my bed. I'm actually waiting at Quest for blood work now, and have orders from my doctor to get an ultrasound today.
