@SweetiePie: yay! Good luck. I was only told to take it easy the day of transfer but I did take vacation days for the rest of the week. My transfer was also on a Wednesday.

@SweetiePie: My RE instructed that I stay on bedrest for the day of the transfer and the day after. I went back to work after that. I had so much going on at work that I just couldn't take the extra day off. I say that if you can swing it, then take it off and rest.

@sweetiepie: My RE said to be on bedrest for 24 hours after the transfer, and then to take it easy for 3 days after. So if the transfer had been at 2pm on a Wednesday, I would have been on bedrest until 2pm Thursday. I usually ended up taking 2 days off. Depending on how busy things were and how physically demanding my job was, I would take Friday off too.

@msmug: I'm a soon-to-be (but not too soon!) twin mama. My b/g twins are due in May!
@SweetiePie: Good luck today! I did bedrest the rest of my transfer day and the day after. Two days after I was back to work. Do whatever you feel comfortable with!

I had another monitoring appointment this morning... my E2 is up to 500 and I have 7 measurable follicles (biggest is 15mm) and 10-20 smaller ones (they do ranges instead of exact #s). I go back in Friday morning for more monitoring!

oh and @SweetiePie: wasn't it you that said the Ganirelix needle was duller than the others? DH said the same thing last night - that he felt like he had to almost force it through my skin! It also burned/stung after, which the Gonal-F never did, but apparently that's common.
honeydew / 7463 posts
@Shutterbug: Yay! Keep growing those eggies!
And yep, I was the one that complained (like a baby) about the Ganirelix. I also felt like I had to force it in! It felt really weird, like I was stabbing myself, haha. It did burn the most too.
But honestly, once you finish the dosage you'll be like "eh that wasn't so bad!" Here's to hoping that was the one and only time either of us need to use it! Well, at least until we're ready again

There are so many of you to reply to and I'm on my phone! Wah! Thank you all for your good vibes and responses! I'm going to play the next couple of days by ear. Doc definitely told me to remain calm and relaxed in bed today and tomorrow so I'm doing that for sure (twist my arm! Friday we'll see. I probably should go in since it's a busy season for us, but i already set the expectation that I might WFH.
The transfer went extremely well, the RE and embryologist were very pleased with the embryo quality after it thawed. And the procedure itself went great too!
I'm home watching my soap and enjoying the day off. is it bad that I already have the urge to POAS?!? I won't, because I know it isn't possible for a few more days, but I can't wait to start!
Jan 20th is first beta!
So much waiting in IVF!!!!

@SweetiePie: Congrats on being pregnant until proven otherwise! My fingers are crossed for you!!

@tequiero21: thank you!!! We only transferred one because that's all we had. I have a chromosomal abnormality that causes recurrent miscarriages. So I had to get PGD testing. Of 13 eggs, only 1 was normal
Kinda sucks and we were really hoping for 2, but if I get one healthy baby I'll be ecstatic!
@twodoghouse: Thank you!!! I just read about that term today...PUPO. I love that idea!

@SweetiePie: o yeah, I remember now. One is heck of a whole lot more than none! That's all you need for a pregnancy! Woo!

@msmug: I know that sugar.biscuit also just had twins two weeks ago. They're not from IVF, but she had a bunch of posts on the multiples boards in the last few months. There may be one other mama, too, but my brain is failing me right now as to who...

@SweetiePie: so, so excited for you!! I know there's tons of waiting involved, but I'm so glad that this day is actually here!! Sending you all of the sticky, doubling thoughts I can muster

@SweetiePie: SOOO exciting! What day are you going to test? Are you waiting for the beta or POAS? EEEEEE!!! I am so hopeful for you:)
@kentuckygirl: Wow excited for you too!! When is your beta? @Shutterbug: sound like they are growing good:)

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thank you My official date to start POAS is Sunday at 4dp5dt. Whether I can hold out until then? Who knows
In past natural pregnancies (miscarriages) I got BFPs around 8 or 9dpo, so hoping (FX) I can get that early BFP now too

@Shutterbug: Hope your monitoring goes well today! Keep us updated!
@SweetiePie: I'm so excited to hear your POAS results!

@twodoghouse: thanks! It went well, now I have 13 measurable follicles! The US tech said not to be surprised if they want to see me again tomorrow, so I guess I'm in the home stretch. (BTW - my new favorite thing to do is to go back to the beginning of this thread and re-read when you, justdarling, kentuckygirl, apex, etc were all going through this. It was fun to see your updates again now that I'm going through it too!)

@Shutterbug: That's awesome news! It sounds like you're responding well and should have a nice, bountiful retrieval soon
And a transfer soon after! Yay!

@SweetiePie: how are you feeling? Did you give in to the POAS monster yet? lol

My egg retrieval is scheduled for Monday morning! Trigger tonight and a much needed break from needles tomorrow. I'm most nervous about the IV!

@Shutterbug: good luck on Monday! The worst is almost behind you. I practically cried tears of joy after my last shot. I hope they retrieve lots of eggs.

@Shutterbug: yay so excited for you! Enjoy your injection-free day tomorrow!

@Shutterbug: Hi! I most definitely gave in today, haha. Today I'm 3dp5dt which is 8dpo-ish. I got my last bfp at 8dpo so I was hoping I could muster up another one! Stark white this AM. Took another this evening and there might have been a hint of a smidge of a shadow. But I probably am imagining it
I do feel a little crampy now so hoping that is a good sign but who the heck knows
I have zero willpower so I'll probably continue to test twice a day until a clear bfp or a neg beta...or I guess AF! She might appear before beta day since it's 12dp5dt.
Whoop whoop for Egg Retrieval! You are in the homestretch!
Enjoy your needle-less day and a nice meal with hubby on Sun night! The retrieval is a breeze because it's over before you know it! Can't wait to hear how many eggies you got
clementine / 770 posts
@SweetiePie: you should totally put up a pic of the last stick. I got my first bfp at about 3dp5dt. Yes I started with 4 babies, but you never know....

@Shutterbug: I'm so happy you're finally making the ivf trip. Hope your journey remains short. Are you getting knocked out for the retrieval?
honeydew / 7463 posts
@Apex: Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one POAS-ing at 3dp5dt! I felt like a wacko!
Honestly it's not even worth posting! I can barely see it let alone my internet friends And after looking a few more times I realize it's probably in my head.
But as soon as I get anything that legitimately needs a 2nd opinion I'll post!

@shutterbug: yeah! Monday can't come fast enough. I'll be thinking about you all day.
@sweetiepie: I think you may have to share that pic, my friend.

@SweetiePie: if u post it, maybe someone can do internet magic to see if it's there. U know, playing with the contrast and what not!

@tequiero21: @Happygal: @twodoghouse: @littlek: @babycanuck: I'm seriously too embarrassed. The more I look at it, it's stark white. I should really stop this early POAS nonsense. I'm just so excited, I've been itching to POAS since September!
