I'm not very hopeful. I'm having spotting and feel crampy. My temp is still high and went up this morning but mine usually stays high until well after my period

@MamaBear87: What dpo are you? Have you tested?

  6. MamaBear87

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@crazydoglady: I'm at 11dpo. I've not tested. I'd really rather just wait. Seeing a negative test is depressing

    My chart is pretty though

@MamaBear87: I TOTALLY understand. I usually waited for AF because BFN are so disheartening.

@crazydoglady: waiting is so rough but I hate the weird hope/crushed feeling of an early negative

    @coopsmama: Congrats!!

@MamaBear87: I've seen so many bfp charts with spotting. Hang in there lady! Will you test 14 DPO if no AF? I use to hate testing early but figured I have so many tests laying around I should start using them. Plus if it's a no then I can enjoy a nice glass of red wine, guilt free. This cycle I'm waiting for my blood test results. If I am patience enough.

Triphasic chart, maybe? My temps in my FP tend to land around 97.3-5. Trying to not get my hopes up. 🤞

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@Mrs Lavender: i might test in the morning....haha well see! I keep swinging back and forth figuring I'm out and then thinking maybe I'm not
Is your blood test on the 19th? Fingers crossed for you 😊
My chart also maybe is trending triphasic...

Did you not chart the beginning of your cycle since it was medicated? It's hard to say if it's triphasic if you don't have follicular phase Temps just because you don't know what your temp was before o

  12. Mrs Lavender

    apricot / 302 posts

@MamaBear87: I didn't chart my pre o temps because they are pretty consistent - I feel like I've been charting forever. They stay low around 97.3-5 pre o. I figured I had my rise the day after trigger which was on CD 12. So the rise on CD 19 would be the third shift. Blood test is scheduled for the 19th but may try to get in there the 18th.

Ahh! Good luck to you! I hope it's a !

  13. MamaBear87

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@Mrs Lavender: then yes I would agree you're trending towards triphasic! Hopefully tomorrow continues the trend.

Me too! I hope for a positive for both of us!!

Well no testing for me. I'm out. Af appeared this morning. Now on to worry that my luteal phase keeps being all over the place with number of days 😣

Well I started spotting on Friday (brownish on 7dpo), nothing yesterday so I was hopeful but saw some red this morning at 9dpo. I spotted early last month and AF followed so I’m pretty sure I’m out. I don’t usually spot for multiple days so not sure what is happening with my cycle the last 2 months.

    @Bluemasonjar: @MamaBear87: Oh no, I'm sorry!

This morning's temp went back down to my others at 98.07. Still high but no triphasic chart for me.

@Bluemasonjar: i swear ttc has made my body insane! It does make me feel better that yours is a bit all over the place too, so perhaps it's normal! Fingers crossed you're just having some weird spotting and you get a bfp

  19. MamaBear87

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@Mrs Lavender: yeah my temp had a giant drop and then bleeding followed an hour later.

But you just had a dip! Still could totally be a postive on the way

@MamaBear87: I'm so sorry! TTC just plain sucks when it takes longer than you hoped. What's your luteal phase range?

  21. MamaBear87

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@crazydoglady: I've only charted 2 months. But tracked with opks before then. Looks like I had a couple months at 12, most at 13 so 11 isn't totally crazy. Feeling better after a good cry!

    Congrats, @coopsmama!!

I'm 6dpo and trying (and failing) to stay positive about a bfp. I don't have any symptoms and my temp's hanging out above my coverline, but I can't seem to convince myself that AF isn't ready and waiting in the background.

@afc061018: The TWW is so hard! No advice except try to hang in there! I'm at 9 dpo and going crazy too. 😩

So I've had zero spotting since yesterday morning and was too anxious to test when I woke up today. DH convinced me to try and test later this morning and it was a BFN. I'm only 10 dpo and it wasn't FMU so I know I'm not out yet but keep waiting for the spotting to come back and AF. Hate being in limbo like this and I usually keep it to myself but am trying to be better about sharing to help ease my mind.

I'm not temping so not sure exactly when I ovulate, but DH convinced me to take a test Friday evening and it was negative (CD23). However, I am a water guzzler so pee is always super diluted. And the test expired in October 2013. I don't know how bad a preg test can really get...

I stupidly let myself test again with FMU the next morning on CD24 and also a BFN. Alas, the test was also expired, but in May 2017.

Does anyone know how much the expiry date on a preg test actually matters? I got a BFP with my 2 year old in March 2015 with the other October 2013 test lol!

CD26 now and just waiting to get my period. I don't normally have a lot of symptoms, so I honestly have no idea what's going on. I'm already feeling like I'm out though and super irritated because DH is traveling for work basically during my entire next predicted fertile window

    Cycle Day: 22
TTC Cycle: 2nd month charting and using OPKs, 5th month NTNP
    Ovulation Date: 1/7
    POAS Date: 1/17

Favorite winter activity: Fall and winter are my favorite seasons, I love staying cozy inside and knitting or reading.

TWW is stressing me out. My temp dipped a lot today, but not under the cover line. We’ll see, I’m not holding out too much hope. Good luck to everyone!

@Mrs Lavender: Solidarity! I'm suuuper negative about it today, and I don't have any reason why. My DH is so positive, it's incredible.

@Bluemasonjar: I am trying to be better, too, so I understand. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though! At 10dpo, you still have a shot!

@yogifish: I'm afraid I don't have any experience with expired tests, so I can't speak to that. I did have a cycle back in September that was 38 days long, and I normally run 28, so it was a full 10 days longer and I kept getting BFN over and over. It drove me crazy. How long is your cycle normally?

@greencraftycello: Hello! Maybe the temp dip was an implantation dip? Fingers crossed it shoots back up tomorrow!

@afc061018: before my little guy was born 26 days. Since my period came back mostly 26 days but have had a one 25 day cycle, a 27, and a 29 day cycle. So pretty much all over the place!

@MamaBear87: I can relate to that feeling, I think a lot of us can. After 20 months ttc with 1 mc sometimes I think what if my body isn't capable of carrying a baby.

@greencraftycello: Ugh, sorry about the negative. Hoping it's still too early for you.

@Mrs Lavender @ MamaBear87: It makes me feel better to hear I'm not the only one struggling to believe a BFP is possible. I've been off BC since 2016, and though we didn't start to actively try until summer 2017 (DH traveled often for work, making it hard to time it correctly before then), I've wondered how we could be so far into this and still not have gotten a BFP (I'm also regretful we didn't start earlier). It's also interesting how different my husband and I view this time. While I consider the time post-BC on as "trying," he doesn't start counting until summer 2017, when he stopped traveling for work. So while he's still positive, I feel drained and disappointed. It's interesting how different we've interpretted the TTC time.

@Mrs Lavender: I so hope this is your month! Everything to do with ttc is so hard

  37. MamaBear87

    nectarine / 2288 posts

@afc061018: I think it's a bit easier for men because they don't have all the hormone fluctuations the same as us. My husband is disappointed when my period shows but doesn't have the pain and changes a period brings so he's more able to deal with it. I hate how irrational I get but have been trying to talk to him and get it out here which seems to help.

We're you hitting fertile times when your hubby was traveling? If not maybe that's why he doesn't count that time?

I've not been trying that long. I can't even imagine how much it sucks to have tried all that time. You ladies are so strong!!

@afc061018: The traveling thing really stresses me out. DH only travels maybe 20%, 3-4 trips the entire year. If the trip looks like it's going to cut into our fertile time he tells his boss he has to be home and they send someone else. So far that has not been an issue, however, if it ever is we will tell him what we are going through. I think he would be supportive. Especially knowing we still have no baby and he knows about our mc in 2016. Does your DH still have to travel? Are you seeing a RE or still trying on your own? Any diagnoses?

Totally agree with you, @MamaBear87:, regarding the hormones. Thanks, you are one strong mama too!

  39. afc061018

    apricot / 301 posts

@Mrs Lavender @MamaBear87: When he traveled, I would only use OPKs when I thought he'd be home during the window, which wasn't often (his travel was 50-75% of the month at its peak). I know I shouldn't hold that year against us because of that, but a part of me can't help it. And yes, that's why he doesn't count that time. I also wasn't temping or tracking CM or anything else, just OPKs. Last July, he changed positions, so he doesn't travel at all now, which means since July we've been able to really start trying and fully tracking, but still no BFP.

If it doesn't work this cycle, I'll see my OB on the 29th. My OB's office does some fertility treatments in-house, so I'll have a better idea of how we're proceeding after that meeting.

@afc061018: I totally get all the frustrations and hopefully this is your lucky month and you don't end up needing a fertility appointment
