January POAS - New Year, New Babies!

    I can't pinpoint O. My usual tell tale signs weren't there this time. In fact, I feel like I could possibly even be ovulating today at CD17 which is really late for me. So I can't even guess at what DPO I am/will be.

    I may start testing at the end of next week...like Thursday or so and put it out of my mind until then.

    @Ajsmommy: Your not out until AF rears her head.
    I tested this month more than I normally do, I think it actually is making the emotional rollercoaster worse for me.

    FX for you and all of the women here this month!

    My update : I've really been overdoing it on caffeine. My excuse is my soon-to-be 10mo's double ear infection. CM is looking good with AF due on 1/13. Also, my sinuses are driving me CRAZY, which happened during LP with my first. Good, but annoying!

    @Litebrite: I'm too addicted to fb to quite! and one of my pg friends is a work friend so I see her everyday...

    @bloomingflower: thanks!! I know it's not over til she's here but I can just tell. I keep getting twinges in my uterus like af is about to start and I've been really cranky the past few days and starving.. all pms signs for me

    Tomorrow I have my blood work so i'll know for sure. Def sad to confirm bfn but also hoping to get a plan for this next cycle so I can focus on something else. (and get my hopes up again.. LOL!!)

    @artsyfartsy: I'll be right there with you! I had some cramping last night. It was probably nothing and/or my imagination, but I still can't help letting my mind run wild...

    @combatlibby: Eh, I'm sure the caffeine isn't hurting (or at least I hope not! I had a steady stream of coffee going during the holidays). The 13th isn't far away, fingers crossed for you!

    @artsyfartsy: I'll probably be testing next Thursday as well. I'll only be 10dpo, but I doubt I could wait any longer than that.

    @Litebrite: That's awesome!!!! It's the best when our bodies act like they are supposed to! I didn't ovulate naturally until Sept. I think this journey is all about the little celebrations! FX you get your BFP!

    @marley: It def doesn't sound like you are out! Check your temp tomorrow... If it's still high, I'd POAS and call your doc!

    @Winnie13: I'm definitely out because we would've missed the other fertile windows. I think I either did not ovulate or ovulated really late. I'm ready for a new cycle. Goodluck to you all this month!!!!

    Cycle Day:
    TTC Cycle #: 4 (CP in Cycle 1)
    Ovulation & POAS date: I think it's coming in the next day or so. I'm hoping to hold out until 12DPO this time
    Baby #: 1
    Your plan this month: RELAX and Chill-the-FO I have been doing super well with it this month (after a really bad week when I got my period - it was not good). I'm having a super duper long cycle - I'm on CD 24, and still haven't had my temp rise, but think it'll be in the next day or so.
    For Fun: Did you make any resolutions other than to get a BFP? My biggest priorities right now not "resolutions" are getting budgeting in order and konmari-ing my house

    Best wishes to everyone!

    @narwhal: Good luck! This month I've been a lot more chilled than my previous ttc cycles, and it feels so so good to not obsess! I think the holidays distracted me enough.
    I hope you get your temp spike soon. It's good that you have a sense of when you will O. That's something I'm working on now - paying more attention to my body to recognize when it's gearing up to O.

    @narwhal: Good luck this month!

    @Ajsmommy: Sorry to hear that Hope next month is better for you.

    Chilling over here at around 6dpo. It was my goal to just relax this month and I must say, I'm so impressed with myself. I decided not to temp this month, and only use the 1 OPK I had left over. I thought for sure I'd give in and start temping mid cycle, or go and buy more OPK's, but I've been so relaxed. We found out my sister is pregnant with her first. If I get a BFP this month, we will only be like 2.5 weeks apart. I was worried that if I got pregnant before her, that she would be bummed, so I hope with my relaxing month, plus knowing that she's pregnant now, that this cycle will be it for me.

    I can't decide when to test, I usually start POAS at like.. 8DPO. I want to try and hold out a few extra days.. like 10/11dpo.. but we will see. I have a massage booked on Tuesday ( 10dpo) and my masseuse won't give massages in the first tri. I can't decide if I should test before, or just leave it and test the next day.

    @MrsB2012: It is nice to hear you are having a chill month. I think that is good for our psyche. FX for you.

    So as I write this I am in my head on a count down to AF. I had a power outage today so the entire work day was thrown off and had lots of time to think. So far nothing. So FX she stays away. all tests BFN so far. But not out till she comes I guess.

    @bloomingflower: Good luck!

    My boobs are super super sore. Before last month I would have said that never happens to me but I had it last month too and BFN. I'm also so tired. I guess you're just more aware of your body and changes when you're TTC. I know you don't really get pregnancy symptoms until after implantation (and I'm not there yet) though.

    But I would be lying if I said it didn't give me a teeny bit of hope. Lol

  19. Litebrite

    @artsyfartsy: I'd be lying if I told you I didn't spend a chunk of time today googling about CM even though I'm only 4 dpo.
    We have to take any glimmer of hope we can get!

    @bloomingflower: FX!!

    @artsyfartsy: I think symptom spotting is the only way to pass the TWW!!

    I'm on CD6. Finishing Femara tomorrow. I need to rest up this weekend... Long week of BDing in my future! FX I O early!!

    I totally agree. I was just talking last night with my SO, and I am so aware of every little thing with my body. The past months of TTC has really had me saying, wow did I have ____ (fill in the blank) before and never thought about it or realized it.

    to all!!!

  26. MrsB2012

    nectarine / 2466 posts

    @Winnie13: I've gotten both my bfp's at 9DPO, so I could probably test. I just swore this time I would wait a few extra days ( they were squinters haha.) I just really want this massage, and I don't think it's a big deal to get a massage in early pregnancy. The day I got my bfp with my second daughter I had a massaged booked. When I got to the appt, I told her and she said she couldn't do it! I was so upset I cried in the car hahah. Everything I've read said it's fine to have one though. Maybe having a massage booked the day I test is good luck for me haha

    @bloomingflower: @artsyfartsy: I've become so in sync with my body now. Which has its pros and cons for sure, but it's hard talking with other women, especially mommies. Most people don't have a clue and look at you like your nuts! Like, "you wake up when to take your temp?" "You check your CM/CP?" Or the ultimate.... "There is no way I could do all that!" I know they all come from a good place, and I'm truly happy they never had to do any of this to get pregnant, but to someone who has been trying for long time, it can be hurtful and frustrating!

  28. artsyfartsy

    cantaloupe / 6692 posts

    @Winnie13: I know. My sister (who is newly pregnant) and I were talking about her friend who is just recently engaged and obviously has never TTC. She was telling her friend about her due date, and her friend was flabbergasted that she could know her due date without going to the doctor. My sister was trying to explain to her about calculating based on LMP and even that she pinpointed O and knew exactly when she conceived, etc.

    Her friend was blown away. She had no idea about any of this. It's crazy because I know every single little thing there is about TTC and cycles from start to finish. I kind of miss when I was TTC my first and I only had a little understanding of it and couldn't overanalyze. Lol

    Y'all, this is totally dumb and I shouldn't care, but all my friends are "lapping" me. I am genuinely suuuuuper excited for them, but remember how neat it felt to be one of the first to have a baby and have my friends come to me for advice and now they're so leaving me in the dust! Please tell me someone else has felt this way and has also felt incredibly guilty about it?

  32. Litebrite

    @babypugs: oh yea, thanks for reminding me! I haven't googled 5 dpo CM today yet.

    @babypugs: Gah, I know the feeling! It's especially painful when they are due after the due date of my pregnancy this summer which ended in mc. I mean, of course I'm happy for them, but it makes me a little sadder for myself.
    I think it's a natural feeling and nothing to feel guilty about

    This cycle is weird. My temps are as high right now as they were the last two cycles when I started temping during their luteal phases . I'm wondering if this is going to be another really short cycle like the first one off of bc. I never had irregular cycles add a teen and in my twenties before bc, and they were even regular after they came back after birth four years ago. Just waiting it out. Maybe my body is just fighting a bug. ..

    blogger / apricot / 389 posts

    @MrsB2012: so weird that she won't massage during early pregnancy!

    Still no temp rise here CD 26... I've NEVER had a cycle this long before... I usually am 29-34 days total. It's nutty. I ovulated on CD 23 with my CP, and that was long after travelling.

    Anyway I'm fairly certain today was my peak day, and hoping tomorrow I'll see a rise - but trying not to stress about it.
