Uhhhh. Looks like a nose job to me!

I think a lot of Asian people get some type of eye surgery, but I don't think it's any different than any type of other plastic surgery.. I think she was beautiful before and she's beautiful now. As long as she's happy..

I'm pretty sure that's just shading that she's done with her makeup to make it look thinner.

I could maybe believe she didn't get a nose job. Her face is angled differently, and there are makeup techniques to slim your nose. Plus, she is a LOT tanner in the 'after' picture, which can change how features look

I always figured she had the eyelid surgery but not a nose job. Looking at the picture, it doesn't look like it to me (just make-up and weight loss) my nose shape is similar and whenever I bloat or lose/gain weight, my nose changes!

It doesn't annoy me at all- lots of women and men get plastic surgery for lots of reasons!

@MamaJ: I really think it's a nose job. I know several people that have gotten nose jobs and it definitely looks like one. Especially around the tip and nostrils. The shape looks really different and you can't really shade that in with make up.

I was watching the Talk a couple of days ago and she addressed the plastic surgery. She said she hasn't had any work done other than her eyes. The nose is made to look thinner by her makeup artist. She even had a video showing the process of how her makeup is applied from beginning to end.

I also don't know how 'brave' I think it is that she has admitted it. In all honesty you'd be pretty hard pressed to find someone that didn't already assume she had if they saw those two pictures.

I don't see why she would lie about not having a nose job when she admitted to having her eyes done. Those pictures are from different years, she's tanned in one/pale in the other, there's a weight difference, and her make-up is done differently.

I think people are saying she's brave because she had surgery that changes an ethnic feature. I saw the segment and felt sad & upset for her that she had to deal with a jerky boss who basically said she wasn't going to be on the anchor desk because of her features and not being identifiable to the audience.

But it's what Hollywood is like. A lot of Asians get eyelid surgery. A lot of Black people get nose jobs. It just seems like a given if you're working in that world.

@mrbee: My theory (just my opinion!!) is that she didn't want to tell people about the nose job because it might make asians angry that she's trying to look "less asian". Her reason for her eyelid surgery was that her eyes made her look "disinterested, bored and sleepy". Could be true but it could also be that she wanted to look less asian and this is just an excuse. But if she admitted to the nose job...what reason could she come up with? In my culture (and other Asian cultures I'm sure), tons of people, especially women, get nose jobs and eyelid surgery to look less asian and more caucasian. Again, just my crazy theory so I hope I didn't offend anyone!!!

DH swears Halle Berry got rid her of too black nose. TBH I'd love a thinner, taller bridge.

@Mrsbells: Wait, that's not public knowledge? It seems so obvious to me. But then again what do I know. I thought Julie Chen had a nose job until I saw the sans-makeup pic!

@mrsjazz: wow!!! That pretty much convinces me about no nose job! Man. Makes me want to get better at my makeup!

Honestly I think it's more brave to go makeup free on tv than admit to plastic surgery, haha!

Eye surgery is really popular in Korea! Everyone gets it these days.
Not something I would do, but to each his/her own.
And you can do crazy things with makeup!

@mrsjazz: oh wow....makeup is amazing! Ok I need to learn more makeup techniques. I retract my comment about "total nose job". LOL

@chopsuey: my mom just visited Korea for the first time in 30 years. she said she can never move there for good because she doesn't want to undergo plastic surgery, but if you don't have it done, people assume you are poor. People actually commented on things about her face and asked if she was needy!!

I think people need to leave her alone. Eyelid surgery is crazy common (even for asians here in the states). I know more than ten people who have had it done. Even my 60 year old uncle got it done.
