@MrsMcD: I would just stick to the clomid this cycle and see how that works before adding other things to the mix! It would be awful to through your cycle off especially since your cycle is regular.

@AmeliaBedilia: If it's not yet AF, it might just be pre-AF spotting. It sucks. I had it for a couple of days this past cycle and then AF ended up being shorter. Your body could just be adjusting to less stress or something?

@organicmama: I hope your first day of work went well! So happy for you.

@MrsMcD: I would only change one thing at a time.
@AmeliaBedilia: It might still be some pre-AF spotting or a heavy implantation bleed. Does it feel like a full blown AF?
Well, I think I am FINALLY O-ing today, 4 days late. We will hopefully have good timing. We also tried Conceive Plus this cycle and really like it.
I am sorry for not participating more this month, I am just feeling depressed about TTC, and didn't want to come across whiny and a debbie downer.

@AmeliaBedilia: Maybe you O'd a lot earlier than normal from the acupuncture? I'm so sorry, you're not whiney - get it all off your chest!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@LindsayInNY: @Crystal: It really seems like AF. There is no way anything implanted could survive this. I'm out.
@Crystal: yea for O! It is ok to be whiny here- look at me.
@KelLeeLeee: Thanks!
I am feeling totally depressed, sitting on my couch in my robe, and decided to get my mind off all this. I started watching last night's Bachelorette The men tell all. In less than THIRTY SECONDS, they announce they are bringing back Ashley and her husband JP, and guess what? She's pregnant! And guess what? They're doing a live ultrasound on the show to find out the sex. REALLY? I feel like I cant do the TTC thing anymore, it's just too heartbreaking. Am I the only one who is trying to convince myself of all the benefits of not having kids? Sorry for being TOTALLY whiny but I am a mess.
nectarine / 2465 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I was SO angry watching last nights episode, haha, I kept yelling who cares!!! You're not the only one, yesterday I was glad I wasn't pregnant so that I could eat over easy eggs and smoked salmon

@AmeliaBedilia: hey, lady, I'm sorry to read your update. This must be so frustrating for you! I totally get the expectation/hope that you wouldn't need the new menstruation cup b/c you'd have gotten your BFP. I've had several of those ironies thru ttc. I'm thinking of you & hope you normalize quickly.

@KelLeeLeee: @GoGoSnoGirl: Thanks ladies!
Has anyone felt like giving up and just trying to be happy without kids?
bananas / 9229 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: To be honest, I feel like I'm still too early in my TTC journey to just "give up". So it's taking a little longer than I envisioned, it's still "early" though too!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@GoGoSnoGirl: Thanks for your thoughts! And I haven't even considered "fertility massage." But now I will! And how are you doing today?
@organicmama: I'm so glad to not be the only sacrificial lamb!
@KelLeeLeee: I think some insurances may cover some form of acupuncture. I have an HMO and I actually think it may be covered, but I'd have to go to an insurance approved acupuncturist. I am a little picky in this department and may just pay out of pocket. And that's the reason I've been putting it off. Its a tad expensive IMO. Also, its so out of my way, location-wise.
@ctegge0416: Thanks for your input. I was leaning that way, too.
@Crystal: Welcome to the TWW! I've missed you around here. Cheer up, friend!! Are you feeling better at least?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Oh my gosh, dear. You've said so much you are making my head spin! First off... hold it together.. you are way too young and early in this process to just "give up" and succumb to a child free life. What would "giving up" mean anyways? No more sex with your husband ever? That's just crazy talk.
So I watched the bachelorette last night also and thought and felt the same way about Ashley and the ultrasound! But mostly I was trying to figure out what kind of weird dress she was wearing that had a slit down the side of her stomach like that. So weird.
As for your LP... quit thinking about it! You didn't track your O, so you have no way to know anything about your LP. The only thing I suppose you can know is your cycle length. Was that an okay length? Even I once had a 21 day cycle (as opposed to normal 27-28 days), and it was just one time and NBD.
As for your job and planning for the future... just focus on today and be happy in the present. No need to plan for the future in this regard. I say keep trying! In the meantime, enjoy your hubby, your kyaks, your plans for getting a Tesla, your vacation. And shit, I bet your husband is hot. So go enjoy him!
I wish we could all meet up for a drink or two tonight. I need one already! My boss is majorly hyped up right now.

@Adira: yea... I saw that request to Mr. Bee, but yet her account still seems active. That's why I wasn't sure. I'd like to take her off our POAS list if she is no longer here. Too bad all around.
ETA: Thanks for popping in! I love to know who's lurking about.

@MrsMcD: I don't think Mr. Bee actually deletes accounts - he just shuts them down, so it will still be here, she just presumably can no longer use it. Not sure if that's accurate or not.
And yes! I'm a lurker and rooting for all you ladies!!!

@Adira: That's kind of silly though... she could just stop using her account if she wanted to. Why would we ask for the account to be shut down if it still totally exists? Anyhow... thanks so much for the support!!!

@MrsMcD: I wonder if maybe Mr. Bee just shuts it down for a certain period of time before deleting it entirely? I'm not sure how that works! But I agree - seems like you could just stop using it.

And HIIIIIIIIIIII! I miss all of you so much. Just back from vacation and catching up on work... and generally hating TTC. So yeah, I'm not a lot of fun to be around right now.

@MrsMcD: You are so wonderful and I really appreciate you! You make a lot of good points. A little perspective- I am 34, now cycle #17, and am not willing to do IUI or IVF. DH and I have good reasons why having only one is not a good idea (long story), there are good health reasons why twins should be avoided if at all possible, and it just doesn't seem two is possible. The only things we could do is an HSG, femara, or more acupuncture. TTC is making me a mess. I just can't deal with the disappointment.

@MrsMcD: I love your posts! Entertaining, informational, inspiring... AFM, I still have no idea what my body is doing... Teensy bit of spotting today, but that's it. Guess at this point I'll POAS EOD (so tomorrow) until I either get a BFP or AF. ?? This is my longest cycle yet (except for Jan before I tested anything & I really just lost track of my cycle length with the holidays & all). And in retrospect I wondered if that had been a CP. So, just waiting it out, trying to stay busier at work to keep my mind off it all a little.
pomegranate / 3595 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I am so sorry you are having such a hard time right now. Spotting sucks and so do wonky weird cycles. I would encourage you to be good to yourself today and not make any decisions when you are in such a low place. Even if you have decided not to go the iui/ivf route, there are still options. Remind me if you are seeing an OB or re? They are likely the best source of info on if the lack of progesterone influenced the shorter cycle. As far as the work trip implications, I didn't quite follow how that fits in, but I would suggest continuing to try or ntnp and let things fall where they may. A lot could be different by April, you know? Hugs anyway!!

Today I'm feeling sad about ttc. What if something is wrong!?! We can't afford $$$$ for ivf.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@MrsMcD: You always give the perfect advice. How are you? Hows the TWW treating you?
@AmeliaBedilia: I can understand those thoughts sometimes. I know I have had them (usually when AF makes an unwelcome appearance). You have had less stress, but you have likely also been more active than normal. Between that and changing so much of your routine could have caused a random crazy cycle.
@septca: Welcome back!
@Adira: Did something happen with her? I must have missed it. How are you?
I know I am broken record about why I am struggling. And I do realize so many people have it so much harder than I do, and I don't feel like I have a right to be sad, so I am trying to be mindful of that.
DH and I planned an outing to the beach for the EDD for the miscarriage. I am glad we have something planned to look forward to, and can do whatever feels right that day.
I called and made dr appts with my OBGYN and my regular dr for next steps, but apparently only my regular dr can recommend I see the RE. I've never met my regular dr, so I am going to meet with both and see what they say. I hope my dr recommends me without giving me a hard time. How far would you go under the care of a general dr?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Crystal: She posted a pretty controversial thread yesterday and got some bad feedback, so I think she was pretty turned off by the whole thing. And I'm doing well! Thank you for asking! Hope you see your BFP soon!!

@Crystal: hoping this is your month! Sounds like your timing is promising!
@MrsMcD: a drink would be so much fun! I hear you--I am going crazy with seven sessions today! I wish we were all closer. When does your clomid start? I am late to the party but agree you should only change one thing at a time.

Hi ladies! I'M Loving THE Thread today. And my phone decided to act crazy in that first sentence, so please don't mind the yelling.
@crystal: IMO I would get to a RE as quick as you can. Coming from the medical field, it's almost always best to go straight to the specialist. They just see our issues so much more and are much more well versed in fertility issues. I feel like you save time going this route.
@DC yoga bee: sorry you're sad today we certainly understand that feeling around here! But worrying or being upset won't make the outcome any different. So keep positive and be thankful that the timing will be PERFECT when you finally get that bfp. And just think of all the character you will build in the process!
I just had my 7dp+opk bloodwork. I'm attempting to not be that crazy patient that calls for results same day (I always get annoyed with those!) But it's hard!! I've decided I'm going to start testing on Saturday

@organicmama: I LOVE THE THREAD too.
@DCYogaBee: ((hugs)). I feel you, lady. POAS this morning and got so pumped because there was *totally* a line. And then my stupid cheap test settled enough to clearly see dye build up around a stark white test line.

So at the end of a crazy stressful work day, DH texts me to share a friend's labor progress. This is the 10th or 12th person we know giving birth this year.
And she was the person I was most excited to tell I was KU (until my MC started the weekend I was going to tell her)
I wish I could be excited for her...

@MaryM: sometimes DH's don't get it. I remember once when mine told me his best friend's gf's waters had broken and I snapped at him asking if I looked like I was f***ing interested in the state of another woman's cervix?! Haha
pomelo / 5129 posts
OMG. I nearly replied the same way!
Instead of saying our friend was in labor, told me how far apart her contractions were and how dilated she was. I'm sure he was just passing on what he heard from someone else...but I really don't care about all the details!
nectarine / 2192 posts
@MamaCate: Thanks!
@dc yoga bee: big hugs! Hoping nothing is wrong other than it's just not time yet. How long have you been trying?
@Crystal: Thanks. No need to feel badly about why you're sad. Yes, some people may have it worse, but some people have it easier. You have support here for however you're feeling- we get it! How far I would go with a general doctor depends on how comfortable they are with fertility stuff- there is a huge range. I haven't seen OB yet since my doc is pretty knowledgeable and will pretty much do what I want- we have done CD3 labs, SA, and progesterone. She is willing to do clomid (and therefore probably femara). If I wanted an HSG, I need to see an OB since she doesn't do that.
@MamaCate: I so wish we all were closer!
@organicmama: what is THE thread? Hope the labs come back quickly! I hope you get some easily fixable answers!
@septca: that is brutal!
I am doing a little better. I had to run an errand near the mall, so I walked around and got out of the house at least. When I sent DH the 5th angry text or so, this one about my new menstrual cup which was supposed to be here two weeks ago, and three weeks before this period was supposed to start (stupid USPS), he responded, "Hug! I understand you're frustrated. Is there anything I can do to help you through this?" I feel so angry and want to take it out on him, and that isn't fair. I told him I wasn't sure, other than we need to talk about what we're doing this cycle, and I need a long term plan- if I knew we would keep trying for x more cycles and then accept that we won't have kids if it doesn't work, I think that would be easier then feeling like I keep having to deal with the disappointment over and over and over.
pear / 1558 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: what a sweet & perfect response from your DH, though! Sometimes mine (wonderful though he is), just let's me go on & on. I just want to hear that he is concerned about how challenging this all is sometimes, too.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@MamaCate: Thanks, friend! FX for you too!
@organicmama: I just don't understand why they are making me see a dr I have never met to get the recommendation instead of my OBGYN I have been dealing with. I really hope he doesn't try to treat me and lets me see the specialist. Thanks for seconding the thought, I need to be a good advocate for myself.
Good luck this month!!!!
@dc yoga bee: I am right there with you, friend. Big hugs. Is there anything specific that set it off today?
@septca: BOOOOO to tests messing with your emotions. That happened to me with a cheapie recently, its the worst feeling ever. How many DPO are you?
@MaryM: Big, huge hugs. And no thanks to the details, lol. Especially not right now when you are struggling to be happy for her. Though I am not sure I ever want to talk in detail about the state of someone's cervix...
@AmeliaBedilia: My insurance wont cover an OB doing it either, its so weird. I have good coverage, but it looks like IF testing coverage sucks everywhere. Thank you for sharing your experience! How have you felt about their monitoring of your situation? Your DH sounds wonderfully supportive.

Had such a hard day today. Found out that a good friend is pregnant with #2....and is 9 weeks along.
I would be 9 weeks today....if it weren't for that pesky miscarriage 2 weeks ago. I felt bad telling her what had happened to me and how far along I'd be - but just didn't feel like covering it up at that point.
I was able to get outside to the parking lot before I completely broke down in my car and sobbed away.
I feel like being pregnant and having a sticky baby might as well be a million miles away.
Sorry - needed to vent to people who understand.
blogger / apricot / 427 posts
Also - recommendations on if I want to change OBGYNs. Should I find one and try to be seen before I get a BFP, or just wait until a later date once it's happened? I don't have any specific purpose to be seen for...just wanting to get settled with someone new, as I really wasn't a fan of the midwives I saw during my miscarriage, unfortunately.
