Good morning girls! I just scheduled my 7dp+opk bloodwork for tomorrow afternoon (per my RE's instruction). They usually call me soon after so I'm excited! Wondering if the bloodwork could tell anything that soon. But at least I'll know if the clomid is helping my estrogen and progesterone levels... And also if I for sure ovulated.
Today is my first work day away from the HELL HOLE that I worked in. I feel AMAZING knowing I don't have to go to that place anymore. Seriously a HUGE weight off my chest. Now I can focus on more important things like my family, my health, and my new job!! Hope y'all have a great Monday!

Hello Ladies! I have been gone for a while with my in-laws in town from DC and preparing for DH's brother's wedding. I will have to catch up later today. Hope everyone is doing well!
Update for my cycle: I am 2DPO we BD O-3, O-1, and O+1 and this morning just for good measure. I really wish we would have hit O but our work schedules did not permit. Hopefully that was enough. Let the TWW continue...

@organicmama: so happy for you.
Ok ladies- having definite spotting. CD21, likely 7DPO but have only temped once, no OPKs. Heavy enough I am wearing a panty liner. Started brown now red. have never had spotting like this before. So hoping for implantation but concerned it is low progesterone. I have taken progesterone for the past three cycles in a "why not?" Mentality. Did taking the progesterone make my body completely stop making progesterone? I get really irritable on progesterone an the thought was that the high stress I was under made me have borderline progesterone. Freakin out that it is freakishly early AF. Please help!

@AmeliaBedilia: hmmm.....I took progesterone after IUI and stopped and seemed my body made it again, I know many HB that had spotting and such before a BFP
Hold out and if no true AF in a few days test,
It is such a mind game.....praying for you!

@AmeliaBedilia: This past cycle I spotted brown and red for 4 or so days before AF started? I asked the RE about this this morning... She said it's not that uncommon and she hears it from a lot of patients. But all of my numbers and testing came back normal (progesterone, etc.) so it just might be my body's "thing." Have your progesterone levels been tested? It might honestly be nothing.

@simply_london: you have a great attitude! I moved you to the 23rd on the list. Keep us posted!
@organicmama: That's exciting about the blood work!!! Do you know how long you will have to wait for results? And do you have a little break in between your two jobs?
@ctegge0416: That's a great amount of BDing!
@AmeliaBedilia: i'm hoping out hope for you, too! And I did just once have a random super early AF. So either way I'm sure its nothing to worry about.
@LindsayInNY: You went to the RE today?!?!? Please share all the details!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MaryM: Hi, lady!!

Maybe now I can finally update where I am. Holy busy morning!!!
DH and I had a nice weekend away. It was PERFECT weather for tubing on the river, and we even won some money that night at the casino! Enough to pay for what we spent for the trip, so that was a great bonus.
AND, AF went away in time for us to be able to enjoy having a king sized bed for the night. Seriously...I'm totally dreaming of the day we have a big enough bedroom to get a bed so big we don't have to touch each other unless we want to!
I'm CD7. I'm still sort of miffed with my cycle being thrown off last month from being on meds. Now O hits during the week instead of conveniently on weekends like it used to. But Saturday should be O-3 and I know DH has that day off, and usually doesn't go in until late on Sunday, so hopefully we'll at least be able to hit those two days easily!

@MrsMcD: Haha, well... Had a hard time finding my left ovary because it was hiding behind some bowel obstruction. Pretty sh*tty, huh? (I'm hilarious, I know). I LOLed about it though. Otherwise uneventful! Starting Clomid tonight and going from there...
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@LindsayInNY: Oh my gosh! Was your doctor/nurse/whatever funny about the bowel obstruction??? That's truly a shitty situation! Bahahah. Well clomid! That's awesome. And you will do IUI right? Any trigger shots?
@MaryM: Your trip sounds amazing! Did you say where you went? Tubing down a river and winning at a casino sound like my kind of weekend activities! That's great you will be able to for sure hit O-3 this cycle. Do you see your husband at all when he's working nights? If my good times hits during my DH's work week, then we just meet up for a bit at 7 am to get business done.

@MrsMcD: We were in West Virginia on the Shenandoah. It was WAY slower than I imagined, but we were ok with that.
If I see DH really depends on his schedule. If he opens he'll be home by 9 or 10 and I'll wait up for him. If he works a mid he's home around midnight and I might wake up when he gets home. If he's closing, I might try to wake him up in the morning instead. Those shifts stink though.
I think his other day off is Tuesday, so hopefully that falls on O or O-1. But Tuesdays and Wednesdays are difficult even if he's off because they're the nights I'm in class until 10.

@MrsMcD: It was a new-to-me RE, a female, with a female nurse in the room too. It was taking awhile for her to find my left ovary and she had to press down on my lower abdomen area to try and help things. That was when she mentioned my bowel obstructing it. If I was being funny at that time, I should've been like "well, that's sh*tty!" but I didn't think of that, LOL. I am so lame! I did joke about how things haven't cooperated thus far so why should they now?! And then said that at least I have a sense of humor about it! Soo, starting Clomid tonight for 5 nights, going for follow up ultrasounds afterwards and when ready, doing a trigger shot before IUI. I think just one IUI (a friend always gets two back-to-back days) along with regular BDing? We'll see!!

@LindsayInNY: That's an awesome plan!!!! And a funny female doctor is as good as it gets in my book.

@MaryM: Yea, night shifts stink. But it seems like you work around it pretty well. Best of luck this cycle!!!

@LindsayInNY: I am so hopeful for you!
Spotting is down some, more brown. I feel like this is going to terrible (today is I believe 6DPO- didn't temp but almost always O on CD15, the 1 day I took my temp was CD16 and it was up) so terrible LP or implantation bleeding. Please, please, please let it be implantation bleeding! I have been less stressed/not working, assuming O is correct, we hit O-3, O-2, O-1, and O, used conceive plus O-2 through O, did acupuncture once and fixed the spleen meridian (one of the three main fertility ones), and I have been meditating more. This is one of the many reasons the TWW is so hard- it will end in fabulous joy or terrible heartbreak, and we have no control.

Thoughts on acupuncture please: If you were about to start clomid for the first time, would you also start acupuncture for the first time that same cycle?
I have a totally regular cycle, so I'm nervous to start anything that might knock my cycle out of whack.
bananas / 9229 posts
@MrsMcD: Nope. Too great of a risk of it messing with your cycle. I believe in only changing one thing at a time.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@LindsayInNY: Thanks. That's what I was thinking too.
And OMG... there's nearly a week gap between the current and the upcoming POASers.... Will I have to sacrifice myself and POAS early and often?
bananas / 9229 posts
@MrsMcD: I think you might have to be our sacrificial lamb Back to acupuncture, I wouldn't particularly given that youre not being monitored on Clomid. Who knows what it might do.

@organicmama: hcg makes the corpus luteum work harder tp produce more oesterogen and progesterone just like If you had conceived and yes the immature eggs were diagnosed by lowish oestrogen levels and the fact my corpus luteum wasn't making very good amounts of progesterone.

@AmeliaBedilia: The TWW is awful, I'm not looking forward to another one! Really hopeful for you!!

@MrsMcD: well, I did POAS again this a.m., which is 13dpo, but still BFN & no AF. So waiting & watching... Ugggh. I'm so impatient! I want a clear answer in either direction so I can get excited or on to scheduling our next steps already.
I've been curious about acupuncture as well, but haven't yet tried it. I do go to a massage therapist who does fertility massage, though, & she warned me last time I saw her (on CD1) that she probably got things flowing & not to be surprised if I bled more heavily that day/next. And was she right!! So, I'd guess acupuncture could well be even more "powerful".

@AmeliaBedilia: This past cycle I had spotting (sometimes heavy, definitely thought it was the beginning of AF) from 6DPO-10DPO. I tested on 10DPO when it suddenly stopped one morning, and it was a BFP. Unfortunately, I went on to miscarry...but there's definite hope it's IB for you!!
nectarine / 2192 posts
Bleeding seems to be less and mostly brown. I am still going crazy with this spotting and praying that it is implantation and doesn't turn into AF. Silver lining- I feel a little less crazy being able to vent to you ladies, and know you're sending good thoughts.
I was at Target today and a bunch of baby stuff was 50% off, some even 70% off. I love getting deals, so it was really hard not to buy the travel system for $56. I thought how nice it would be to have a cheap set for friends or family if they were watching LO. It was definitely girly, which made it easier to pass on. I sound so crazy!
@GoGoSnoGirl: It is so hard to be in limbo! Sometimes not knowing is harder than getting the answer you don't want. Hoping you still get your BFP and it's just too early.
pear / 1558 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: hoping for the best for you & here to say you don't sound crazy & we are all each other's cheerleaders, for sure!
I am really thankful for that, too... I have been feeling obsessive about TTC & I really don't like feeling this way. I only really have DH to vent to regularly about this with lots of friends already done having kids or childless by choice, so it's great to have you ladies to share with.

@lindsayinny: sounds like a success story in the works
@mrsmcd: I will join you in the sacrifice. Ain't no way I'm waiting til the 29th to test! More like the 26th that will be 11 or 12 dpo.
@ameliabedelia: good luck sister!!!

About acupuncture - this might have been asked already, but is it typically covered by insurance? I can't really figure out my health insurance website, but I did look up one acupuncture place and they say they accept some insurance plans..
In other news, I was told yesterday that I should get pregnant soon because I am running out of time. I'm 27. So that's cool...

@GoGoSnoGirl: haha I know! That's why I was so shocked someone would say that!

Bleeding is now bright red and heavier. Totally AF, except why is she here now, giving me what I believe is a 5 day LP? Anyone try off the progesterone and have a rebound cycle where LP was extra short? I don't get it, I am angry, frustrated, and devastated. To make matters worse:
1. I bought a new menstrual cup, and the silver lining this month was supposed to be using the new menstrual cup- still not here. Plus I figured buying it would make a BFP come- of course you buy something to make AF better and then you don't need it, right?
2. The timing sucks. I have a work conference for 4 days that I have been going to for 3 years, and trying to get elected to help run it for the past 2 years. I finally got it, and it is 4/29-5/2. I am out of town (without DH) 8/5-8/11. This meant we would miss the entire FW, which guaranteed that I wouldn't get a BFP next cycle. I was partially looking forward to a break from TTC, using my acne medication for the next 6 weeks, etc. I am sure some of you probably think I'm being a whiny baby, but given we are now in our 17th cycle (and I had charted for over a year before TTC with normal periods and no risk factors for IF), I feel like I have given up so much for TTC, not done so many things because I thought I would be pregnant, and this conference is really important to me, and the thought of giving it up just makes part of me die inside. Now I am probably O 8/4. Due date would be 4/27 "with elective delivery after 4/20." So what do we do now? Condoms? Abstinence? NTNP and risk missing the conference? Do I go back on progesterone? I am a mess!
ETA: conference is 4 days, and I can probably get direct flights each way (1 hour 45 minutes). I could have my mom come and watch baby while I am in the conference, and they are pretty family friendly (though they might think I was crazy for trying to come 1 week PP).

@AmeliaBedilia: Trying to follow your post... Did you confirm O to know that your LP was only 5 days? Did you do anything else new or different this cycle - acupuncture, supplements, etc.? How many days as a whole was your cycle?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@LindsayInNY: Sorry for my frustrated ramblings. I did acupuncture on CD4. My spleen meridian, one of the three that is most important in fertility was off, and she was able to confirm that is now fixed. I always O on CD15. EWCM seemed to confirm (though difficult with conceive plus and frequent BD- I struggle telling CM from semen). I took my temp once on CD16, and it was high (I realize not very helpful). I have had an intermitent tinge of very mild dark brown discharge intermittently starting CD18. Yesterday (CD21) it was more and intermittently pink and other times brown. It seemed to decrease last evening, but now heavier and red, seeming like AF. I started a probiotic last cycle, but no new supplements this cycle. The other big thing is I am not working right now so the stress level is lower (though still some stress with tying up some loose ends with old job and lots of stuff with starting new job).
bananas / 9229 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: You've only done acupuncture that one day? Is AF fully there or is it still just moderate spotting?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@LindsayInNY: Acupuncture that one day only. Bleeding seems a little less than full-blown AF, but seems way too heavy for implantation bleeding. Thanks for caring, listening, and trying to help. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!!!!
cherry / 159 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I am so sorry you are having all this crazy spotting!!! That is extremely frustrating! I hope that everything settles down and hopefully it is implantation.
