@mrs. 64: how rude!! With DD people started asking how far along I was and I replied "12 weeks" and they said "oh wow you're so big!" Thanks

It sounds like a lot of you ladies have movement on doctors and testing - yay! Feeling really gross today... I think that my runny nose has somehow affected my tummy and made it all upset. Doesn't bode well for any possible embies, does it?

Morning everyone! So FF had predicted O for Saturday, which was pretty consistent with the previous couple of months. But I decided to take an opk this morning anyway and it was positive! Of course our EOD the last few days has not been as good as we hoped--crazy stuff with work, awesome timing-- and we were going to make up for lost time this weekend. Now I"m worried we didn't get in any good BD'ing this month. Grr!

@HazelEyes: If you just got a positive OPK, you still have plenty of time to get busy!

@T.H.O.U.: I hope so! We'll have to squeeze in some time tonight somehow. at least no temp jump yet, so maybe we'll get in at least today and tmw

Ok ladies, AF is officially out of here, so I am going to start my OPKs soon. My cycles are REALLY crazy so I'm hoping I catch it and can time some BD. I have had 22 day cycles but then after our m/c my last cycle was 40 days. I'm hoping to settle back into something more normal around 28 but at least with OPKs and CM tracking I may know whats going on.

@HazelEyes: Thanks! I really hope I can start some kind of plan of action today.

@T.H.O.U.: I was in the same boat. The month after my MC I stopped and started bleeding about 3 times over a month and a half. I guess it was a combination of MC bleeding and my body trying to regulate after MC. But since March I am back to 26/27 day cycles. You'll get there GL!

@AuntieEm: ok, you are scaring me a bit. I know this cycle is going to be wonky, but yuck.

    @T.H.O.U.: I'm excited for you

@SweetMamaM: I'm sorry you're not feeling well. But I think any potential babies will be just fine. When do you test?

@pui: I hope so! Let is know how it goes.

@T.H.O.U.: I've had pretty wonky cycles since af returned after P... they seems to be having "some kind of" normalcy now so hopefully yours will level out this cycle!

@pui: Hope your appt goes well!!!!

@doxielove I think I want to change my poas date... I'm currently 1 DPO per my OPK & FF so my af date was changed to the 20th, making the 19th my 14 dpo. I don't think I can wait till the 22nd!

Go ahead and change me to the 19th please! *eek*

@T.H.O.U.: right after my m/c in march I had a 43 day cycle and now I'm back to my normal cycles so give it time it will be back on track

I'm out! I'm actually not too upset because this is only my second month off BC. My first cycle off was only 19 days and this one was 27 so I'm regulating

  14. luckypenny

    grapefruit / 4582 posts

@HazelEyes: there's still plenty of time!
@T.H.O.U.: AF just left today too! I have 29/30 day cycles. When are you starting OPKs?

@runsyellowlites: Yea! The 19th will be here before you know it! Is G out of school yet? That will make time really fly!

@luckypenny: I think I am going to go ahead and start OPK tomorrow. Its probably way too soon but since I have no idea how long this cycle might be I don't want to miss it. If its still stark white tomorrow I may skip a day are two until I get closer to the middle of my cycle.

    wonderful clementine / 24134 posts

@Honeygold89: Sorry about your m/c but its good to hear things got back to normal. I can live with it being a month or two to regulate but I was scared I was going to have a hard time TTC if my cycles were going to be long forever.

@T.H.O.U.: We homeschool so he's always in & out of school.... and it kinda makes the days drag (somtimes). lol I'm super nervous this time, which I wasn't last time. Idk, I think the more I learned in the ttc realm just made it more "real" as opposed to "Oh lets have a baby & bam have a baby".

    Hey everyone.

So my appointment went fine. I do not have PCOS. Nope, instead I have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). The doctor prescribed me some hormone I am apparently not getting naturally from my thyroid in a medium dosage. In 2 months I need to get another blood test done to see if I need a higher/lower dosage.

I'm happy to be treating this... but I'm still feeling kind of sorry for myself that I have this problem at all. I am worried it is still going to be months and months and months before I actually end up pregnant.

Thanks everyone for all your support and well wishes. For now I am standing on the sidelines until my period comes back...

@luckypenny: @T.H.O.U.: I have 30-35 day cycles & started on CD 11... I wanted to start on CD 10 but forgot to make it to the store.

@pui: I have no thyroid!! As long as you can get the right meds dosage to get your hormones back in line it really shouldn't be an issue!

Thanks I was only 7 weeks so I guess it didn't take my body to long to get back on track plus I always have been regular but it's going to happen for us all soon enough we just starting trying again this cycle

@pui: I'm glad they were able to find the problem so soon. That just means the end is near and you're getting super close to your BFP!!! *hugs* the end of 50+ cycle days are almost over.

@pui: I'm glad you got a diagnosis. I hope starting the meds makes you feel better AND help get you KU very soon!

@pui: So glad you got some answers. I actually know a few people that have that (I guess its fairly common, who knew?!) and have had success in TTC. I hope this gives you at least some peace of mind.

@pui: I agree with @apex; you are now one step closer to your BFP, even if this feels like an obstacle! I've got my FX for you that in no time you'll be KU

@Boopers: Ah darn, sorry to hear about AF!

@T.H.O.U.: Hopefully your cycles go back to "normal" soon! Sorry if you mentioned this before, but what day were you planning on starting opk's?

@HazelEyes: If you just got a +, I'd say it's time to get busy, girl! I understand your frustration though - even though ik it only takes once, I always get bummed out if my timing isn't just right. I feel like I "failed."

@pui: Wooo!! Yay for a solution! And don't feel sorry for yourself AT ALL! Tons and tons of people have thyroid issues - overactive, underactive, etc. It's not all that uncommon! And usually adding in some medication leads to some weight loss - just an added plus that we all love FX for AF to come soon!!

@LovelyPlum: not sure, I had some longer LPs before my cycles went crazy. I waited for AF last time, but we have a party to go to on the 15th so I might test then. I'm like phobic of another stark white test!

@runsyellowlites: I bought a pack of 5 OPKs. With a 30 day cycle should I start the 10th or 11th? Should I buy more you think?

  36. runsyellowlites

    coconut / 8305 posts

@luckypenny: I used an ovulation calculator that told me with a 31 day cycle I should O day 18 (My FF average gave me 28 days & 31 days so I checked both & so happened to followed the 28 day cycle this time). I think I would start testing on CD 10 and then get more if you need

@pui: checking in on you! I'm glad to see that it is a treatable issue! I have Graves Disease which is a form of hyperthyroidism and when it was untreated, I didn't have my period for 6 months. Once I got on the proper medication, I had normal cycles. This was about a month into treatment so there is hope!!! You will also feel much better physically a couple weeks in.
