@MrsMcD: re: MIL, I think it depends on your relationship. I tell my MIL all about our TTC business, partially because I like her and partially because it makes her STFU about how she "planned her kids down to the minute..." Speaking of ragey. But, you know, free OPKs? This stuff gets expensive.

@MrsMcD: Amazing how close FML and MIL are together, isn't it? Not a coincidence in my case... lol
I don't know if I would accept them, but only because I don't want to open the door for that type of conversation with my MIL.
@Snowdrop: Mine has been dropping on Day 12. I am wondering if the CL is wrong... if its supposed to be higher than the last 6 temps pre-O, this one would be right on track for AF starting Thursday. I know there is nothing to do but wait it out, but that paired with BFNs isn't giving me much hope.

@HeartAbandoned: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
@MrsMcD: Sorry you are out. Just a case of the Tuesday AF womp womp womp. We will get there. I threw on a pretty dress, some pumps (1in who am I kidding?) And called it a day. Do something for you today. I don't like my mil so no advice there.

@MrsMccarthy: @septca: I'm not THAT close to her. She isn't the warmest person. I'm a very huggy person and when someone isn't huggy I tend to get offended so maybe its all my own fault. But I do know she meant well.
@Crystal: I'm thinking of having DH pick up the stuff from MIL. Or she might come by our house tomorrow to get her mother's day gift. (umm...that's DH's issue). So at least he will be a buffer. I wanted to tell her to put the goods in a paper bag and leave it on my door step. But first I wanted to ask "well what kind of OPKs" but then I didn't want to sound like a snobby bitch.

@dc yoga bee: What are you going to do in your party dress and kitten heels? Party somewhere? Fancy dinner?
And FYI: CD3 blood work on Thursday. Womp womp. I hate needles.

@Crystal: here is my BFP chart with my son. Low coverline and low temps. I also believe he implanted at 11DPO so 12 dpo may have been too early.

@MrsMcD: LOL, I love it. Put in a paper bag, then leave it on the porch. Very covert operation.
And I am becoming so snobby about OPKs and HPTs.

I feel like ultrasounds of this nature shouldn't happen without giving full results! I saw the tech note and measure 3 finds.y feelin is that these are uterine fibroids, my hope is that they are all three small and hopefully not in my uterus or if the one that was found in my uterus with my son is still present I hope that it has not grown at all since it didn't seem to hurt my pregnancy with him. God this is all so stressful and I feel so fucking terrible with this sickness in my body.

@MrsMcD: sorry you're out, me too.
Loved your comment about your MIL. Too funny! Mine probably doesn't know enough about our struggles. Infertility came up as a general discussion a whole back and she honestly said "no one in our family has THAT problem !" That's made it really hard for us to bring it up with her!
@Crystal: that doesn't look like a temp drop to me! I think you're still in the running

@HeartAbandoned: OMG, congrats! Did you do anything different this month? What was your timing? What # cycle was this for you? Please give the rest of us some hope!

@MrsMcD: Hug! So sorry to hear.
Today is CD2 or 3. It seems like we have an entire AF club here. I am calling it 3 so that it matches the day of the month and I don't get confused like last month. Do you know how many times I mis-scheduled because I was thinking it was May 8, when it was really CD8? It is terrible to be off 1 day. #TTC problems.

@mrsmcd: sorry about AF @Ameliabedilia is right. AF Club up in here. Making matters worse is it seems like the Worst. Period. Ever.
So I'm having CD 3 blood work in the a.m. Not even sure what they're testing for... anyone know and can explain your experience with it?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@organicmama: typically FSH and LH- if FSH is high, it can be a sign that your egg supply is decreased. They also checked my insulin level and thyroid.

@MrsMcD: I guess I was just saying what my ragey thoughts to her would be if I were you. I think she's stepping over the boundaries a bit, as it's her son and you who are trying for a baby, so it's super awkward for her to be involved, but I would probably just accept it and say thanks and hope that doesn't invite more crap from her.

Hello Ladies! Is it ok if I join? I really just want to get acquainted and support you all this month and hopefully get support next month when we can try again.
CD: Unsure
Cycle #: 6
TTC #: 1
POAS date: Unsure
Backstory: I had a missed m/c and D&C 5/5. I am waiting on my first AF to arrive, hopefully in the next week or two, so I can start tracking my ovulation again and start TTC again.
June TTC plan/something new you want to try: Waiting for AF then I think I will try OPKs and temping.
Best thing about your weekend: BBQing with the In-laws while they were in town!

@AmeliaBedilia: This was cycle #6, but month #8. It was my second round of Clomid for anovulatory PCOS. So, the difference for was that I actually ovulated (I did last month on round 1 of Clomid, but it didn't work then). I also think the difference in my stress level during the first week post-O helped. I know lots of women conceive under extremely stressful circumstances, but last month, the week after O was maybe the most stressful of my life, and this month, I was at the beach So, my recommendation is for everyone to take a post-O vacation, all in the name of baby making!
I also took Mucinex CD 10-20 to help with CM, at the recommendation of my doctor.
Thank you all so much for your support. You really are the best! I bought a FRER on the way home from work last night, so I've included another picture This is really real!
I'm still a little scared - and probably will be for the next 9 months, but today, I'm thrilled. I can't wait to see who else joins me as a Feb/March mama! xoxo

@organicmama: I wasn’t born on Friday the 13th, but I was born on the 13th (of Nov) and I too consider the number 13 lucky!! I also agree about God’s timing. (Even though it’s beyond frustrating!!) My mom says to me “all you babies birthdays are meant to be and we can’t change them”. I try to believe that. I try… and thank you!
@sapphire: Thank you. Every time I see 11.11 anywhere I make a wish. And you’re right, if this isn’t our month then it’s not meant to be right now…for whatever reason that may be. Maybe next month or even a couple months from now. *Patience*
@septca: Thank you. My sister is doing well.
@heartabandoned: Congrats!!
@crystal: I’m sorry about the dip…I’m in the same boat as you. ((hug))
@Mrsmccarthy: I hope you feel better!! GL with the results!!
@mrsmcd: ty and I’m sorry the bitch showed up! It also doesn’t make it easier that everyone knows your ttc. It’s too much pressure. And it will happen! I also hate needles!!!
I am 28-years-old (will be 29 in November). I grew up on Long Island, NY and have been here ever since.
I decided I’m not testing today. No AF yet, but my temp dropped even more today…so I’m sure she will be making her effing arrival right on time as today she is due. It sucks because I know it’s coming and the only symptom I have right now is my boobs are killing me...but that’s typical for me. But it won’t hit me until she’s officially here and that’s when I usually break down. Ugh…sucky.
I had my follow-up MD appt today to discuss my results of my blood work and the ultrasound and HyCoSy. Everything came back okay…the only thing was my prolactin levels are elevated. Not tremendous, but they are elevated. Does anyone else have this?? I researched it a little bit and I just don’t know…*feeling overwhelmed*. My MD said she doesn’t want to “throw clomid” at me yet. She referred me to see a RE. I just wish I didn’t have to go down that road…I’m so bummed about everything. My husband’s follow-up with the urologist is Friday and I plan to go with him because I want to hear EVERYTHING. He has the varicocele and his motility is on the “lower side”. I am considering acupuncture for my husband and myself. Has anyone tried it for fertility?
Thank you all for the love and support. I am so glad I found you ladies.
nectarine / 2173 posts
@nicolechris11212: Sorry about AF - mine started that way this month too, with two days of lowered temps before AF actually arrived, which was a bit annoying.
I'm glad you had your doctor's appointment, and don't be worried about seeing the RE! I found our visit with the RE to be really encouraging and gave us a game plan if we don't get a BFP by 1 year. It doesn't mean you have to have any kind of treatment at this point if you don't want (none was offered to us at this point). As for the varicocele, good luck at the urologists! Most urologists don't recommend reversing it because the data on it actually improving fertility is low...better success with IVF + ICSI **if** needed. Although varicocele is a common cause of male infertility, *most* that have a varicocele actually don't have fertility issues!

@sapphire: Thank you. I was really expecting her arrival yesterday as my temp was way low and then it was even lower this AM. At this point, I need it to just come and over with so I can start again this cycle! Maybe this will be my lucky #7 cycle! fx!
And okay good…thanks. That makes me feel better about the RE and about DH's varicocele.
cherry / 230 posts
Just had my cd 3 blood work. Man, they take A LOT. I'm still curious about this blood work. What can the RE do based on your results? I know it's a broad question and depends on the person, but if anyone has stories or experience with this, please share!!

@dc yoga bee: I hope you had fun working in your party dress! That would make me feel better.
@Crystal: I love covert operations. And sadly... I was snobby about opks from the start.
@MrsMccarthy: I think all TTC testing should come with full, immediate results. I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well... that's definitely no fun and even harder with a LO to care for.
@sapphire: Sorry you are out, too! But I'm glad to be rolling over with someone familiar.
@AmeliaBedilia: Thanks for the hugs. And thanks for asking great questions!
@mrs. tictactoe: Oh for sure.... its awkward all around. In general, I don't like talking about TTC with people because it inherently and implicitly involves me and DH having sex. Can you even discuss TTC with anyone without thinking about the involved people having sex? Its so awkward....
@ctegge0416: Hi friend. Happy and sad to see you on this thread. I hope your stay here is short!
@HeartAbandoned: I'm still so very happy for you. Can you please remind me again: was your use of clomid "monitored" or not; did you do IUI or TI; and what CD was O? And yes, that FRER is so very dark!! Congrats again!
@nicolechris11212: Wow! That's all a lot of info. I'm glad your ultrasound and HyCoSy results are good. I hope the prolactin issue can get cleared up soon. I just googled it for a hot second and I think it seems like possibly an easy fix! But hopefully AF doesn't show and you won't even need to worry about it. As for your husband's doctor's appointment, I agree you should go. I totally love and trust my husband, but he doesn't ask all the good questions. Oh, boys.

Our perfect friends are having twins! Yay, annnnnd I felt a pang of jealousy.
clementine / 933 posts
@MrsMcD: This Clomid cycle was unmonitored, and we used TI. O was either on CD15 or 16 (FF says 16, HB says 15!). Assuming O was CD15, we hit O-3, O-1, & O+1. The first super faint on the blue dye test was at 10DPO (following a too-faint-to-photograph wondfo). Today is 13DPO, and when I took the FRER. And thank you!
I hope you join the graduate list very soon! GL on your testing tomorrow!
@ctegge0416: I'm sorry you have to be here, but you've found the best board on HB! Maybe I'm a little biased, but these ladies are really wonderful. I hope your stay here is short & sweet!
@nicolechris11212: I hope you're able to start fresh sooner rather than later. GL!
@dc yoga bee: I hate the twinge of jealousy, but I can't help it. Even yesterday, after seeing my own BFP, I saw a pregnancy announcement on FB and felt it! I think the stab of disappointment in seeing so many announcements while waiting on my own + has just become an automatic response. I hope your is soon!
@organicmama: I don't have anything helpful to say, but GL, and please share your results (if you're comfortable doing so) when you get them. I'm sure yours are common questions for that blood work.
Again, I you ladies so much!
cherry / 230 posts
@mrsmcd: Don't worry! It feels exactly the same no matter how many viles they take Just don't look over at what they're doing... lest you end up on the floor and have to start over! LOL! I'm only laughing because I literally would be close to passing out at the thought of needles... But being pregnant with my son quickly changed that. Seems like you're always getting poked and prodded with something... And then there was the dreaded emergency c-section... Dun dun DUNNNNN! So all that to say, I think I'm a pro now. But sister, YOU GOT THIS!!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@HeartAbandoned: Thank you so much for all of that info. You are a doll.
@organicmama: Thanks so much lady! At some point in my 20s I put on my big girl pants and stopped taking my mom with me anytime I had to have blood drawn. But whenever I'm getting blood drawn, part of me thinks "but I'm just a little girl and this hurts!" I'm such a baby sometimes.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@ctegge0416: oh gosh I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you get a normal cycle ASAP so you can get to your rainbow baby. We are here for you every step of the way. This is a great group.
@HeartAbandoned: beautiful dark FRER lines! Once again wishing you a sticky and happy pregnancy!
@nicolechris11212: thanks honey. I'm sorry you are feeling so nervous. I have never been to an RE but I've heard they are amazing! So much more knowledgable and unlike an OB/GYN it's their job to get you KU. That said no one enjoys having to take it to that level so I do understand. I hope you are pregnant really really soon! Xo
@MrsMcD: I know right?! I hope you are doing okay over there on CD2. When do you start getting poked and prodded? Is that this cycle?
@organicmama: I had CD3 bloodwork done and I think it took about a week to get results. They basically want to check your hormones and egg reserve. I had FSH, E2, and AMH done. If you didn't have AMH too I highly recommend it as its said to be a better indicator than FSH which fluctuates month to month. E2 can also tell you a lot about your egg reserve. I think they do it more as a way to rule that out. Women with low egg reserve tale longer to get pregnant. There can be so many variables though. My FSH was 7 and E2 was normal but my AMH was .5 which is not great. It concerns me but I was also lucky enough to get pregnant very easily with that and fibroids the first time so it's not necessarily the end of the line.
I'm feeling super depressed and I'm wondering if fully weaning is also causing it. I don't feel sad at all really about not nursing my son anymore so it's gotta be more hormonal than situational. I'm still fighting this sinus thing, have a birthday looming and just know they found 3 things on my stupid ultrasound so that's not helping any. I only had two fibroids last time so I don't like seeing three finds. Better to have answers but waiting until Fridat is killing me! It's like a new version of the TWW which technically I am in right now but there's no chance of anything. It sucks but I guess in some ways it's a relief too. I am so sick f feeling so sad. I hope things perk up again soon.

Temp dropped again. Starting to get regular AF symptoms, so I'm likely out.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@MrsMccarthy: I'm doing great on CD2, I suppose. I'm looking forward to having a springtime 2015 baby! As for you, I am so very sorry you aren't feeling your best. Fibroids are no joke. I hope you don't have to deal with too large of an issue.
@Crystal: I'm so sorry about your temp drop. That's just no fun at all to see.

The bitch aunt showed up. First time I didn't cry after seeing it. My little sister had jaw surgery and is in the hospital so I'm preoccupied with her. So maybe it's okay bc it's taking my mind off of it. But I'm out. Maybe a March baby!
@heartabandoned: thank you. Fresh start! Today is CD 1! Gotta start somewhere.

Sorry for not responding to other things earlier, I was having a bitter/selfish moment.
@MrsMccarthy: Why will it take so long to get the results back? Sorry for my ignorance on the issue.
@MrsMcD: FX for you tomorrow!!!!
@HeartAbandoned: Congrats, honey!!! You so deserve this!!!!
@organicmama: Its amazing how you can get used to needles, lol. I used to *HATE* them, but after getting pricked almost daily for a month, I'm over it.
@dc yoga bee: I'm so sorry. Jealousy is a bitch.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Crystal: I'm feeling a bit bitter/selfish/weepy today for some reason. Maybe because work just overwhlemed me and I hate being too busy at work. It gets in the way of all the other fun or useless stuff I want to be doing during the workday.
