My silver linings:
I won't have morning sickness my entire summer vacation.
I won't start my new job 15 weeks pregnant.
Easier to increase my running.
No childcare worries- DH and I can do what we want.
All my clothes fit.
I get to use my acne medication (only until I ovulate- but still!)
More time DH and I can enjoy together- he just moved back 2 months ago and opened a business, so he should be a little more available down the road if baby comes.
More time to get the house organized.
@septca: Your job plan sounds similar to mine. I am currently in a high-stress, long hours, inflexible, no benefits, negative environment (it wasn't this when I started) with great pay. I have less than 2 weeks left. New job pays a lot less, but good people, fewer hours (4 day workweek!), flexible, and benefits (including STD that covers maternity leave at 60%).

@intotheocean: I hope that's implantation! In my case I am not havin any enforcement pain at all because I was only nursing once a day for like five or ten minutes at the end. My whole weaning process was very gradual and that helped. I hope it will mean that I stop lactating and my hormones even put more quickly. I know any expression or nipple stimulation can make things stick around so I am trying to avoid that at all costs. No leaking which is good.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm SO excited for Thailand, but I still hope I don't have to wait that long to get KU We're going to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Ko Lanta. Would love to go to Cambodia as well but can't take that much vacation time. But I always try to remind myself when my trip is shorter than I'd like, that we can always go back and explore more in the future.
In less happy news today, one of my co-workers announced pregnancy today...they had been very vocal about TTC and had only been trying for a couple months and only got married this fall. I'm happy for them, but once again, it stings when you've been married longer, trying longer...

@sapphire: oh! Yes of of course I hope it happens sooner and I believe it will. It's a wonderful place to be. Ko Lanta was on our short list of island resorts but we chose a place in Koh Kut instead. God I loved it! I've never felt more at peace. I would lie to see Chang Mai as well. We didn't have time for that but my husband saw it when he was there on his own and I have a Thai friend here in Portland who grew up near there. Sorry about the friend. I hope the sting ends soon because you have a pregnancy to announce too!

Aunt Flo you f-ing bitch! You CANNOT come another time this month! I'm supposed to be ovulating and instead I'm spotting, craning, and its getting worse as the day goes on.
In turn, I've become a bitch. Everything is making me go off because I'm so FRUSTRATED.
And next month I'm going to stop taking red clover.

@MrsMcD: @MrsMccarthy: @dc yoga bee: I think AF is on it's way.
The last few cycles I've been spotting on 13DPO with full blown AF the next day. I'm 14DPO today and have spotting that comes and goes. I took a test just in case, but nada. I'm starting to get cramps, so I'm just waiting for it to start. Looks like I'll be joining the AF club!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@intotheocean: what's red clover for? I'm not familiar. Some women spot at ovulation and its normal and can even be a good sign. I hope that's what's happening for you. I'm so sorry doll.

@MrsMccarthy: how is it going! I'm so sorry about all the hormones and feelings.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@Crystal: hahah that's a funny comment. Damn feelings! I am feeling much better thank you so much for asking. I am 8 DPO today IF I ovulated at all and don't have one drop of spotting yet which makes me happy. I do not think I'm pregnant and I absolutely will not test until Sunday the earliest but I would be so excited to get a decent luteal phase. I do also wonder if I ovulated at all this cycle though so if I did not i could have one of those long limbo cycles and that I would not be thrilled about especially because it would pretty much make the LP length victory meaningless. So that's my biggest prayer for this month really. That I ovulated and have a luteal phase of at least 10 days without spotting. How are you doing today my dear?

@MrsMccarthy: the comment was typed with love!
AF is here with a vengeance. Awful cramps, which I don't normally get. I am on an 8 hr flight tomorrow and really dreading dealing with this!

@Crystal: oh I know. I didn't mean funny in a negative way. I meant it sounds funny HA HA. Sorry you have emotions and hormones. I wish internees could give vocal inflections.

@Crystal: aww I'm so sorry about evil AF. You should kill that butch with wine and chocolate. I hope this will be your last cycle before BFP.

@MrsMccarthy: my spotting is getting more frequent and I'm getting cramping. It's not looking positive. I got one positive test and then I started spotting. Now the ovulation tests are negative. So I'm just waiting...

@MrsMccarthy: thanks. I'm ok today. I think one of the best things about temping is I have a warning it's coming, then I can be bitter and upset and get it out of my system. Once it arrives, I'm ready to look forward!
So, if we get KU this cycle, then I'll be due in March (Friday the 13th!), and find out on 4th of July!

@intotheocean: I'm so sorry honey. I hope this is just a wonky cycle before your BFP!

@intotheocean: I'm sorry. I hate when my cycles are messy.
Speaking of, not sure what to make of this cycle. CD11, pink EWCM. Maybe I will be O'ing early... Better whip out the OPKs.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@septca: early O can be a good thing (so long as its not too too early!) FX for you this cycle! This is your better tube cycle right?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMccarthy: Oh yeah. This is a kitchen sink cycle and my mantra is "I *will* get KU this month."

@septca: YOU WILL!!! And we will miss you but we will be so happy to see you be done with this TTC drudge.

@Crystal: Sorry about AF, friend. Apparently we have a full on AF Club in this group this month. Ugh.
@intotheocean: The emotion in your comment made me laugh so hard last night! I totally feel that same way right now.

Two stories for you guys, because it's Friday and I am procrastinating what I need to be doing.
(1) Remember my friend who had the terrible, 3+ year IF struggle and whose husband had junk surgery to make it better? She's totally KU with #2. BD like once in the last month - thought she was still waiting to get AF after she weaned... Surprise!!
(2) I work in a cube farm right now (*yay*) and it's really quiet today so I can hear everything... there's a woman around my age who just got engaged that sits a few cubes over. She's been pretty twitchy when people in the office bring up kids, and today I overheard her on the phone and she said, "Well, with my one remaining fallopian tube..." and then she started crying. OMG, you guys, I want to go give her a huge hug and buy her a cookie. I don't know her at all, so instead I am sitting at my desk, feeling sad because she might not have anyone awesome like you guys to cry to and vent to and drip sarcasm all over everything with...

@septca: Story #2 just made me so sad. Thanks, friend!!!!!!!!! But seriously... poor girl. You should bring her a cookie or something today.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMcD: I know. No one should have to go through this alone. And, I mean, maybe she's not. It just makes me sad.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@septca: oh no! I love the drop a cookie at her desk idea! I love hearing stories like number 1.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@septca: SO happy for #1 and oh my gosh! Poor little thing. For #2Maybe you could sneak her an anonymous surprise or treat? I hope she has a belly full of baby soon.
I hope we all do!

Okay, okay. Didn't mean to bring you all down.
So more good news: I totally found a house. It's perfect. Seriously. I want to fill it with a million babies, Brangelina-style.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@septca: That is exciting!! Please privately wall it to me if you don't mind sharing.
I love looking for dream homes. DH and I live in a tiny but perfect condo. Our mortgage is small and about to get even smaller. I'm always want a more party-hosting appropriate house, but I plan to stay in the condo through (hopefully) two maternity leaves.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@MrsMcD: Ha ha. Our mortgage is about to get a lot bigger... I have *loved* living in our city house, but with kids it just doesn't make as much sense anymore - I no longer need to be stumbling distance from the hottest bars and I really want a yard. It's bittersweet, but it's time.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@septca: A yard is a nice thing to have! I'm in a condo in a suburb, but I am longing for a house with a nice driveway and mature, well trimmed trees in the front yard!!!!!!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@septca: and some strip malls! They're missing from your life congrats on finding a house!! I want to hear all about it (if you don't mind sharing of course).
clementine / 933 posts
@septca: I agree with the others - it would be really sweet to bring her a cookie or reach out to her. And what GREAT news on the house! Good luck with all the steps that come next in buying a home! How exciting!
honeydew / 7295 posts
Well I am a bit bummed to say that i have some light spotting over here. It's 8DPO. I am glad i will get to move on and hopefully full weaning will mean a longer LP or better yet BFP for me. I didn't expect to be pregnant so I am not so worried about that part. Just really hoping this is a nursing issue and not something else.

@septca: congrats on finding a house! GL with it!!
Update: My DH went to the urologist today and I went with him to hear every ounce of information that I know I'd only get like 20% of if DH went alone…love him but that's the reality haha. He's not overly concerned with the varicocele and his motility is only 6% lower than the normal range! Not so bad! He said we can absolutely conceive naturally with his numbers and he's sending him for another SA. Good news!
I was so happy when we left. He recommended we BD EOD around O. This past cycle we BD'ed every day in the O week and I guess that was too much, lol. He told me not to use OPK's because they aren't always accurate and can cause more stress. And I think the OPK's do cause me more stress and make me hone in on every inkling of a thing my body does…but it gets to me and not in a good way. I promised DH that I will not use OPK's this month! (I hope I can do it! haha) But I will be temping and going to do more relaxing things…go for walks, get massages, drink some red wine with dinner, etc. So that's my story for the day!
