@AmeliaBedilia: Eeeeekkk! Tough decision. I don't ever test when DH is home. So that precludes 6/28. He's technically home a bit on Sunday, but he sleeps so I can avoid him that way. Maybe I can test on 7/1 when I'm out of town so that I can weep and sulk in court and on the flight home. That makes for a lovely productive day! What factors do you consider when determining when to test?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@MrsMcD: I only test when DH is around, and ideally when I don't have anything later that day that will be rough if I get a BFN. (Hope that makes sense.) Since I'm not working, it is mainly DH's schedule. He works all day Sunday, so I might test Saturday instead.

@MrsMcD: thank you sweet friend. I know you are right. What will be will be and aside from tightening our buckle there isn't much I can do. I'll cross that bridge if it comes. My husband lost his job when I was 4 months pregnant in a new city. It was 2 months of agony and worry but we survived it without moving in with his folks or going on welfare (which we were applying for when he was hired). It was a scary time but at least we are all healthy. Oh and I vote you and @AmeliaBedilia: poas the 29th!! Hehehe
A bfp would be really inspiring right now!!! FX FOR ALL!

@AmeliaBedilia: That totally makes sense. Saturday makes the most sense then! I'm keeping you in my thoughts until then. We will all get through this one way or another together, won't we?
@MrsMccarthy: It sounds like you and your DH are a great team. And thanks for the POAS encouragement!

Things are looking up! It's not quite positive but it's damn close! Could mean at least a CD16 ovulation which wouldn't be bad!!!

@septca: I definitely don't think you're out of the running yet!
@crystal: I usually don't test, I typically wait for AF because I really don't like BFNs. So that's the day AF is due for this cycle, which is a couple days earlier than usual because I o'ed a couple days early. I may give in and test if I don't feel cramps (I always cramp 1-2 nights before AF).
@MrsMccarthy: Looks like you're getting close to O! Yay! Also sorry about the worry over your husband's job

FIL is on the plane. He left a whole bunch of stuff out and I think I have picked up all of it, and his sheets and towels are in the wash. One downside is that I found out one of his friends who lives here is pushing him to come to a an event here in September for one of their hobbies. Supposedly, FIL didn't think he was up to the drive here and couldn't afford to fly (we had to get his flight since DH wanted him here for graduation), so I will be so irritated if he suddenly can get here on his own, or if he asks for help.

Hi Ladies,
I would like to join you all wonderful supportive folks as we are officially past 6 months trying. Here is my back story:
I have an awesome 2 1/2 y.o. LO who we conceived in the first few months of trying without difficulty. We then pulled the goalie last summer and got pregnant quickly with #2. However, we lost that baby to a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in November. I was (and am) really crushed by the loss.
We tried to get back on track but I will admit our timing has been lacking some months, but here we are 6 months past the loss. I am trying not to worry but I just turned 35 so I feel an increased sense of urgency. DH seems more invested now so that is helping too.
I have been lurking on this board a little and feel ready to join in. I am on CD10 and should be o'ing this weekend, so I will be trying to have good timing this week! I hope it is okay to be a later arrival...

@MamaCate: welcome! I hope your stay here is short! What day do you normally O on?

@Crystal: usually 16 or 17. I am excited that it is falling around a weekend because it helps with our frequency..
@AmeliaBedilia: thank you!

Update on me: I have no idea what is going on with my body. Last night I took a cheapie test (SurePredict, which are really sensitive in my experience) and got a faint but clear bfp (color, solid line, yada yada yada...). This morning I tested with FMU (which was oddly light) and got a weird test line that we will call an evap - definitely not a bfp. Negative on a FRER. So I am really not sure what is going on. Worst case scenario/most probable at this point - I am having another CP. Best case scenario - it's just too early. I am 11/12 DPO today, so I should start spotting today or tomorrow. If I don't spot today, I will test again tomorrow.
I say this every month, but it bears repeating. I don't regret testing early, especially if this ends up being another CP. If it is, I am going to get CD3 and CD21 bloodwork this cycle to make sure my hormones are in check (because I suspect they are not...).

@sapphire: earlier O is good! FX my dear!
@MamaCate: welcome doll! I am so so so sorry for your loss. I hope you see another BFP very soon. I just turned 37 so I know how you feel. My guess is your stay here won't be long but this is a great place to come for support or a laugh.
@septca: thinking of you and hoping this is a sticky little bean! I'm so sorry you are going through this confusion again.
I have another very dark very clear positive OPK this morning so my guess is I will O some time today. So far we have gotten O-4, O-2, O-1, and I hope to get O tonight if that is the case, possibly O+1 as well if I can get hubs in the mood. We have been doing JHO position to help his knee but he keeps standing me up bed and starting to ahem, finish there. It's frustrating because I really want gravity to work for us and not against us. Perhaps tonight I can convince him to try one missionary session. Hopefully the C+ is helping too. I've used it every time so far.
If i O today I'll probably POAS a few days earlier. Good luck ladies.

@septca: that is so frustrating! Hope you get a for sure answer tomorrow.
FWIW, I tested better with smu (or later) than fmu. I had a on a frer with smu on 11DPO. Then a
with a frer and FMU on 12DPO; tested again the same day with smu and had a faint line.

@septca: I really love your idea of skipping work to get a pedi and lunch! I really hope that this confusion period is over for you soon!
I'm supposed to start my second round of Clomid today but my nurse at the doctor is being so confusing. I have my follow up appt with my Dr tomorrow and now they're saying I should just wait until then. I had my u/s last week and they were able to expedite the results so that I could start my meds if everything looked good. They said the u/s looked good, so they called in the Rx, but then I noticed that the milligrams looked wrong. I called to ask about it and it took two days for them to figure it out. I would need to start it today and the nurse finally called me back this morning and said my Dr doesn't want to double my dose if I possibly didn't ovulate, but they didn't even give me the option to email my bbt chart or bring it in or anything. I asked her if I could just go ahead and start the 50mg today and then up it tomorrow if that was the case and she said yes. Then two minutes later she said she didn't think I should. Last week she also said she didn't have any record of me doing the first round of Clomid. I told her I had the Rx numbers and then she found the info but said that it had been cancelled. Mind you, this woman is really sweet and always seems like the most competent person there... lol I've been looking into the idea of finding a midwife that could help me through all of this that can give me more personal treatment and advice alongside my doctor, but I'm lost. I'm not sure if tomorrow he'll say that I can just start the meds a day late, and it's easy, or if this means I'll need to skip the treatment this month. It looks like my fw will be around the 4th of July and I need to be on the meds so I can make a baby and name her Firework! haha I hope you all are having a good day today!

@septca: Sending good thoughts your way!
@MrsMccarthy: I wouldn't worry too much on position. Just get it done! Lots of people get KU with various positions, and if we apply my opposite theory: we would all laugh at someone who thought you couldn't get pregnant with sex in certain positions.
@TTCbabyP: that sounds so frustrating. Hugs!
9DPO here. I symptom stalk, then remind myself that it is just the progesterone.
Getting some things done today and enjoying my FIL-free home. I am trying to get the smell out which took over the guest room, bathroom, upstairs hall and stairwell. I washed all the linens and sprayed febreeze. I will be babysitting my adorable niece and nephew two afternoons this week. She is a total mini me! Hopefully I can enjoy it rather than dwell on TTC challenges.

@AmeliaBedilia: Fantastic!!!
@TTCbabyP: I am so sorry - that sounds really frustrating.
I am in a weird, emotional place today. On the subway this morning, there was a young mom with 2 young kids. She kept screaming at them and, when the little boy fell and hit his head, she said something dumb like, well, that's what you get! And don't get me wrong, I have my exasperated mom moments, but the whole scenario made me cry. Yes, on the subway. Why do people who clearly dislike having kids get them so easily? It's really not fair.

@LindsayInNY: I love seeing you on here!
@septca:
your day sounds fabulous even with the questionable HPTs. (Just disregard the ungrateful parents you encounter.)
@MamaCate: Welcome, friend. I'm so sorry you have found yourself here. But you should find lots of support.
@MrsMccarthy: Get to it, lady!
@TTCbabyP: Oh, dear. That really does sound awfully frustrating. Can you talk to the doctor today?
pomegranate / 3595 posts
@septca: isn't it crazy how some things hit us differently depending on the day? It is awful to watch people engage in poor parenting and my heart always goes out to the kids involved...but it is hard to keep my emotions in check too!
Hope that your self care break is rewarding and you have a clearer answer about what is happening with you soon!
Thanks for the welcome ladies!
@MrsMccarthy: thanks for the condolences and good wishes. Sounds like you are having great timing this month. I try not to worry about age but it nags at me sometimes...

@septca: ugh...I know exactly how you feel. I was the the movies the other night and I went into the bathroom and they was a mom with 3 little girls...probably ranged from 2.5-4 years old and she was helping them go potty and in the meantime she's yelling at the ones who were waiting because they were skipping around, being, um children! It made me so angry. I would die to be in her position with 3 little kids...and there she is screaming at them to behave. I don't get it. Not fair...

@TTCbabyP: That is super frustrating. What CD are you? I took Clomid starting on CD3, but I know some doctors don't have their patients start until CD5, so maybe the window for when you should start has a little bit of flexibility? Hoping you get a clear answer soon.

Anyone have name suggestions for the new July thread?
I had a rough TTC day, and it sounds like a lot of you did as well. I'm currently on my couch in sweatpants and DH is pouring me a glass of wine.
I really hope we all get our BFPs soon.
Can I also say that all of you are wonderful. I love that we aren't just focusing so much on the negative and dwelling on our situation, and instead talk about all aspects of our lives. ️ You ladies.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@Crystal: ain't that the truth sistah! DH got me a ginger hard cider. Yum! My nips are super sensitive but since it's 4dpo I know it's just progesterone. I'll have to think of ideas for names. Only fireworks related ideas come to mind at the moment.
@nicolechris11212: or maybe it's a craving from that bfp you're gonna get!
