@Crystal: there was a girl who took antibiotics while TTC and got pregs that month. She took TTC friendly ones though. Did you tell the doc you are TTC?

@Crystal: Just think of all the people who have an oops due to antibiotics and birth control pills. Prayers that you are feeling better and come through this with a BFP!

    @dc yoga bee: thanks.

    @AmeliaBedilia: that's true!!! Thanks!

@MrsMccarthy: I did tell him, but I don't know how much he cared... He asked how many DPO I was though, so hopefully he took that into account.

Good morning ladies! A timing question for you: I am on cd13. We had a fun bd session last night but it ended with a failure to launch, if you know what I mean. I was hoping to hit EOD 10-14 and then ED over the weekend. DH suggested tonight but I am not sure if it is better to wait. I usually O day 16/17. I don't have a lot of EWCM yet so I think I am on schedule. Better to DTD tonight and skip a weekend day or save our energy?? I sure the ideal answer is probably to do all 4 but that is just not realistic for us.

  8. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@MamaCate: My general rule- as much as you can (assuming no male factor problems), but at least every other day. (Failure to launch does not count.) Sometimes you can O off schedule and it is so aggravating to miss a month due to bad timing.

CD11 here. I think my thermometer may be off. I took my temp and it said 98.10, 5 minutes later was 98.40, then rechecked immediately and 98.35. Assuming the last two are right, I had a potential implantation dip CD10, although it could just be bad thermometer.

There is talk of a number of our friends going to a water park with lots of adventuresome water slides. What does everyone think? I want to go because some of our friends will be moving very soon, and due to DH's work schedule, I won't get to see DH much this weekend.

  9. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@MamaCate: I would get some if your husband is up for it! Then try to hit CD15 and CD17. That should cover you pretty well. If you think tonight will kill it for you this weekend though then I would say skip tonight and start a CD14,CD16 schedule which should also be fine so long as you ovulate within your normal range.

@AmeliaBedilia: Go and have fun! You will be fine.

I had the funniests most vivid BFP dream last night. I rarely remember my dreams so It's neat. My husband came over to me and said "you're pregnant, go take a test." and I was like, what??? How do you know?? I was with a friend and it was only 6DPO so I was really confused. I decided to go take a wondfo. It started out very light but then the test got a SUPER dark positive. I was shocked to see not only a positive but such a dark on on 6DPO. "it's a really dark line too huh?" my husband said. I asked how he knew and he told me he dipped a stick (we are yellow mellow, brown flush down water conservers here). I found that weird too because the water should have diluted the test. Then I got super excited!!!! I couldn't believe it. Was a bit worried about it being so dark and how my dates could be so off but excited.

I don't know if it's an sign or not, I am pretty skeptical with things like that but it was a nice dream.

I'm 2DPO and hangin out. Hope you ladies are well. It's a muggy rainy day in Portland. Kind of pretty actually.

@MrsMccarthy: That must mean you should test at 6DPO, right?

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@HeartAbandoned: Hahahahah oh man. Don't tempt me! 9DPO is the earliest i aim for. SOmetimes i do 7 or 8 though when i am particularly weak.

Wow, @Crystal:, that's a serious case of bronchitis! Ain't nobody got time for that!! (I hope you get the joke.) But seriously.. that sucks. Can you still travel as planned?

@MamaCate: I'd BD tonight, if I were you. Tell DH no more failures to launch permitted.

@AmeliaBedilia: I've always found myself to be untrustworthy of temps for the reasons you stated. But I hope you did get an implantation dip!!! As for the water park, why are you wondering whether or not you should go? If you are freaked out by the kids that poop and pee in waterpark water, then I'd say don't go. But if you have no concern over the cleanliness of waterparks, then why wouldn't you go? You should have a blast with your friends!

@MrsMccarthy: I hope your dream is a sign! And a Portland rainy day does sound like a dreamy day to me, actually.

HELP PLEASE: My CD21 progesterone level was 12.7. Is this good, bad, or meh? I'd really like it to be great, but some how I can't determine that from searching the internet. Any thoughts?

@organicmama: Have you gotten your CD21 results back yet?

  14. organicmama

    cherry / 230 posts

@mrsmcd: My appt is tomorrow! Uggghhh how frustrating to have results but not know what they mean! Your ordering Dr should explain them to you when you go in. Do you have an appt? My Dr office called me on Monday and said they got my results in and wanted me to make an appt. Uh, what does that mean!? Abnormal?? **sigh I'm eager to go tomorrow but also a little scared.

  15. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@MrsMcD: my doctor said anything over 1.2 indicates ovulation. Everything I googled sad anything over 10 is nice strong ovulation. I think you're covered on both fronts!

  16. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@MrsMcD: Thanks! it's really nice and warm and light rain too. bringing out all the good smells. I don't know anything about Progesterone but I know that in some case even people with low normal are put on clomid to strengthen their ovulation so I would wait to speak to your doctor about the results.

@organicmama: I had the same shit! I had to wait so long i was going crazy as you know. In my case everything turned out to be normal and good but for lower normal iron levels. I hope you get some good fixable answers.

If you girls get two different kinds of CM in a day which one do you mark. My CM was EW yesterday morning but by afternoon it was scant creamy. Should I mark creamy? dry? or EW?

  17. organicmama

    cherry / 230 posts

@mrsmccarthy: ha! I certainly remember! All that suspense for a "everything's fine, but can you take some iron?" Geez!! I'd prefer a "we just discovered if you take this one pill you're guaranteed to be ku on your very next cycle! " **sighhh again

@organicmama: Oh man! So, my doctor sent a letter which said, amongst other things, "Your day 21 progesterone was 12.7 this is consistent with ovulation." I have an appointment next month because of other things on my end that prevented me from getting an earlier appointment. I just want to know what is considered the "BEST" blood results for CD21.

I hope you get some great results at your appointment tomorrow. Please try not to worry until you have a reason to worry.

@dc yoga bee: Thanks! That is reassuring to hear.

@MrsMccarthy: Thanks for the response. I'm totally getting clomid next month. But I just like instant result interpretation also! I'm a little inpatient that way!

  19. Snowdrop

@MrsMcD: above 10 is ok. In england the NHS sees anything bellow this as not confirming O. My fertility clinic wants 20+ but they love progesterone as it signifies a strong O and good environment for implantation.

  20. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@Snowdrop: Thanks. So some girls are getting a 20+!?!? And I'm at a 12.7..... this causes my heart to drop a little bit.

ETA: But is that 20+ with girls who are on progesterone supplements?

  21. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@MrsMcD: Your letter is exactly what mine said. And I got my CD 21 test on 4DPO instead of 7DPO on accident and,it was 5.2

  22. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@MrsMcD: for what it's worth I never did till I was pregnant. Over ten is still ok though, much better than what I was getting. My main low progesterone symptom was lots of brown bleeding at the end of my period. I had a normal length lp but this brown bleeding showed that my lining was not developing properly. I was actually quite glad about havong low prog because it was something that could be fixed (and was very easily). Yoirs is loads better than mine though.

  23. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@MrsMcD: no not progesterone supplement, they are ideal levels. Next month i was going to start hcg injections to naturally boost my corpus luteum and that is what they were aiming for, like I said though napro love progesterone!

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@Snowdrop: Thanks, lady. Sorry you had difficulty with low progesterone. I just wish we could all have the best CD21 progesterone levels in the history of medicine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  25. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@MrsMcD: seriously, if I was gonna pick a fertility problem I'd pick progesterone, so easy to fix haha! My consultant is great at teaching the theory behind things so I know loads about progesterone now Are you starting testing then now?

  26. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@Snowdrop: Sounds like you have a great consultant. And it all worked for you! I suppose I am in the throes of testing. Just preliminary bloodwork completed this week, and an HSG on the 7th. And then clomid. I hope something works. I'm ready to leave TTC behind!

  27. dc yoga bee

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@MrsMcD: I was hoping my doctor would give me Clomid but said I don't need it since I'm ovulating. Do you mind sharing if your doctor explained something different to you?

  28. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@MrsMcD: I hope the HSG and all of this ends up good for you and if there is an issue it is fixed easily and gets you KU ASAP!

@dc yoga bee: You are still early in the game yet but if after a year of trying you arent KU I would consider getting a second opinion because these doctors don't always know what they are doing unless they are an RE. I think you will be KU before any of that though. I really do.

@dc yoga bee: Like @MrsMccarthy: said, you are still too early for anything like clomid. I don't recall my doctor's specific reasons for suggesting clomid. She more or less suggested it as an option, and I said yes, that I want it. She also more or less suggested an HSG as an option and I, again, said yes to that. These aren't things she said I must do. But they are next steps in the process. I think there is no reason to think I need to jump right to IUI or whatever else is next, at least not as of yet. But when I see her in mid-July, I will ask your specific question and tell you what she says.

    grapefruit / 4770 posts

@MrsMcD: Awe you don't have to do that!! I'll be seeing an RE in October if we get to that point. But,that's 4 more months!

ETA: I started takin vitamin b complex this month for my short luetal phase and I've had sore nips for a week! I also felt nauseous yesterday and today, but it's only 6dpo

  33. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@dc yoga bee: But i have the same sort of question! I keep hearing from girls that "clomid makes you ovulate stronger." But my sometimes-dense brain just doesn't understand that really.

  34. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

I am next up- oh, the pressure! As for the water park- it is more like an amusement park meets water park. We went last summer, and think I recall many of the rides not recommended for pregnant women. The question is whether super early matters.

  35. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@dc yoga bee: Eep! Sore nipples was my ONLY sign I was pregnant aside from a tiny but of pink when I wiped and I only had them on what must have been implantation day. FX FOR YOU!

@MrsMcD: @AmeliaBedilia: fx for you too!!!! I'm excited for more BFPs!

@AmeliaBedilia: I think you will be fine on the rides but if it makes you feel better then try to ride only the ones you feel safest on.

@Septca thinking of you and hoping your are hanging in there alright.

Anyone have any treats planned if they get BFN this month? Mine is to get the french deluxe vanilla flavored Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf powder and have it with some coffee! Yum!

  36. AmeliaBedilia

    nectarine / 2192 posts

@MrsMccarthy: Thanks! I love the idea of planning what treat if I get a BFN. Sunday DH is gone, and I'm contemplating an entire day of relaxing and not accomplishing anything. I am open to other ideas, though.

Here's my official craziness: we plan to cloth diaper, and I think I know what kind of cloth diapers I want to use (bumgenius). They're normally $15-25/each. There is a garage sale Saturday about 30 minutes away where they are selling them for $3-5/each. I am contemplating. One potential idea is to POAS that morning and if BFP, then go. Thoughts?

  37. organicmama

    cherry / 230 posts

@mrsmcd: I was just thinking I should quit sulking and give my stats for July. Dang it. My hesitation is that with all our family issues this past month (FIL passed away among some other hugely crazy happenings) we only hit O day. And I had my hopes up SOOOO freaking high last month that I literally felt depressed for about two weeks after AF came.

But whatever, all that aside I am scheduled for AF on 7/2 so let's put my test date there? Honestly y'all, I don't see myself testing this month. I'm too bummed from last month. But I did get a bunch of new tests in the mail a couple weeks ago...
@mrsmccarthy: I know you got PG from bd only on O day... That gives me hope!

@snowdrop: How long after you took progesterone did you get KU? Was that what made it happen you think?

  38. deactivated_account

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: Ohhh... I see the concern over the park now. But I wouldn't even worry if you haven't gotten a BFP yet. Just my thoughts. And yes! You ARE up next. No pressure or anything. But I'm sure no one minds if you test early.

@dc yoga bee: Sounds like some good symptoms!

    @MrsMccarthy: Thanks!

  39. Snowdrop

    pear / 1846 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: at that price I would snap em up!

@dc yoga bee: hope you don't mind me butting in but if you got your day21 on 4 dpo by accident I'd really look into re testing because testing so close to O when progesterone is on the rise is not going to mean much and even though your doc said 5.2 indicated O if you look at the pre O levels it isn't that far off either. What I'm saying is that these ranges encompass everyone not just what is good. At 4dpo i'm sure it is just because your levels were on the rise but you can't know unless you test on the right day.

  40. sapphire

    nectarine / 2173 posts

@AmeliaBedilia: barely any of the "do not do during pregnany" co concerns apply very early on. And amusement park regulations are more about liability than anything else. I would go and enjoy!
Also, just me but I wouldn't stockpile a bunch of baby stuff if not KU yet . I hope it's soon for you, bit it could likely just make you feel bad if it doesn't happen soon... Use the money to treat yourself instead! There will be plenty of sales and time to get things when there is a baby on the way.
