I just finished TCoYF, and read through the chapter on "picking" a baby's sex. Clearly there are 50-50 odds and ALL that matters is a healthy baby*, but I wondered what you ladies had found to be true/false for yourselves? Feel free to comment below, too.
*Again, I'm not trying to ruffle feathers and know that a healthy pregnancy is all that matters! This is just for fun!

Hmm I dunno how it worked for us. We DTD on O day and O-2 and we have a boy. Guess it could have gone either way!

I don't know if she is "supposed" to be a girl or boy, but the only possibility for making her was O-1, and she is a girl. Is that in line with what they predict?

I could only vote once so voted conceived 2-4 days before and had a girl. I'm having a girl this time as well, same thing!

We DTD on O-2 and O. But on O day we DTD really late at night. When I realized I O'ed that day I was really excited because I thought our chances for a girl might be high and we had a girl

So interesting to hear everyone's experience! Thank you for sharing! @mae the book basically talks about Shettles, which says that Y sperm swim faster but live less time than X sperm, and X sperm aren't as fast but linger longer. The theory is that boys usually come from DTD on O day or O within 24 hours, and girls come from DTD further out? Again, I'm no expert, just sharing what I understood from the book!

We used fertility treatments and were very generous in the timing, both times. Our first is a girl and it's too early to know the sex of this baby.

We did everything you are "supposed to" for a boy and we have a girl.

We DTD on the days leading up to O, on O day and the day after for #1 and we had a boy.
We DTD at leastttt 2 days prior to O for #2 and we had a girl so for us it was right!

@Running Elley: what do u mean you dtd leading upto O? how many days leading up to O ? wouldn't that help you have a girl ...if you are using shettles it says only to have sex on o not days leading up and only once...

We were on our honeymoon so we DTD at least 1x/day everyday leading up to O and after too. So no idea which day we conceived... we had a boy!
