I originally only got the ergo but then my arms started to ache from carrying my LO and I didn't like the infant insert so after many nights of browsing online, i bought the baby k,tan. It's fairly easy once you try it a couple times and I love that it's fast! No wrapping or tying (unless you use the sash), just slip on/weave arms through and place baby in.

@enjollah: I'm looking at one of each (the seller has both) and my only concern is that her K'Tan is small..I'm 5'7". Does the size matter? I looked at some youtube videos and the baby was very high - by the Mom's boobs! that seemed weird to me..lol. But if it's a small, and I'm long, that might be the case? what do you think?

@sorrycharlie: You're always supposed to baby-wear high for saftey reasons.
I like my Moby in theory, its just WAY too hot. I just got a ring sling and I LOVE that...

I got the Moby but only used it at home twice. We love our Ergo.

@Navy_Mommy: what is a ring sling?
@chopsuey119: I'd love one of those! I just can't swing that much unfortunately

@sorrycharlie: every once in a while they're on baby steals for like 79 bucks. Subscribe to the site! We still use ours for our almost 13 month old. It was totally worth the investment for us!

@sorrycharlie: Regarding the size, I'm 5'8 and I got a small. Is there a baby store around you that carries it? You could try it on? The instructions state you should be able to kiss your baby's forehead when you carry him/her. Majority of the time my LO's head is around my boob area when in it. I also considered the mobs but having to do all that wrapping while holding a LO made me a bit uneasy.

Not to throw a wrinkle in the works, but we were obsessed with Lovey Duds. We actually have a couple of them. I love how cute and light they are... great for summer use!

@enjollah: the woman who is offering them has one of each - so I asked her if I could stop by to try them on I'm just waiting to hear back from her. knowing the baby is *supposed* to be all the way up there makes more sense! I'm thinking I won't use it when the baby is much older (toddler) but for shopping, etc it'll be handy!
@Mrs. Jacks: *off to google lovey duds*

@sorrycharlie: definitely handy! My LO is 12.5 pounds. That combined with the weight of the carseat have made my arms ache! We use to bring LO in th carseat with us (in the shopping cart) but now I just pit him in the carrier. Another good thing is that he'll usually fall fast asleep giving you a peaceful shopping trip (that is after being fed and changed of course).

Thanks for asking this! I was looking at a K'tan for me and the Beco Gemini carrier for DH, but I'm now leaning toward a K'tan for each of us . . .
