Ok. So I pick up my 2 year old daughter from school in manhattan - we live in brooklyn - and I bring my 7 month old with me in the Ergo. I tried the ergo weather cover but it's terrible. My biggest concern is the wind and her exposed face.
Anyone have any great solutions?

Can you wrap a warm fleece blanket around you and the Ergo? Not attractive but might be warmer? I heard about the freezing temps there! Stay warm!

Have you looked at the Peekaru stuff? It looks a little silly, but seems to keep babies toasty and is specifically designed for baby wearing. They've been purchased by Boba and I don't fully get where to buy the stuff directly now. But you can get it on Amazon.

I have a boba fleece babywearing vest (formerly peekaru) that keeps us nice and cozy. It's thin so I can throw a coat over it too. They have a hoodie version too but I think it's harder to find. There are some other babywearing jackets/cover ups out there as well if this is t your style.

I used the same coat that I had bought while pregnant, it was big enough that I could put the Ergo on, and then zip the coat around it.

I live in Minnesota and wore my baby all winter, even in sub-0 temps. I added an extra hat but between this and my body heat he stayed cozy!

I zipped my pregnancy jacket around Ergo and popped a hat on the baby for our long walks every day all last winter. The zipped jacked shelters their little heads. Worked like a charm and it is crazy cold and windy here. Obviously it looked ridiculous though.

We used this: http://www.jollyjumper.com/show/84 plus a fleece one-piece snowsuit and warm clothes underneath. If it was really cold, I put a blanket over that too...

@tinyperson: the ergo one looks similar but it's not tight so her hands could get out.
@Little Misters Mom: @twodoghouse: the only problem with that is I still can't zip up my coat and I was freezing !

Following to get some ideas! 23 degrees this morning, ugh. After nearly freezing LO at the park in the Moby the other day (and I thought I had her bundled well!) I made some emergency fleece purchases during the Old Navy sale recently, but would like some other ideas than just tucking a blanket around the Moby (and when I haven't had time to dress her in more layers, I wrapped my down coat around me frontwise to cover her! so stylish...).

I use those fleece sleepers that @TraceyJoy: linked to. I also added an extra hat and then put a blanket or two over top of her and kept her face covered with the blanket. We live in Canada and we were out last winter when it was -25oC and she was toasty warm. I also saw this thing posted on a fb page where you put your baby on, then get a mens fleece zip up and put it on backwards overtop of the baby and you. Then put your coat on overtop ( though you can't do up your coat. ) You're warm from the fleece being done up, baby is warm with a big fleece around them, and you can use the hood to block their face from the cold.
