My LO is still pretty little (not quite a year) but I like to give her half an hour of run-around time after dinner to get some energy out. So we just sit on the floor and she usually just toddles around and gets into this and that and we play. Then bath (e/o night unless she got sweaty/sunscreened), bottle, book, song, and bed.

He has about half an hour between dinner and start of bedtime routine, and now that the weather is nice he goes outside, plays and gets extremely dirty. So we do a bath every night and then milk/snuggles before heading upstairs.

We usually all clean up dinner and dance around the kitchen before we head upstairs. Dinner is at 6 and we head up at 7 so there's not much time. I would love to have dinner at 530 and then have some outside time this summer, but my husband doesn't get home until 6 at the earliest.

During the winter we were colouring, reading and doing puzzles. Now we are always outside after dinner. We go for a walk or head to the playground to go down the slides.

Generally I let them play independently while I clean up the kitchen, then we finish putting toys away together and begin bath and bed. The older one is usually doing some type of imaginative play- legos recently, and the younger one likes to draw or just make a big mess!

LO eats at 6:30 and doesn't go to bed till 8, so DH usually takes her outside for a short walk and then we do bath, milk, stories, and bedtime song.

It's straight to bed for us. Dinner is at 6/6:30, and by the time we do that, baths, stories and the bedtime routine, it's 7:30. If we skip baths, it's either because we were already running late or they just go to bed on the earlier side. Baths only add 15 min or so anyway.

It has always been straight to the bedtime routine since my kids sleep early. Recently, my older DD has been losing interest in watching me give baby sis a bath so she'll go and read books if she doesn't want to be in the bathroom with us during that time.

We don't have time. After dinner, I take her upstairs to get ready and my husband cleans up from dinner.

We let him run around in his diaper cause he makes such a mess during dinner, and he goes nuts for 20/30 minutes (like NUTS destroying the house - i guess a combo of being naked and having both of us there to play with), and usually starts to calm down and want cuddles at around the 1/2hr mark, at which point we do some quiet activity like books or stacking blocks or something, then we go upstairs for bath (every night) and bed routine. Dinner is usually 6ish, and he's down by 7:30.

Oh man, we are struggling big time with this, because my son and our next door neighbor want so badly to play with each other during the week.
