I heard it was kaidence but they planned on calling her kai (pronounced ky).
Apparently kanye thinks a name is actually a brand and "kai west" has a good brand image.

I've heard three rumored names now. I do prefer the rumors with his mom's name in the middle. Combined with the (awful) K tradition, I like that there's a little of each family. Kai West is pretty bad though. It sounds like a mispronunciation of Key West.

I like the name Cadence, but I really hate the spelling with a K. Ick.
Otherwise, it's a good name, but if they pronounce it Ky-dence, I'll be sad and have to change my status on it.

I hate the Kardashians and I hate Kanye even more. Therefore, I hate the name choice, too. But if anything, the middle name has significance so I'll give a 30% approval only. And that's being generous.

I like the name but not the spelling. I have a friend who has a DD named kaydence. I like that spelling better. It's a pretty name. It's pretty much ruined now.

it isn't great..I see the many references. Dona, his mother, and I like that they did a musical reference (cadence) and I guess I expected the "K" reference.

If that is the baby's name, I totally called the middle name, haha. I think it's a sweet tribute to his mom. I don't love Kaidence, though...But it's better than Easton West, which they were rumored to be considering back before they knew the sex (for the record, I don't mind Easton but with West? No.)

@rattles: haha Apple isn't the worst one, but it was the only weird one I could think of off the top of my head when I wrote the post! LOL. I was trying to think of some of the more bizarre ones, but my mind was a blank. I honestly expected something really random and terrible from her, but I honestly think a lot of other celebrities have done way worse!

I really don't like Kim or Kanye as people (well, the people they portray themselves to be in the media), but it's not *that* bad. That being said, I'm not thrilled with the name, nor is it anything I would choose, but it's better than some of the more out-there options I figured they would consider.

An IRL friend and at least one of our HB members have LO's with the traditional spellings of this name. I think it's a lovely name when the traditional spellings/pronunciation are used!

Apparently there is also speculation the name could be Klementine Star due to a recent web domain purchase (a la Blue Ivy Carter).
