A gossip blog is reporting Kim and Kanye's baby is named Kaidence Donda West. Donda is his late mother's name. If true, what do you think of the name?

approve!!! I don't like the name donda, but because it's after his mom i like it. I was hoping they did Kadence!! SO i was close. lol

I met a "Cadence" once. It's not a terrible name, but not a huge fan either.

@zippylef: Agree-- the name is OK (I don't love or hate it) but I do hate the stupid spelling, if that's the way they did it. I don't personally care for Donda, but if it's a family name then I like it anyway.
I'm just glad she didn't use the girl name I'm thinking about! Starts with a C but she could have made it a K and I'd be pissed.

Its OK, better then I expected but not personally a huge fan. I don't like it spelled with a though. A c would of been better. O do love that they honored his mom though, that's sweet.

I like it! I agree with @zippylef: definitely a pleasant surprise.. I was half expecting another Blue Ivy/Apple type name.

@Mrs. Champagne: I hope the gossip blog had a typo. IMO no need for the extra I when theu already are using a K.
Kim definitely had slim pickings on K names. Kaidence is ok.

Not a fan of that name spelled the common way, and definitely not a fan of it spelled that way! But I think I would've been shocked if I actually liked the name they chose.

I hate names when it should start with a C and they change it to a K.. but we knew they were going to do that, so I'm happy with this choice and its no K'Donda or something (saw that on a website this morning and it made me lol!) If they dropped that "i" it would be much much better.

I'm not much on alternative spellings for names. But, then again, there's also no danger of me shacking up with Kanye West either. To each their own.

Cadence was one of our choices if LO was a girl! Not sure we would have picked it, but DH loves that name (spelled traditionally, obviously). Thankfully, LO is a boy, so no worries

@LaineysMom: OMG, I really hope they're not planning to pronounce it "kai-dence" instead of "kay-dence". If they do, I will change my vote to hate the name, hate the spelling.
I guess we'll know for sure when we all see the gigantic baby special episode that's surely coming.

I like the proper spelling and meaning of the name, though I wouldn't personally use it. Spelling it with a K is lame IMO.

I think their usage of K names is so dumb. But at least the middle name is after his mom so that has significance.

I think Cadence (Kaidence) is a pretty sounding name. I wouldn't use it but I guess it makes a bit of sense because Kanye is in the music industry. I don't like the spelling but I understand why they did it.
I like that they used Donda. We are using family names as middle names too (even though they aren't our most favorite sounding names).
I don't care about them personally, but I find names interesting! I think they did a decent job.

@zippylef: LOL! Yeah, originally I read it as Kay, but who knows with those 2.. As much as KK bugs the crap out of me, I'm sure ill be watching the (most likely) 2 hr long episode on it. But now are they going to edit it when Kanye isn't on the show anymore?

I like the name and spelling. And I can't STAND Kim.lol Kanye is just crazy. I like using his mom's name. My LO's middle name is Rose, after her great greandmother.

Really like Cadence. Meh about Kadence. Kaidence??? UGH. Kourtney with a K is meh enough. I hate names being spelled differently for no reason!!!! But hey it could have been worse!

I like it for them. Cadence makes sense because of his musical background, and I expected Kim to do the K. I think adding the "i" in there is a bit much though. And I think its sweet that they named her after his mom.
I'm just glad its a "celebrity" name and not OUR name!
