Do you mean those lacing cards/toys for fine motor skills? I've seen Melissa and Doug ones at TRU and Barnes & Noble.
I've bought a pack for $3 in the Target dollar spot, too.. Keep em in my purse to keep LO busy at random times, waiting for food at restaurants, etc.

Kohl's carries Melissa and Doug stuff, but it's sort of hit and miss what they actually have in the store.

I grabbed lacing animals at target a few weeks ago on clearance. Brand is Hape, but I think it's for younger kids, 18 months+. Basically it's little animals with 1 hole through them to thread the string through. They might not be available anymore if they were on clearance though.
