Good luck tomorrow! I've had one (cyst removal caused by Clomid during my IUI cycle) and it's a breeze, but you may have bad shoulder pain afterwards from the gas. Just a forewarning because I was warned ahead of time and glad that I was, because that pain came out of nowhere and I'm glad I knew it was common/normal. I had to take pain meds for that. You'll be back to your normal self in just a few days.
Refresh my memory...what is this surgery for? Good luck!

I was terrified, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. It was over quickly and I recovered within a few days. Good luck!!!

I had a dermoid tumor removed a number of years back. Right after the procedure, I was a little nauseated- and when they asked if I wanted to go home- I told them not until I had another bag of IV fluids and phenergan. I felt MUCH better after that.
Miralax helped with some constipation afterwards, but overall- I was a-okay!
Do you have a heating pad to help ease that gas pain that Jenn mentioned?

Just wanted to fill you all in. Surgeon found that I have stage 4 endometriosis, which is the worst (as you probably know). He removed all that he could find. He said it was blocking the eggs from coming out of the ovaries. So without the surgery, it would have been impossible to achieve pregnancy. He said it's now going to be possible and he will know on my follow-up if he thinks we should try naturally, IUI or IVF. I'm so grateful to have found the problem and I'm very hopeful. I'm in lots of pain, but mentally and emotionally feeling so very content.
Thank you so much for your support!!

@CatchAFallingStar: Just curious, did you have any idea you had endo?

@CatchAFallingStar: I am so glad that you have some answers now. It sucks, and I can tell you that I was very angry for a while after my surgery... but in the end I am so glad I went through with it because I would never have been able to have DD without the surgery. I know exactly what you are going through, and I hope that you will find peace and get KU very soon! ((hugs)) I hope you feel better soon.
ETA: You might also ask your doctor for a reasonable timeline to try naturally.,.. my doctor gave us 6 months to try on our own before moving to IVF (she thought IUI was pointless in our situation). She was afraid that if we waiting any longer than that, we risked my endo re-growing the blockages we had cleared and putting us back at square one. We got our BFP the first possible month after my lap!

@CatchAFallingStar: I'm so sorry that you are stage 4 but I am happy to see that you still have options for pregnancy. I pray it will be the least expensive and quickest route possible and no matter what I hope to see a healthy baby in your belly soon. Hugs.

@CatchAFallingStar: So sorry you have endo, but I'm glad he removed as much as he could. Hopefully, that should help! Sorry you are in pain. Hope some pain meds help! I'm glad at least you got some answers and hopefully you'll have a plan in place really soon!

@littlek: Yes, I've had horrible cramps since I was a teen, so I've always suspected it.
