I think so. Every time she's working on something her sleep is off. I was just going to post about it.

I've been thinking about this too. LO is getting close to rolling and her sleep has been different the last five days or so.

@katsupgirl: @Revel: @Baby Boy Mom: Glad that we aren't the only one. She has been working on crawling for a month now, so close. She was teething too, but those have both popped through the gum, so I thought sleep would maybe get better. Not so much, last night was bad.

Yup! I found this to be VERY true. Right now, my son is developing his imagination so he's been having bad sleep at night. He keeps dreaming and talking in his sleep! It is truly amazing how the human body and brain works!

LO is trying to learn how to sit up. Suddenly now she needs to wake up in the night again.. so I'll be another 'yes.'

A few times....when he learned to roll from back to belly (b/c he would roll to his belly in his sleep and was unhappy about that). And when he learned to walk....but that also coincided w/ a x-country move, so not sure which was the culprit.

Yes! I'm noticing that going through a "leap" per the Wonder Weeks results in some rough nights!

Rolling back to belly threw sleep off for a few weeks this month. At five months she learned to thumb her legs up and down against her mattress. I'm not sure if that's officially a "skill" but it certainly messed up everyone's sleep. Many nights of DH and me pulling the duvet over our heads and hoping the "whomp, whomp, whomp" noises would stop.

Yep, usually it's just a night or two, but my usual STTN 12+ hour babies, will have one or two wakes during a new skill development. where I have to go and shush him or hold him before he sleeps again.

Yes. LO is a great sleeper but every time she is learning something big, her sleep suffers. Right now she's pulling up to standing and last week was getting into a sitting position from laying down all by herself. Sleep has been disrupted lately, to say the least!
