E had one for about 5 days before Christmas. It was just a really unpleasant virus that made her feel crappy. We actually took her in on the last day, when the rash broke out. She wasn't eating great, just moany and wanted to lay on the couch with me and watch tv all freaking day. Cool baths, too. And we did everything you are doing--pedialyte, pedialyte popsicles....

DD's longest fever was 6 days

Took her to ped on day 4 and 5 and then on day 6 she broke out in HFM

@littlejoy: I asked about roseola and her ped couldn't confirm if that was it or not. But most of E's viruses have ended in a rash at the end, right when the fever breaks.

The longest (4 days) was with roseola. The rash popped up once the fever went away.

We just got over the same thing two weeks ago. 17 month old with a fever that hovered in the 101-102 range (spiked at 103ish) lasted Monday morning through Friday afternoon. So almost 5 full days. Went to the dr on the third day because he had never had a fever longer than 24 hours before and dr said it was just a virus. It's so hard because while it's great that it's just a virus and nothing more serious it sucks not knowing when it would end. I hope things clear up soon.
