How's everyone doing?
So I got a partial line on the wondfro OPK strips, so maybe I'll get a positive tomorrow. Been BDing about every other day, I'm feeling good about this month.
Where are you in your cycle?
So it looks like my POAS date has been pushed back to Oct 28th. I have long cycles (33-35 days), so I'm on CD22.
How are you planning to tell DH about being a pumpkin smuggler?
My DH is big into comics, so if I get a BFP, I have superman, spiderman and batman iron-on patches that I bought from ebay. I'll just need to find a onesie in either black, red or blue to iron on the patch. Then attach the note to the DH that says... 'Will we have a supergirl or a superboy?' with the superman patch. (I.E. batgirl or batboy with batman symbol; spidergirl or spiderboy with the spiderman symbol) I don't know what patch I want to use though. Still deciding. It will probably depend on what color onsie I find. Oh, still want to do the whole hamburger bun in the oven and wait till the DH asks me 'Why there is a bun in the oven?' LOL! After he realizes, it would be a great time to hand him the gift of the onsies.
Oh, just a heads up, I'm not going to be very active on this thread. I'm going to try to be very laid back this month and not worry about all the signs. But I'll definitely stop by once in a while.

Where are you in your cycle?
CD 3
How are you planning to tell DH about being a pumpkin smuggler? Not an option now, maybe I will be a turkey smuggler. I am debating whether or not to get back on Clomid for next cycle. I don't know.
Feeling down today after I had someone close to me tell me that I should be thankful I can't have children because they are a pain in the butt. Ummm ya thanks.... first of all I have wanted kids forever, and have been ready forever, so I will not be thankful that I haven't got pregnant yet. I know kids come with responsibility, I am prepared for it. I think some people do not understand that pain that comes every month when you hope you are pregnant and get ready to test and you see af again.... every single month. Anyways that is how I am today

@anonysquire: that was a crappy thing for that person to say. Wow! People are really inconsiderate sometimes. I'm sorry.

- how is everyone doing?
Pretty good, all things considered. Tired, DH had an accident on his mountain bike so I've been consumed with that.
- where are you in your cycle?
10-11 days PO. I didn't get my temp one day, so I don't know if I O'd that day or not. If AF doesn't visit by Friday, I'll start testing.
- How are you planning to tell DH about being a pumpkin smuggler?
I haven't really thought about it. Probably something really low key, but we'll see. He's still kind of reserved about the possibility.

@anonysquire: AF or no AF, that's just really BS stuff to be saying. Flipping rude yo!
how is everyone doing?
Hanging in there. My Jenny Renny reading is definitely helping me keep somewhat sane even though I know better than to read too much into her reading.
where are you in your cycle?
On CD 16 and I'm anticipating O in the next 72 hours based on my previous 34 day cycles (I normally O around CD 18). However, I had a 28 day cycle last month. I'm not using OPKs nor charting so we've just been BD every other day, but will bump it up to daily this week. Hopefully, we have all our basis covered! *fingers crossed*
How are you planning to tell DH about being a pumpkin smuggler?
Like Mrs. Castro, annoucement via the mommy and baby skeleton shirt would be awesome if I get a BFP! My POAS date will be awfully close to Halloween, and I'll only be 12 DPO so we'll see!

@evansjamie: Ouch! Hope your hubby is okay, and it's nothing major. My hubby used to be into mountain biking and has seen a fair share of his injuries/wounds.

@Alivoo01: Sorry to jump in here, but I have to ask: how did you do bold??? I know how to do italics, but haven't been able to get bold to work! What's the magic syntax??
watermelon / 14467 posts
@Alivoo01: We don't think it's anything major, but he doesn't have a good range of motion. He flipped the bike and he foot didn't come unclipped, so instead of rolling, his shoulder took the entire brunt of impact on a stump and the bike fell on top of him. We'll know more tonight.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Adira: < b> text </ b> minus the space before the letter B's. Had to put a space in there otherwise it would just bold my text instead of showing you the syntax. Ha!
@evansjamie: oh yikes! Hopefully it's just bumps and bruises, and nothing more!

I'm doing pretty good! Work is crazy and the holidays are sneaking up but I'm pretty excited about them this year.
Where are you in your cycle?
CD 18. This is our first month charting but we started TTC last month. My temp has been up and down by .4 degrees this entire cycle but we'll continue to BD EOD until I see some crosshairs on FF =]
How are you planning to tell DH about being a pumpkin smuggler?
I haven't really thought of how yet!! My POAS date is on Halloween Day so perhaps it might be cutting it too close to get into the spirit of the holiday. Maybe I'll tie it into a Turkey theme the day after =]

@Kentuckygirl: Fingers crossed for you!! I'm 6DPO and I'm desperate to test already!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
I tested this morning, even though it's definitely too early, so, negative. No surprise there and I'm still in. I'm somewhere between 8-11 DPO, and my LP is 17ish days, so I won't know for sure for another week.
Now I need to figure out a testing strategy-- DH will be away weds night-Friday, and I don't think I want to test while he is gone, so I'll prob test Weds and then Friday? Or maybe not until Friday.
I'm totally symptom spotting though-- I was nauseas one day last week, and this weekend, especially Saturday, my boobs have been SO sore, more than ever before. So, we'll see. Trying not to read too much into it but...
papaya / 10570 posts
Oh, I know the feeling. I can't decide when to test!
My planned POAS date is 12DPO, on Sunday. However, it's my BIL's engagement party on Sunday and I really don't want to upstage my future SIL (especially as she had a m/c a few weeks back so it would be a double blow) ....the champagne will be flowing, they'll guess if I don't partake just a little (and MIL will be crazy with excitement if she guesses). BUT, I'll feel awful if I test on the Monday after drinking champagne and get a BFP. Decisions!!!
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Ali: can you sneak in a ginger ale, pour out the champagne when no one is looking and pour in the ginger ale instead?
papaya / 10570 posts
@Strawberrybee: Not really, it's an afternoon tea party at my future SILs parents' house, with my in-laws and all future SIL's family - amounting to about 30 people. So there wont be opportunity to pouring the drink away other than in the loo - and taking my drink to the loo will look a bit weird. I considered telling them I wasn't drinking because I was on medication but I'd feel guilty lying to them..... but it might be my only option..... of course, if I am not pg this month it wont be a problem so I need to stop planning and hope I have something to worry about on Sunday!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@Ali: I would walk around with a glass of champagne and just have sips here and there. Take it to the bathroom and pour out enough to be believable and pretend to take sips. I mean, IF you got a BFP before the party of course. I'd test, and if it is negative, just have a glass or two.
That does bring me to the thing that was bothering me this weekend-- I knew it was too early for a BFP, even with crazy symptom spotting, so I did have a few glasses of wine, but then I'd feel guilty. What do you all do? I'm all about the drink til it's pink, but I did limit how much I drank. It was worse since we were on vacation, so I wanted more wine!

@bluestriped bee: I know this might be a little belated, but i was SOOO glad to read that you guys jumped that tricky relationship hurdle successfully and see you back on the baby track. Yayyyy
pomelo / 5041 posts
@foodnerd81 and @ali: I'm definitely drink til it's pink. I read that your baby doesn't share a blood supply until well after a BFP so you can't really harm it if you have a drink or two one night prior to getting pregnant. When I thought I was pregnant once and had to go to a party, I "extended the truth" and said that drinking margaritas the night before had hit me badly and I was not in the mood to drink again today. It allowed me not to drink but it had them also questioning if I was pregnant. I think next time I'd just hold onto a drink and sip it a bit, and make DH drink it when no one was looking.

I just wanted to come say congrats to those who have gotten positives this month!
We are thinking we would like to wait another year for LO #2 but I am currently not on any BC. We had a "woops" night around my O time (middle of the cycle so just guessing), so I am kinda anxious to see if AF comes this month. I think it should be around the next week or so.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
BFN again today, but I still thinks it is a little soon. AF isn't due until Monday at the earliest, but I'm somewhere around 13DPO.

@MrsCastro: (and anyone else who might be interested) I've changed my username! I thought that using a picture of my face and my real name was a bit too open, given that the site is opening up!! So can you please change my name on the POAS list - if you can guess who I am that is!!! My POAS date is 21.10.12!
papaya / 10570 posts
@Alivoo01: Shhhhh! Don't tell everyone!! Giggle! I'm pretty pleased with my new username, I'm excited to be a something-bee!

@Adira: @kpow: I was wondering the same thing. I don't think I've ever seen anything bolded like that.
Maybe I can try to add html tag. "< b >" Left arrow- B- right arrow
Let's try this
@Beetones: Thank you!!
ETA: Cool! You can use html tags to change your font.
Lets try italics... Italics
clementine / 957 posts
You can do the same with the italics, like so
< i > word < / i > (no spaces!)
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
Ladies, I broke the cardinal rule of POAS. This morning, I took a test out of the garbage to see if there was a line there, a full 24 hours later. Yes, that's right, I put my hand in the garbage and took out something with my pee on it from 24 hours ago. And, there was a line, but it was faint and probably an evap line, even though my hopeful brain wants it to be real. I only waited 5 minutes and tossed it yesterday. My temp was also up another .3 degrees this morning, but I had a tiny bit of spotting. DH is away until tomorrow night and I will not test when he isn't home, but I have decided to buy a FRER to take over the weekend in addition to the dollar store ones. That's my update, how is everyone else?
