@Foodnerd81: exciting!! what kind of test was it? pink or blue? do we get a pic?? love a good 'am i pregnant' thread =D fingers crossed for you!

@mrs. bird: Haha no, it's not an am I pregnant thread! It's a "I shouldn't pull 24 hour old tests out of the garbage because it leads to confusion" thread! I thought about taking a pic and stopped myself this morning, actually. It was a dollar store, pink line test. And, I'm not retesting until Saturday morning when DH is home. Tempting as it is... I actually only took it out because my temp went up this morning, though I guess I was wearing long sleeves and pants instead of a nightgown...

@foodnerd81: I've definitely done that before, "just in case" I didn't look hard enough. Haven't we all been there?

  4. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@foodnerd81, @chibee: I certainly have been there! Not POAS for a few more days I think because I am sure it's not my month. However AF and my birthday are due around the same time, so I'm planning on POAS a day or two before so that I won't be depressed on my bday.

@Foodnerd81: It may not be an evap line since red dye tests don't really have those I don't think... You JUST might be preggo! Eeep!!!

    @Alivoo01: YOU ARE NOT HELPING!
JK, I love hearing it But not helping my resolve not to test until Saturday am. Maybe I'll test right before he gets home tomorrow night so I can surprise him when he comes in. I just hate holding my pee.

Hey ladies! I'm new here, and my husband and I are on our first cycle of "not trying, not preventing," but I just have a sneaking suspicion that I might be pregnant. AF is due today, but haven't seen any of the normal signs that I usually get a few days prior (breakouts, irritability, etc). Also I've had some breast soreness that I've never had before. I POAS two days ago and got a BFN.

Anxious and nervous to see if AF comes today, and if not I will probably POAS tomorrow.

Even though we aren't actually TRYING to conceive, I really do hope it happens this month!

Good luck to all of you who are hoping the same thing!

@mellybelly: welcome! and I hope you're right. You'd be so lucky!
@grace: I know it looks pretty good but check out the cycle before it. It's actually very similar, and that was a BFN cycle. That's why I'm not so inclined to believe it's good.

@marionberry: Nope. I don't believe it. However, you keep telling yourself whatever you need to and I'll be excited for you instead.

@mellybelly: EEEP!! Good luck!!! And welcome, of course!

Well, I think I'm out. AF isn't due for another 4 days but my temp has plummeted and I feel like she's on her way. We don't have thanksgiving here so I can't be a turkey-smuggler What can I be???

Ok - here's the plan! I'n going to bring thanksgiving to the UK! I'm going to give it a traditional English flavour - we will go round the table and share something we want to moan about (moangiving if you will) because British people love to moan, we will then say grace, in which we'll tell God we'd rather be eating beef but thanks anyway, then we'll eat turkey! And I can be a turkey smuggler!!!!

Guessing from my usual 13 day LP and the Peak on the monitor today is O day for me. However, my temps will tell tomorrow! I might be missing the October POAS but I could be the first November!

@mellybelly: Congrats! This was exactly how I got my BFP and my little girl (now 1). We weren't quite ready but she has fit into our lives really well. Now we are trying to decided when to try for #2 or just see when it happens (see my post above).

Question for those who have been TTC for awhile: This is my first TWW, so I'm just now realizing how hard it is to NOT know. Does it get easier with each cycle? Or does it get way worse the longer it takes?

@Thehistoryofus: aw that's so special! Yeah it does feel like a really natural way to do it. However, I'm not going to last much longer without officially TTC if it doesn't happen while NTNP. I have a bad case of baby fever. Good luck with your LO#2!

  25. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@cherrybee: This is exactly what I might have pictured an English Thanksgiving to be. I love the idea! HEHE you so made me laugh.
@ladybee: So excited that you got your first CBEFM "O". Now if you test on day 12 you could POAS on Halloween. I say you try and maybe you'll get a treat!

  26. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mellybelly: I think it's pretty hard each time. What we have found is that the busier you are during the TWW the better. It keeps your mind off of it.

  27. Foodnerd81

    wonderful cherry / 21504 posts

@mellybelly: This is my first TWW and it sort of sucks! I don't know if it gets easier.

I have a feeling I'm out. I have the same normal spotting that I get before AF. I'm feeling PMS-y. I was super hopeful yesterday and I guess I'm not out until next week (freaking long LPs). I'm going to do a FRER tonight and if it's negative, I'm opening the new bottle of wine we just got.

  28. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@foodnerd81: you sound like me! Whenever I get the BFN I open a new bottle of wine! I hope it's not AF for you though.

  29. Foodnerd81

    wonderful cherry / 21504 posts

@marionberry: We just tried this wine for the first time last weekend and it's really good, so it is a decent consolation prize.. baby... wine... almost as good?

  30. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@foodnerd81: We have a bottle that gets to only be cracked when we get a BFP. Of course I might only get a sip, but that's how much we correlate baby to wine, lol. And you can't beat a big glass of wine in a nice hot bath when AF appears.

    GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts

@mellybelly: I'm not gonna lie, it sucks every time. The best way I've found to deal with it is just to stay as busy as humanly possible doing fun things! We are on cycle 4 and we stopped charting this month because it was stressing me out too much! When it gets too hard, just come here on the board and vent to us!

  32. Foodnerd81

    wonderful cherry / 21504 posts

@Bookworm: Does not charting actually stress you out less? I think it would stress me out more not know where I was in my cycle, so I'd start getting my hopes up too early. Now I know within a couple of days exactly when AF should show, even though I know I ovulated almost a week later than normal.

  33. Bookish

    GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts

@Foodnerd81: I was surprised that it did stress me out less!! i really thought I'd be freaking out not knowing where I am... but really, it's nice to not have to take my temp in the morning, and I no longer obsess over my charts every day. For everyone it's different, but I'm glad I stopped. If it takes us another few months, I may start it back up just to see what's goin on.

  34. Alivoo01

    wonderful olive / 19353 posts

@mellybelly: I agree with other Bees that the TWW sucks just as much each cycle, and heaven forbid you have 6+ TWW because it does get harder. When you want a BFP, you want it yesterday, so the longer it takes to get it, ugh!!

Hi everyone, I think I can finally jump in here. I've been TTC-ing since June, but haven't ovulated at all. But I *finally* have a good chance of it happening!

I started seeing an RE and got all our pre-testing done and was able to start 50mg Clomid on Wednesday, which was CD6. I go back for an ultrasound next Wednesday (10/24) and they'll see if I have any follies big enough to trigger that night. If not, we'll up my dose to 100mg. I plan to test out the trigger so if 50mg works, I'll be testing from 10/26 (expected O day) and on. Fingers crossed we have a little pumpkin growing in a couple weeks :).

@MrsCB: Good luck to you! Hope you have a little pumpkin!

My AF is late by 1.5 days now. Although, I traveled a lot the last month so things could be wonky. I was going to POAS this morning but chickened out. But I have to do it this afternoon so I can know whether or not I can drink this weekend (sister's birthday outing). So nervous!

Also, I want to be pregnant, but I don't necessarily want everyone to know by obviously not drinking this weekend (my sisters will DEFINITELY notice). But I guess that's how it goes.
