So...I'm 2 plus weeks post partum from a c section and already feeling my desire coming back....yay! Obviously I'm not going to jump into things before 6 weeks DH and I arent comfortable with that but I have a blunt question....
Did it hurt to orgasm? I've been semi tempted to be intimate in other ways but am pretty scared of pain. A lot happened down there even though I ended getting the section. Maybe this is a wicked TMI post but I'm curious other people's experiences!

@Nskillet: did 'other things' too and the o did not hurt me...but i, too, was scared that it might. Sneezing hurt more.

Wow, I didnt have a c-section and couldn't do the deed until 6 months, but I did have intense ripping though.

I had a c-section and we waited 6 weeks. I can tell you that the O didnt hurt at all. DTD for the first time DID hurt though. I was shocked at how badly it hurt. I felt like I closed up lol (sorry for the TMI)

I didn't have a c-section. We waited 6 weeks. Orgasm didn't hurt, but the sex in general did.

Depends on what kind of shape you're in. With my first I had wicked stitches and it took a while to not hurt (penetration...orgasm didn't hurt). This time around I was in much better shape and it didn't hurt at all!

@LivsMama: So many women say this!! I find it hard to imagine being closed up, did your DH notice a difference?
Oh and BTW you were so right about the c section. I hate to say piece of cake but....piece of cake!!!

We are going to wait the 6 weeks, I too have been tempted to dabble in "other things" but when I asked my OB about undertaking it, she told me to wait the 6 weeks for any and all sexual activity. She did give me a prescription for birth control so when the 6 week mark hits we can get right into it without worrying.

I didn't have a C section but yes in the past week the desire has started to come back! O did not hurt. As of now we're still in the camp of wait for the doc's OK at the post partum care appt at six weeks. We'll see where we stand in another few weeks!

@LivsMama: I had a c section too and it totally hurts to have sex again..feeling like everything had closed up is a pretty accurate way to describe it. It does not hurt to orgasm though.

I also had a c-section and was in a similar situation as you. 
The O didn't hurt, just penetration because things felt really tight.

It didn't hurt but my lady bits felt tingly and heavy. I started using a vibrator around 3 weeks post partum.
Now I am 10 weeks pp and sex is a little uncomfortable at first but not bad. : )

@Nskillet: Yep, he definitely noticed a difference. It wasnt all that pleasant for him either lol. And we used lube. It HURT. Im glad your section was a piece of cake too! I sometimes feel weird about describing it like that, but really, thats how it was.

I agree, everyone is amazed by my speedy recovery I'm 2 weeks post section and never have had problems lifting my baby, have been very active, and stopped pain meds as soon as my spinal headache went away!
