Can I get away with Lightroom 3? It's half the price of 4 or 5, and I don't have to upgrade my operating system (Mac).

I use Lightroom 3 (not super well yet, but I'm learning), I got a really good deal through their website since I'm a teacher- I just had to send a copy of a paystub and a copy of my school ID. I know they have a similar deal for students too. It does pretty much everything that I need, and way more than I am capable of right now.

I use LR3 and I haven't felt that I need to upgrade!
Make sure you buy the "full" version rather than the "upgrade" version.

I am currently using Lightroom 5, and the main difference for me is the capability with new cameras. Otherwise, I revert back to Lightroom 3 settings when editing because that's what I'm used to.

Okay, I have it. How did you guys learn? I played around for a while but I'd like to learn how to use this software a little more quickly than I learned how to use my camera.... -
@Silva: YouTube tutorials, I wish I had more time to learn, I'm happy to hear anyone else's suggestions for picking it up faster! They hold classes in it at our local community college in LR and photo editing too.
