In the hospital, DD has tested positive for RSV.
We took her to urgent care after I noticed she's was wheezing. Today she had a bad cough. Yesterday, she had a fever and green muscous. I called the pediatrician yesterday and today. They said to take her to urgent care if she has trouble breathing.
DS right now has just the green mucous and no signs of fever or trouble breathing. We will keep an eye on him.

Aw poor baby. I'll be thinking of you. I hope big brother is somehow spared! And just be prepared it often gets worse before it gets better. I think day 3-5 are the worst. Did they get synagis vaccines?

@junebugsmama: no, they didn't. They just missed the preemie requirements for that vaccine.

Our little had RSV at nine weeks. We didn't need hospitalization but it sucks. Sorry.

Oh no!! Poor kiddos!
DS got RSV at 3 months, but fortunately didn't need hospitalization. It was a rough week though in the sleep department, but it didn't really seem to bother him. He was sluggish and warm, and had all sorts of congestion going on, but he still smiled all the time. I felt so bad for him like he should be feeling miserable. I felt more miserable for him than he actually did. lol

@bluestriped bee: oh no, poor baby! How old is she? Charlotte had RSV at three months and it was rough! As someone else mentioned it definitely gets worse before it gets better.
It's so hard to see them so sick!

Praying for her!! K's cousin had RSV and pneumonia & landed in the hospital last week too; it's heartbreaking to see them that way. Praying for a quick recovery and that it won't get worse than this!!

Thank you everyone! Keaton has a fever now. We are hoping it's just that and he doesn't get worse and have trouble breathing.
Lana also tested positive for Rhino virus.
She is still the same as last night. (Not getting worse so far) but she is getting oxygen and her breathing is still fast. I'm told it might get worse before it gets better.

@T.H.O.U.: Yeah, Lana was transported to the children's hospital around 3am. I got there shortly after.

I'm sorry!! Breathing issues like this are so scary. My kids have asthma, so regular colds can really be rough on them, and Xander had to be hospitalized last year because of a virus going around (not RSV). But it sounds like Lana is in good hands!! Hoping she feels better soon and you can bring her home.

Poor baby! And poor mama & daddy. Breathing/fast heart rate with a nasty virus/cold was what we dealt with when ds was hospitalized at five weeks, no rsv though. Now my older lo has croup and I am reeeeally hoping ds doesn't catch it. Hope she is better asap so you can get back to normal. It's so scary, but it sounds like you're in good hands!
