My five-week-old has little red spots on her face and tonight they're on her neck, ear, shoulders and the top of her chest too. She hasn't got a fever and she seems fine in herself. Anyone any ideas of what it could be?

It sounds like it could be newborn rash. My LO had it mostly on his chest. From what I remember, it cleared up within a few days.

Baby acne maybe? That's when both DD and DS had theirs...it took a few weeks to clear up.

Could be more hormone spots? My LO is nine weeks and still periodically breaks out in red spots and they usually disappear after a day or two.

could be sensitive skin. my son gets little red spots when he reacts to soap, lotion, diapers, etc.

It's probably just a rash. If it spreads or gets worse, call your pedi.

Thanks for talking me down, ladies. DH thinks it might be a reaction to his stubble so he's shaved and we'll see how it is in the morning. Thanks again!

Our ped said it was milia on our lo google for pics. She said its harmless
