I think someone posted about this recently, but I can't find the link, so I'm sorry if this is duplicated.

My little girl is now 2 months old and she's now refusing to go to sleep unless she can suck on the boob. She's refusing a pacifier (she'll gag once she realizes what it is) and she absolutely won't even let me hold her like a baby in my arms (cradle hold) because she'll start rooting and the scream if she doesn't get a boob.

Our usual routine during the night is to feed, change, swaddle and rock back to sleep. Sometimes, if it doesn't seem like she's had enough to eat, I'll put her back on the breast before putting her to bed. During the day, it's feed, change, play, swaddle, then sleep. But now she wants to feed again before sleeping. She completely winds up if I don't let her (arching back, hands flailing, red face, and screaming). I try doing the 5 S's and sometimes that will help, but it takes a very long time and usually ends up with me caving in...

I really want to be able to put her down for her naps without having to feed her because I know she's only doing it to soothe herself. Is this just a phase? Is there something I can do to get her out of this habit?

ETA: I'm going back to work in 3 weeks (yikes!) and she'll be in daycare during the day. I'm worried about how she'll be when she's there, or if it will help her brake the habit.
