When did you start actively trying to loose the baby weight? At 8 weeks PP I still feel so sleep deprived and way to exhausted to work out. I have 30lbs to loose plus 15 more to be at my goal weight. When did you actively try to loose weight?

I wouldn't say I"m actively trying to lose the weight now, at 6 weeks pp, but I am trying to just be more active in general...I've been to the gym 3 times in the last 2 weeks and always feel better after I go. Just trying to move around more and get physical activity back into my routine. I'm going to re-evaluate after the holidays and decide if I want/need to get more serious about it. But I definitely want to have plenty of holiday treats

I also have 30lbs to lose to be at my pre preg weight (which was the best shape of my life....so 25 is probably more realistic). I started running again at about 2 months, but am definitely more committed now at 4 months since the weight just isn't going anywhere on it's own. So I'm running 3-4 miles every other day and actively trying to eat less/better. I feel like I'm finally at a point where I have my head on straight and am getting a little more sleep, so I can actually practically focus on my fitness goals a little more. Definitely would not have been possible before 3-4 months with my twins.

I'm hoping to make it to the gym soon (4 weeks pp) but it's so hard with DH's work schedule during the week. I'm not really going to try to actively lose at this point. I have 10 lbs to get to my pre-preg weight, but it's more about needing to tone. Plus, I'm so hungry with breastfeeding! I'm just going to try to keep eating healthy and walk if it's not too cold out, and then see where I'm at after the holidays!

It took it slowly, DS is 4.5 months old and I'm pretty much back to my pre-preg weight now. I started with lots of walks and then did some mum & baby yoga, at around 3 months I started doing a bit of running and fitness training and just recently i have found that my insane appetite from nursing has dropped so I actually eat less now, which helped shed the lat couple of pounds.
My advice, be kind to your body and don't overdo it. Pregnancy puts a lot of strain on your body and starting intense workouts too soon may result in injury. Remember, your bodyis working super hard recovering after 9 months pregnancy, nursing (?) and sleepless nights. Dont stress, give it some time and things will go back to normal in their own time.
