I am about 7.5 weeks postpartum and am trying to not beat myself up too much about this but here goes:

I was pretty healthy pre-pregnancy, weighing 128 at 5'5". I was not exercising much and had actually gained maybe 5 lbs after getting married in 2013 which I blame on being a newly wed (we were only married 10 months before getting pregnant.) Anyway, I gained 39 lbs with my pregnancy. I did prenatal yoga pretty regularly and occasionally a prenatal strength training class, but didn't really do anything too strenuous. I didn't really watch what I ate, but we cook fairly healthy and don't eat out a ton, so the weight gain sort of freaked me out if I am honest. However, I was optimistic that things would "go back to normal" somewhat easily because, for several of my friends, they lost most of their baby weight within 2 months and were back in normal clothing soon after that time frame.

At 2 weeks postpartum I was down about 20 lbs. I felt relieved that half of it was gone but over the next month, I didn't really feel like anything else changed and sure enough, at my 6 week appt, no more weight had come off AT ALL! Nothing fits- I basically can only wear sweat pants or my maternity leggings. I am breastfeeding (and supplementing) and have been told that some people hold on to the weight instead of lose it, which honestly terrifies me as a person who has struggled with being overweight/body image issues most of her teenage/adult life.

I started 21 day fix Friday with my husband (who is incredibly supportive) just to see if a jump start with exercise/portion control would help. I have never been one to do dieting plans (side note: I also am adding extra calories for BF) but I just feel like I am living in PJs because of this and want to feel more put together/feel more like myself at some point.

Anyway, I just wondered if others had this experience of stagnant weight loss? Any tips or success stories?
