W just repainted our kitchen and now I need a valance or something over the window over our sink.
I don't really know where to look for something that would be modern/contemporary. All the stores only have a small selection and nothing stylish.
Should I make my own? Where is a good place to buy fabric these days?

If your crafty you could make your own, definitely! I noticed Jo-Ann fabric had a huge selection when I was there over the summer, maybe try somewhere like that.

I think Joann's has some nice modern fabrics. I also like the selection at Hancock's.
Tonicliving.com has tons of modern prints. I really love that site. They're located in Canada so shipping is pricey.
