Is there an easy way to make photo books out of iphone photos? or do I need to download all my photos to my computer or email myself the ones I want?
I tried downloading a shutterfly app, but you couldn't create books from there, just print individual photos...

I did it through Shutterfly the way you are describing. I uploaded them to the app and then went to my computer and made the books using the albums my cell phone app created.

oh, that sounds easier. I didn't realize that was an option. I just went to see what you could order and when books weren't listed I deleted it.

@MaryM: The only complaint I had was that pictures my husband had texted to me were sometimes a little grainy. I think maybe his texting app consolidates (not the right word) them? Not sure.
The picture quality was TONS better than the Groovebook we got, though.

I started using chatbooks after mrs. Bee blogged about it-- I think you can pull pics straight from your phone rather than ig. Also I've used social print studio for prints and frames-- they make books too

@LBee: I think it'll be all photos that I took, so quality shouldn't be a problem. And I just got a 40% off mailer so I'd kind of like to stick with them...

@MaryM: I think there is a separate shutter fly app for iPad that you can use to create photos. But like others have said, I mostly use the app to upload my photos and then use my computer to create the books.

@MaryM: @LBee: texting the photos will compromise the quality. Upload to the site or email. If it's a lot of photos sync to Dropbox or google drive and then go to your computer for the full res files.

I use Dropbox to auto-upload phone pics to my Dropbox account, and my Dropbox account is connected to my Shutterfly. I also keep allllll my other files in Dropbox and I pay $10 a month for the business-size-storage.

The app made uploading so much easier. And there's a groupon that's better than my 40% off deal, so I went that way with shutterfly. Thanks for the help @LBee:

@simplyfelicity: I only wanted the 8X8 book anyway (it's a memory book of our baby, so I didn't want it to be huge and gaudy), so I should be able to do it for just over $10

I was also able to use a coupon code from downloading the app (FirstGift) and ordered an ornament and some prints for our family.
The groupon was $8 or 9 for the book, and I basically got the shipping and prints for free (their shipping is so expensive, so it was worth it)
