@periwinklebee: Yay for a new chapter! I was so happy to get AF after my D&C because I felt like I could finally move forward instead of just staying stuck. That cycle was when I conceived my son. Fingers crossed!

@Coral: I'm so glad to be out of the post D&E, what's my HCG doing limbo. This is probably the first time I've ever been happy for period cramps.

@periwinklebee: yay! happy for you that things are returning to normal and hoping so much that this is a normal cycle and you can get back to TTC for your rainbow baby.

@periwinklebee: I'm glad that things are moving in the right direction. I hope your period isn't miserable

@periwinklebee: Yay for AF!
I looked up my predicted due date if I'm pregnant this cycle, and it's right around Thanksgiving. So then I was thinking about how maybe that means my mom can finally get out of hosting 30 family members at Thanksgiving like she's been wanting to for years, LOL.

@bizwitch: I'm due 11/21 and am rather excited to not have to travel for the holiday if I give birth 2 days before thanksgiving. I hope this is your month.

@bizwitch: Haha, I bet she would be excited.
If I ovulate on Friday (who knows when) my EDD would be 12/8. My daughter was born 4/8 and our anniversary is 10/8 so maybe that's a good sign?

My RE appointment is this afternoon. I'm really hoping they do an ultrasound and I have some big healthy follicles in there. CD 13 today & still waiting on a OPK!

@mrskansas: I got mine on CD15 and I only have 26 day cycles. Don't fret!

@bizwitch: Yeah I know it's early and I am trying my best to be patient!
How are you doing?
pear / 1553 posts
@mrskansas: Starting to fixate! I'm 8 DPO today, so now I'm trying to figure out if I should (can) wait until Saturday to POAS - when AF is due. Or if I should just do it earlier. I might not make it to Saturday!
nectarine / 2813 posts
@bizwitch: Ugh 8 DPO is the worst. I don't have any advice because I would start testing today (lol) but I hope the week goes quickly for you!
pear / 1553 posts
@mrskansas: I'm swamped at work so maybe that will help the week go quicker?
pear / 1553 posts
@mrskansas: Also yeah I feel like 8 DPO is when my obsession really starts ramping up. For the first week or so of the TWW I'm usually fine.
nectarine / 2813 posts
@bizwitch: Yep, 7/8 DPO is the worst. Too early to test but then you read about someone who got a clear positive at 8 DPO and then you start wondering...
pear / 1553 posts
@snarkybiochemist: Well AF is due at 11 DPO so there is literally no way I will make it to 13 DPO. 12 at the latest!

@bizwitch: the power of progesterone my luteal phase is normally 11-12 days.

@snarkybiochemist: Scratch that, 12 DPO. But still. Might make it to Sunday but doubtful! I guess it depends on if our weekend plans involve alcohol, LOL!

We had to use some Preseed last night and I am wondering, for those that use it, how long does it, uh, stay in you?
I can’t tell if I’m starting to get EWCM or if it’s leftover lube. I didn’t think Preseed had any stretch to it and it’s stickier than EWCM so hopefully I am getting close to ovulation. My ovaries are definitely noticeable on both sides today.

@mrsbubbletea: Thinking of you!
@jhd: @mrsbubbletea: @madisonbee: @shellio: @bizwitch: @mrskansas: @snarkybiochemist: Thanks everyone. It really does feel like a fresh start to TTC, this time with a better sense of what to expect.
I also got the genetic report back this morning. The doctor said initially he thought the loss was most likely caused by the SCH, which meant that the fetus couldn’t get the nutrients it needed from me to grow. He also said that if genetics are normal, it is more likely to be a systematic underlying problem and we’d need to do more tests. However, the genetics came back abnormal. There's something nice about knowing that there was never any hope, regardless of what I did. From the report it looks like the problem was that the fetus (a boy) had three sets of chromosomes, either because two sperm fertilized the egg or because the egg or sperm cell had two sets of chromosomes. No way that was going to work. What I read said that the chances of this happening are not affected by the age of the mother, and if it happens once it is no more likely to happen again. So, another reason to feel like now is a fresh start.

@periwinklebee: Aw I'm so glad it's not a systemic problem with you. Sometimes life throws these things at us and there is simply nothing to be done. There is no answer to the question "why?" It just is what it is. and
on your fresh start!!!

@periwinklebee: I'm glad you are feeling positive and that the genetics report have you some peace over this. Good luck moving forward.

@periwinklebee: Wow. I feel very hopeful for you and it is indeed like a fresh start. I'm so glad your "system" is overall okay!

@mrskansas: Good luck today! I hope they see some good stuff if they do the ultrasound!
