@Ash: I agree on switching providers! When I got my BFP I asked about getting progesterone checked and got the same answer as you. I found out after my m/c that I am low, so it could've played into it. Its one thing for a provider to not suggest it, but if they won't provide a reasonable test when asked for, I think its time to see someone else. So far, I've been happy with my naturopath, and she is very proactive in testing anything that she thinks could be a problem.

Ooook so seriously my DH is complaining about getting lucky too often? REALLY?? Has anyone had their partner complain about that? It's not like I'm jumping him 8 times a day!

@babycanuck: my DH does it too...i think that it is the shock that we are just "putting out" without complaining or sober...LOL

@amreis: @beetones: yay! Thanks! It's been a long time coming - finally had +opks at cd31 and 32 it's been a long unpredictable cycle. Ah to have a normal cycle that is less than 30 days would be a dream!

@babycanuck: I think DH is secretly thinking that, but also enjoying it! P.S. is anyone else really enjoying this postathon b/c it's giving them something else to think about other than how many days left until you can POAS??

haha ok I'm glad I'm not the only one. Here I was starting to get a complex..

@Cara M. 17: omg I didn't even realize it was the postathon I'm on vacation right now and just taking a little snooze break in the hotel and just decided to browse HB I always miss the postathon! Have to admit though, now that I'm in the tww it's hard to think about anything else! Tomorrow I head home and it will be even crazier trying to keep myself distracted!

  9. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@babycanuck: we've actually fought about this and I never thought there would be a day when we'd fight about him not cooperating in the bedroom! Ttc is a weird, weird journey.

@chibee: Lucky you! Where are you vacationing? This is my first TWW which is probably why it is so agonizing. Not expecting to get a BFP our first try, but still hopeful and can't wait to know either way!

    pear / 1974 posts

@Cara M. 17: I'm from nj and we took a west coast trip - Arizona to the Grand Canyon to Vegas and now in Los Angeles. It's been so nice to get away but I miss my doggies terribly. The first tww is seriously so painfully slow! But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you in hopes you never have to do it again! How many dpo are you? Just don't poas too early (5 dpo once- just shoot me) and don't get too hung up on symptoms!

  12. Cara M. 17

    clementine / 825 posts

@chibee: Oh wow I am from PA! That trip sounds amazing. Not very nice weather here right now either. Thanks so much for the FX! I am ~3 DPO today (I don't use OPK or temp so that's my best guess based on charting AF and CM for the last year). I'm trying to hold out until the 17th (12 DPO) but may try on the 16th also.

So I had cramps for the second day in a row and I got a bit pissy at DH today. Usually I don't get like that until I'm PMSy, but it has to be still too early for that. I'm still 10 days away from when I'm supposed to get diablo but only 6 dpo. I hate symptom second-guessing.

  14. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@Cara M. 17: I am 2 dpo! We should try to hold out until at least 12 dpo you are right. But realistically the best I can do is prob 9 dpo but I'm going to try hard! I chart and use opks but I stopped temping while on vacation so I just had to guess according to my opks. Now let the time fly by!

@ash: I haven't experienced that OBs aren't willing to do tests. I think that calling the other OB group would be a good idea. REs do cost money out of pocket often. Check with your insurance provider about if they cover infertility and if so, what you have to do in order for them to cover it (often it's having tried so long and a referral from your doctor). My insurance didn't cover any of it, but it was SO worth the money out of pocket.

@mrscastro: As for your Kaiser insurance, I just googled and they do have a few owned fertility clinics, so there's a chance you could just need a referral by your provider, but usually Kaiser wants to do the lowest cost option, so you may have to pay out of pocket to go a faster route.

WTH! Looks like im going to ovulate even earlier this month! My opk was negative this am & I wont really know for sure till my temp starts to rise. If its anything like last couple months it will rise. Im down with ovulation but DH has PT today which means he's goibg to hurt like hell & I have family in town this weekend!!! Ovulation isn't suppose to come till NEXT week! Am I wrong? Thats what it looks like to me.

  24. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: It does look similar to your February chart! Unless that lower February temp was a fluke for some reason?

  25. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

So my temp was higher than norm today. If it continues and my previous OPK was in fact a positive, I should have just ovulated. Unless Sunday's BD stuck around, this month will likely be a BFN which I am totally okay with. At least now I know I ovulated. Next month will be a gamble with cycle length but such is life!

@Sugar.Biscuit: Wow, CD 7 and you might be Oing? How maddening. I was going to ask if you could just be getting sick or slept with your mouth open or something, but if you O'd last month on CD 9, I guess 7 isn't that far off. I hope you and DH are able to BD!

@LindsayInNYC: Yay for a + OPK! Although you must have incredible patience to wait 48 days to see a +!

I'm 11 DPO today and it's been a weird TWW. First of all, I never saw a + OPK, although I think that might have been because we were out of town the weekend before I O'd. Then I met with the RE and he did a vag. ultrasound and told me I looked three DPO. And, he said I had ovulated three eggs! So that was great that he thought I really had O'd this month.

However, since then I have not had any sore boobs, which I always have during the TWW! Usually by now I'm starting to get emotional/PMSy too and I'm not really feeling that either. I've tested the last three days and all BFN, of course. But I still feel a little hopeful that since this cycle feels different, maybe we'll have a different result. Yesterday I had some terrible pinching pain really really low down, so if that was somehow implantation cramps I guess I should be able to get a positive in a couple days. We'll see. If AF shows up, we'll go forward with some more testing that the RE ordered for my prolactin levels and then meet with him to discuss when we should start IVF. I'm still hoping it will be a moot point though and I'll get a BFP.

@LindsayInNYC: The good news is you ovulated! We are phased out of the child care tax credit as well

  28. whatsarahsaid

Hey ladies...so I'm 9DPO today and I'm feeling eerily similar to how I felt in the days leading up to my last BFP. This is our first month TTC after our MC in December so I don't have my hopes up that I'll get a BFP right away but a little voice inside of me is telling me I'm pregnant. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. I did POAS stick this morning but I know it was WAAAAY to soon....wasn't suprised with my BFN that I got! lol!

I did get a second temp jump today...from 98.6 to 98.8. So would that mean my chart just went triphasic? I'm also feeling hungover this morning which is exactly how I felt in the 2 days leading up to my BFP. I mean...I did have 1.5 glasses of wine last night but that's never enough to make me feel hungover. I've had subtle cramps for the past few days and my hips just ache. Also have had SUPER vivid dreams for the past 2 nights which was a symptom I had last time.

I don't know! I'm trying not to symptom spot or over analyze...but like I said something inside of me is just saying I'm pregnant! I guess we'll see in the next few days.

@twodoghouse: I don't know if patience is the right word, LOL! I used OPKs for almost 30 days straight. Insane! I have no clue what to expect for the next cycle...

@littlek: I didn't even realize the tax credit phased out! It's $110K+ for married couples. Given that we don't qualify for student loan interest either, not sure why I thought we would for this, LOL!

@whatsarahsaid: Those sound like promising symptoms! FX!!

@twodoghouse: wow! three eggs is awesome! fingers crossed for you! =)

can i join? i got a + OPK and a peak on the CBEFM, so i should O in the next 24 hours or so. lucky for us, we have a snow storm so DH doesn't have to go to work today (snow day for his school), so we can work on our snow baby i guess my POAS date will be the 22nd, although i'm a POAS addict, so i'll def test early too =)

@LindsayInNYC: who knows! There was a lot of stress on the 6th with dh going to the ER and all but the 7th had normal temps. There has been a lot more stress with my mom moving to town this week. So ill know more the next couple days. Im tempted to get another digital opk cause last month I never really got an obvious positive on the cheep sticks. They got darker during that time but the second line never matched the control line. Oh the JOYS of ttc! To top it off DH is getting sick too. Yuck.

  34. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: Just wanted to warn you that early ovulation like yours can often mean your eggs aren't fully developed before they release, meaning that its hard to get pregnant. Good news is it's probably just a low estrogen level. You might ask your doctor to run cd3 bloodwork just to make sure. I don't mean to alarm, you could still get pregnant, but just wanted you to have the information just in case.

  35. LindsayInNY

    bananas / 9229 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: I used the Wondfo OPKs that someone on HB sent me. I was actually surprised to get the one dark result since it's always been close but not quite. I might buy some more for next month/cycle though. We'll see if my temp stays up now too... If DH were slightly sick, I might've pushed the BD but he's pretty sick. I don't know if he'd even be able to get it up, LOL!

  36. Sugar.Biscuit

    nectarine / 2063 posts

@marionberry: I have low progesterone & stopped taking my supplement at CD 25 last cycle and started my period right away so it wouldn't surprise me if my estrogen was low as well.

  37. twodoghouse

    honeydew / 7230 posts

@Sugar.Biscuit: @LindsayInNYC: I've used the Wondfos for a million cycles and I don't think I've ever gotten a TRUE positive, the way you're supposed to see it. Granted, I do have ovulation problems, but even after being on Clomid I don't think I've ever seen the test line dark enoguh. I'm not sure if it's the sticks or my timing of testing on them, though.

Well, 11 DPO here and absolutely itching to test! I had a pretty good temp dip 7 DPO and was awaken that morning by one giant stabby twinge about 6:00am. I've had a slight pinching/cramping sensation in the same spot periodically ever since - hoping that's a good thing! I'm trying to hold out until tomorrow, and it's super hard to focus at work today!

@mrs. bird Woohoo for O! Get it, get it!

I think I'm close to O'ing.. so exciting! Last cycle my monitor did not pick it up.

  40. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@fussygal: I had cramping off and on from ovulation, through implantation and definitely through the first few weeks of pregnancy. I really hope it's a good sign for you!
