@septca: @littlek: I know - I think starting out, I thought 'oh, those stats include people who aren't timing correctly, so of course they're going to take longer. We'll be pregnant on the first try!' Ha, nope! It makes me more encouraged, though, that hopefully there isn't anything wrong since we're timing everything perfectly and still not pregnant. It just takes longer.

@winniebee: so sorry to hear!
I'll set up the April POAS thread next week!

@theotherstark: what made me so upset last week was that I have multiple girlfriends who I know for a fact weren't even trying, all just got off BC, and got pregnant right away!!

@oliviaoblivia: Added! FX for you!
@winniebee: I was so hopeful for you. Hope this next cycle is it!

Roll me on over to next month... AF arrived right on schedule this morning with a vengeance... and I forgot to check if I had tampons in my purse before I left this morning. BIG glass of wine tonight...

@winniebee: Boo for AF--but you're right, not too shabby for the first month off BC! Hope I'll be reading about your BFP in no time.

@winniebee: @HellOnHeels: Sorry ladies I hope next month is your month!
I POAS this morning, because DH & I will be spending the weekend away, and I wanted to know how much coffee I can drink (we don't drink alcohol, but we LOVE coffee). BFN, but I'm not disappointed, because that's what I was expecting. I have a call in to my Dr's office with all sorts of questions about starting progesterone next week. I'll pee on one more stick come Sunday, but I'm feeling like April & Clomid will be my next best shot at this baby thing!
And for what it's worth, I'm a December baby, and I love my birthday! Mine is early in the month (12/6), but it has never bothered me. A few times in middle & high school my friends would combine my gifts, but my parents never did. My husband harasses me about "gift month," but it's all in good fun. I also had a great-grandfather with a 12/24 birthday and my grandmother's birthday was 12/26. That always just meant stretching out celebrations for our family, though! Birthday cake AND Christmas goodies?! I'll take it! I think it's all about your attitude and how you decide to approach a holiday birthday. I support December birthdays

@HellOnHeels: and @winniebee: ((hugs)) Hope there is lots of drinking on your agenda tonight.

@HellOnHeels: aww nooo! well, enjoy that wine!! onto next month!
@ABCmrs: It's great to hear from a December baby! I'm Nov 6, and I never liked my bday b/c I dislike winter in general
clementine / 933 posts
@snowjewelz: I love winter before Christmas (I'm a Christmas junkie!). I don't love winter after about January 15th And I REALLY don't love winter when it butts its way into my Spring weather, like today...
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@ABCmrs: That is so true. I rather have a Dec baby than a Jan/Feb baby!

@winniebee: Oh man! I felt so sure this was it. Treat yourself to some good spoiling!
@HellOnHeels: sorry honey! i hope april does the trick.
@ABCmrs: yeah winter does suck. I kind of think newborns are okay then though because they are usually up all night and sleep all day anyway. I dread it with a toddler though because i wont be allowed to sleep all day. ugh
@oliviaoblivia: welcome and best of luck to you doll.

@HellOnHeels: Oh, boo I'm really sorry about AF.
@ABCmrs: If I got pregnant this cycle, my due date would be the 6th I actually sort of love that, since both my MIL and one of my BILs have December birthdays, so it's sort of a family birthday month. Sorry about your BFN, but I'm hoping you have a nice little surprise BFP on Sunday!

Sagittarius are really awesome so there is that!
I thought posting that might reassure a lot of us. When we see an HB poll or everyone around us is KU it can be discouraging but clearly the vast majority of people are on this path for a little while.

Thanks, everyone! Only our 1st cycle, so I'm okay with it. Just hating on AF because she's already wearing me down and making me take drugs.
I got my first, "stop trying, just relax and have fun" piece of advice today. Sigh... I did the biggest eyeroll to my phone ever lol.
clementine / 933 posts
@theotherstark: You're too sweet! I would love that, but I'm oddly excited about my next cycle Just looking forward to a relaxing, early weekend!
@HellOnHeels: I feel like that advice should be outlawed. Seems like the only people who offer it aren't trying & aren't yet parents, or had children so long ago there is no way they remember the TTC process! I add my eye-roll to yours!

@HellOnHeels: So sorry, friend:-(. @winniebee:so sorry:-(.
Cheering you all on for March and April, of course!

@HellOnHeels: That's so frustrating!! I get that daily! I Love your positive outlook!
@ABCmrs: I personally love December babies!!...but I think I would be happy no matter when it happened! I hope the clomid will get you that BFP!
In other news...I took another opk last night when I got home from work, and there was no line at all. I freaked out a little but BD'd anyway. Then when I took one this morning it was dark, but still not positive. I think I was diluted last night because I drank a lot of water. I also had a temp spike this morning, but I have a cold too...so I have no idea!

Today is pretty much the same story as yesterday here -- stark hcg, strong but not positive line on LH.
Going to keep on DTD and going to keep on peeing on things!
@heelonheels: @winniebee: sorry about the rollovers! I suspect I'll be joining y'all in April, but, even if not I'll cheerlead.
persimmon / 1328 posts
@heelonheels: @winniebee: Boo for both of you! Best of luck next month though!
I am still here with negative tests and no AF. Based on my temp spike, I probably shouldn't expect AF until Sunday or Monday. I'm still crampy and randomly feel sick throughout the day, so we'll see!

@MrsScallop: I'm still holding out for you!!
@lilyofthewest: Do you think you'll O again? Are you going to go for it if you do?
clementine / 899 posts
@MrsScallop: @lilyofthewest: FX for that so you don't have to join us in April!
@luv2beamom: yeesh.. as hard as it sometimes feel to not talk about TTC with anyone else in IRL, this makes me glad I'm not, hah.

@HellOnHeels: My best friend knows everything about my ttc journey, however she just found out she's pregnant....so NATURALLY she thinks she an expert on ttc and says daily that I "just need to relax and it'll happen when I least expect it" It doesn't help that I work with her too! ugh
I think this group is my saving grace when it comes to advice!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@MrsScallop: FX for you honey. And yuck yuck yuck on the advice. I'm sure it's well intentioned. I cringe when I imagine myself ever giving that sort of advice but we were all naive at one time.
pear / 1697 posts
@luv2beamom: I'm really not sure what my body is up to. Maybe it'll make another ovulation attempt; maybe I'll just have a long, meandering, anovulatory cycle. If I have a probable ovulation before the 18th, we'll definitely try to catch it. If I haven't had one by then, we'll reassess how impatience balances out against xmas avoidance. Still not sure which way I'd come down on that.

@lilyofthewest: you're in DC, too??? We definitely need to have a TTC commiseration fest.

Welp, AF surprised me this morning, so I'll be rolling over to May. We want to stay away from Christmas if possible and we already have a December baby.
Good luck to everyone else this month! I am looking forward to seeing some bfps!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MrsScallop: Sorry to hear! But it seems like you're okay with not having a Dec baby so good luck next month!!

@MrsScallop: awe honey I am so sorry about AF. I hope May is good to you.
clementine / 899 posts
@luv2beamom: Yeesh, I'm sorry! It's like "you just went through this, you should no better!!" It was my BFF that gave me the "advice" too, but she has no kids OR married. She had also went on to say, "coming off the pill takes a while for the body to adjust" Um, I've been off the pill since November and charting the whole time. She knows that. Even DH thinks it's all douchey, lol.
