@MrsMccarthy: Stop wasting those sticks! The wait is long, i know! But try to wait until the weekend. Good luck.:)

@MrsMccarthy: LOL. I like it. I, on the other hand, resisted the urge to test this morning at 8 DPO. So much for my "early and often" fame. I did, however, buy a bunch of maternity clothes this morning. (ON was 35% off! I can't pass that up!!!). Whatever. It'll happen eventually. (Right????)

@septca: You crack me up! I have yet to buy any maternity/baby clothes. But I'm always tempted...maybe soon!

@septca: I'm soooo disappointed in you..... POAS!!!

@Freckles: Congrats!!! I am confident this is your sticky baby!

@septca: I also did that recently... had to get my order to $50 for free shipping and couldn't think of anything else to get.

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@Freckles: hahah I know. I just hate them staring at me!

@septca: yes! Maternity clothing treat. I bought my son a book about waiting for baby at goodwill.

So the test I took is an old expired one which may be the reason I am having line eye. I never get that way but "sometimes" I feel like I see a shadow. I am also perplexed by the placing of the control line and not sure where the test line should be. What do you think?

@septca: It will, it will! Liar...i know you're a secret POASer!

@MrsMccarthy: Lady!! Put the sticks away!! You never know - I'm really hoping this is your month! We're almost cycle buddies. I'm just sitting here at 5dpo, twiddling my thumbs.

@septca: Ahh, I can't wait for you to POAS!! And that's awesome you bought some maternity clothes. I have come close many times, but just can't do it - I worry that i would be completely jinxing myself. But you know as soon as that second line comes up for my BFP, I'll be placing my order...

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I don't see anything, but I agree that there is something off about that test. The control line is in a really weird place.

@littlek: Okay, you're on for tomorrow.

@sarahnicole218: and @Radish: and @theotherstark: It's a *bad* habit, especially since I already have a full - and VERY cute - mat wardrobe. Whoops. But, seriously, I felt better and healthier than ever before when I was KU, so have a mat clothes addition. Plus, the stuff I got today was super cute.

Update on me (besides the failure to POAS): We are officially WEANED. I want to throw myself a freaking party, I am so excited. DD, not so much. (insert face that doesn't exist here.) Today's symptoms include incredible fatigue (thank you, DD, for the multiple teething- and stuffy nose-related wake ups...) and sore, tingly nips (which could totally be related to the weaning). Also, I had some really weird, low cramping over the weekend.

@snowjewelz: thank you! I actually feel more calm than ever this month. Perhaps because I really see next month as being our BFP. A magical holiday season full of baby. So yeah, no pressure or anything APRIL!!!

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@septca: right? It's almost in the center of the damned test.

Okay no more testing for me until Friday or later.

@MrsMccarthy: Yeah. So, if you were really crazy (aka, me), you could open it up and see what's what. Not that I am condoning crazy or anything...

@MrsMccarthy: I feel like I see a shadow of something but the lines aren't centered....

@septca: you naughty thing! I'm out on a stroll with my son now but I will be doing this later.

@tequiero21: yay! Someone to join me in my crazy'

I really don't think it's positive but I'm bored so ill open that sucker up when I get home later.

@ChiCalGoBee: Thank you for your advice--I think I will at least let my midwife know what's going on. Just a check-in of sorts, so if I'm a complete wreck in a couple of months she'll remember that I'm "squeaky" and won't be so surprised that I'm losing my mind.

  16. mfa_lady

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@ABCmrs: I'm loving "Be squeaky!" I'm not sure why I'm so reluctant to email her anyway--she was so amazing and supportive through the entire MC from hell, and so I'm sure she wouldn't be surprised or annoyed to hear from me. If I don't have AF in a week or so, I'll definitely email her. (Who am I kidding...probably in like two days.)

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@runnerd: Thank you so, so, SO much for sharing. It's really encouraging to hear from you--sounds like your situation was really similar, and it is so great to know that things got back to normal for you. I really appreciate your support!

    pomegranate / 3921 posts

@septca: So glad to hear this--thank you for sharing your process with your endo! During the early months of the whole ordeal, my midwife was awesome and always accessible. She's been so supportive throughout the whole thing, so I'm sure she will be now as well. I'm just afraid of the dreaded "hurry up and wait some more" advice." I think I'll give it another week and then get in touch with her. Thanks again!

@MrsMccarthy: the control line looks off. I would try with a different test.

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@septca: @MrsMccarthy: I fully support opening up the damn tests:-). No shame! I don't care what "they" say-I do it anyway! Just make sure to not cut open your hand as you tear the thing apart:-).

  21. theotherstark

    pomegranate / 3045 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I sort of almost see something, although I'm not sure if it has color, but it's hard to tell since everything is all shadowy and the control line looks weirdly centered (??). I would open it as others suggested

And then I would probably POAS again tomorrow, if I were you. But, of course, you should probably wait until Friday or later. But, I would totally test again tomorrow. But that's just me .....

I hope this is it for you!!!

  22. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@littlek: I'll open it but I am gonna try to hold out wasting anymore tests at such an early DPO. I am hoping to make it to Friday. I hope your RE appointment goes well today! I'm so hopeful you will be knocked up soon.

@ChiCalGoBee: hahah yeah I promise to be careful.

@theotherstark: there is definitely not any color. It's on the shadowy gray side. Could be an Evap, could be line eye but hell ill open in up just for fun.

Let me reiterate that I am not getting my hopes up about the test. Just having a good time on what has been a kind of nice mellow cycle.

In other news my son slept better last night and nursed a bit less than every hour. I really do have high hopes for a longer LP.

@mfa_lady: I SO SO SO hope you get a BFP soon. I have seen a lot of people have funky cycles and just end up pregnant again. If you can muster EOD or at least 3 days a week of BD even on your period I would try because our bodies can be such a mystery. FX for you!

@septca: Yay for weaning! I hope your LO will adjust soon! If only they knew the marvelous taste of solid foods!

@MrsMccarthy: I def feel like if not this month, def next month for you too! So many people have good feelings about April, but I won't mind to see more BFPs this month!

@septca: um I totally want to see cute maternity wear! Do they make cute maternity suits for work and stuff? ?

  25. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@septca: signs sound really positive for you and congrats on the weaning!!! I am still hoping to be one of the lucky lucky ones who gets pregnant with an avid nurser as my son is not taking it well when I make attempts to even remove one feed ( he cried hysterically, like i was performing an exorcism, for over am hour night before last while furiously yelling " Mo!" More and signing more and milk please. He had been nursing every hour. It was awful. Last night I didn't even try to stop him and he nursed a lot less and slept way better. Maybe it's all the teeth but we aren't there yet.

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@dc yoga bee: With DD, I mostly wore dresses or good work pants (from the Gap) with blouses and non-maternity cardigans. I wore *a lot* of dresses. This time around, I want more tunics because leggings are the jam when you are preggo and because I figure I'll start showing sooner, so will need more stuff. This is the stuff I bought this morning:
    http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=9202160220002&cid=1008944&locale=en_US
    http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=9689460020001&cid=1008618&locale=en_US
    http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=9612110120001&cid=1008618&locale=en_US
Plus, I bought a sweater that I drooled over my whole first pregnancy, but it never went on sale and I couldn't justify the price. Someone must have returned it - in my size! - because it was way marked down. I snatched that sucker right up!

  27. septca

    GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I hope for that for you, too! We were down to just feed (at wake up) and the last couple of weeks it was pretty obvious to me that there was NOTHING there... DD just wanted to comfort nurse. The past two days, I have given her a bottle of cold WCM at wake up if it's before it's really time to get up (otherwise she just goes straight to breakfast and a straw cup)... she is *not* pleased and there has been much screaming until she realizes that she would rather eat than not...

Great! So I work for a very small company and people sometimes bring their kids over. So this girl my age had a baby last August, and she just brought her LO in and we were all oo-ing and ahh-ing... Now all I can think about is when we're gonna have one of our own!! I was just having a mundane work day and now I have full on raging baby fever.

    @Radish: thank you!

Sorry I have been such a crap host. Thank goodness for Radish!

Here is my test. I still feel like a see a shadow or some kind of indentation but other times it looks blaring white to me. Time will tell.

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@MrsMccarthy: No problem. I just like to do it when it gets too many pages back or a lot of people have changed status. I'm almost always on my laptop, so it is easy enough.

@MrsMccarthy: I see a line, but it might be an evap or my eyes seeing things (because I want to see another line there!!). Try a FRER in a day or two!!

  38. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@snowjewelz: @theotherstark: haha it's like the mothman! We all think we are seeing it now. The age of the test makes me think an evap is high on the list of possibilities along with sever line eye. Time will tell. I'm not gonna skip out on any wine of lattes though.

@MrsMccarthy: k, I feel like I see a white line. I got a white line, believe it or not, on a good batch of wondfos and it was not a pregnancy line, unfortunately. Test tomorrow!

I see something as well, but it's not clear. Try another one tomorrow!
