@Freckles: @snowjewelz: @dc yoga bee: @MrsMccarthy: thank you ladies!! I tested again this morning with fmu and it's darker! I haven't called my ob yet because I'm scared...I think I might wait until next week just to make sure my period doesn't start this weekend. Is it normal to be so terrified?

  13. Radish

    nectarine / 2079 posts

@luv2beamom: Yup! I waited a week to call mine with DD. I was basically holding my breath waiting for something to go wrong. If you have no health concerns, they typically won't see you until 8-10 weeks anyways, so there isn't a real rush to call.

  14. ChiCalGoBee

    nectarine / 2028 posts

@luv2beamom: of course it's normal!!! I've found these first four-ish weeks totally nerve-wracking. Hang in there .

I'm not sure if this is the right board to report this, but since I shared my bizarre BFP story with you all I thought I'd come back to update and say that there were in fact problems as I'd been suspecting. HCG has stayed the same over the last 2 days (and is low for 5 weeks), and I've been having some excruciating lower left abdominal and back pains. My dr. sent me to the ER, and their only conclusion was that I was probably miscarrying but can't rule out an ectopic yet. So we wait.

The positive in all of this is that with 2 early miscarriages 2 cycles in a row, my doctor has agreed to go ahead and start talking about what could be wrong and make a plan to hopefully fix things!

But I am so happy to see more BFP's in this thread and hope that April sees many as well My hubby and I will get our sticky baby at some point!

@snowjewelz: I don't think they did anything the first time around because chemicals with first time pregnancies are so common. At least that's what they told me, and they said it didn't necessarily mean anything was wrong. But now the 2nd so soon after kind of alerted my doc to things. So we'll see!

@Kbee: I am so sorry. Did they give you an ultrasound in the ER? If they suspect ectopic and didn't, I find that odd... perhaps you can discuss having an u/s with your ob? I am going to wall you about my experience.

@kbee: I'm bummed things turned out this way. I'm so sorry your bfp wasn't sticky.

I'm feeling pretty confident that I really did ovulate on Tuesday night or yesterday. I had a super dark OPK all day Tuesday, ovulation pains on my left side Tuesday night, and lots and lots of EWCM yesterday.

Got it on Tuesday and yesterday, going to aim for tonight too just for good measure.

So, that brings my POAS date out to April 6. Y'all know I'm going to keep peeing on sticks between now and then, but, I don't really expect them to have much to say.

Uh... So I posted over in another thread that I tested on Wed with a Target HPT and got a faint line. BUT, I didn't really follow instructions (peed on it more than 5 secs, moved it when I was supposed to let it lay flat for 2 min...) So I feel extremely uncertain about that test.

I wanted to test again today; I had to pee so bad this morning so I attempted to POAS in the dark bathroom without glasses or contacts! I feel like I got it, but no lines showed up. I retried later and it's still blank so I think the test is no good.

Soooo now I gotta wait till tomorrow when we go home. I was hoping to give DH news, any news on his bday but I guess not!
