Did your machine give off a weird plastic-y smell at first? We just got one and it smells weird! Is this bad for LO?

We just bought a second one and it did smell weird at first. Like a bran new plastic smell. It went away after a day or two. If you're worried keep it in another room to let it off gas.

Yes ours did. If we leave it on the louder setting all night then it comes back so we try not to do that.

we have two. one from amazon.com and one from soap.com. neither of them smelled funny. we also use them on the louder setting all night and haven't noticed it. i wonder if it's a weird batch thing.
