@Amorini: it's not the dairy itself that helps fertility, but the fats, especially saturated fat. You could also try nuts, coconut, avocado and meat.

@JennyLayneAZ: I feel your pain! I'm still sick! DH is only giving me forehead kisses, no BDing for us lol. Also on the longest period ever since I stopped BC. Isn't it lovely? Bahha.

@MrsKRB: thanks for clarifying! Mmm. I love all those fats.
@ms.line: Your "clown car" comment had me cracking up so hard my post-HSG uterus hurt. I'm glad we can see the humor through the crappiness.

@LoveHope: I switched over when my accupuncturist said something about the negative affects of some of the stuff that they add to low fat or non-fat milks. I don't drink a lot of milk though, but I eat yogurt for lunch.

@JennyLayneAZ: That was DH and I last cycle, too. Most of the BD was super quick, not very sexy... Oh the joys. Hope you guys feel better soon!!

I am trying really hard not to symptom spot this cycle, especially since I am only 4dpo.... BUT I got super dizzy and lightheaded this morning which also happened back in September at 4dpo when I got pregnant! Fingers crossed..... I know it's unlikely with inferility issues on both sides but it's possible!

@fancyfunction: welcome! Hopefully May will be a great month for all of us

@DesertDreams88: That's awesome! I had the same symptom when I got pregnant in November, also at 4DPO. FX for you!
6DPO here. FF finally confirmed O, but my temps have been so low this month it's kind of weird. I really, really hope that they jump back up, and stay there for a good nine months or so! But at this point I feel like I'm buying time until we are able to go in and start testing.

I really want to join you guys but AF is taking it's sweet time showing up. It was due yesterday. Today at the latest. No sign except my temps are well below the cover line as of yesterday. So.... waiting and twiddling my thumbs.

@HellOnHeels: I know what you mean... I'm a teacher! Many of my students have parents younger than me. I teach 4th grade. Tough jobs when you're TTC. Day 14 is weird... What do you think that could be?

Cycle Day: 38
TTC Cycle #: still 1st
Ovulation and POAS dates: Ovulation around 4/29 to 4/30 so POAS around May 10.
Baby #: 1
Your plan this month: I had given up this cycle and thought I was anovulatory, so we only had sex the day after the LH surge. Not really a good plan XD
This is my 2nd cycle off birth control. I guess the first one was 60 days long and this one will probably be around 47-50 days long. Originally I thought I had ovulated on 4/10 (positive Clear Blue Digital OPK but negative Wondo OPK), but there was no temp spike so I gave up and thought this cycle was anovulatory. I just stopped charting because it was depressing me, and I didn't want to think about it. Then on 4/26 I had a large increase in EW CM so I did an OPK test. I use both Wondo strips and the ClearBlue digital one (which is more sensitive). This time both were positive! I've never seen a positive on the Wondo strips before so I was super excited. They stayed positive for two days before both turned negative. I'm pretty sure ovulation was either today or yesterday because I had a large temp spike this morning. We only had sex like 1-2 days prior to ovulation so it probably won't be positive this time. I'm just so excited I actually ovulated :$ None of my friends are trying to conceive (or have kids) so they probably think I'm a bit crazy for being so happy about ovulation XD
I love flowers! I have a little patio garden that makes me happy. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I love roses, fuschias, and petunias. I have some of each on my patio ^^

@fancyfunction: I love ranunculus too! I can't wait for them to bloom.
@TrailRunner: welcome!
@thepaperbutterfly: love your patio! I wish I had some area to plant flowers, but our patio gets some really intense afternoon sun and it's so hot here, that I can hardly keep anything alive in pots because they dry out so quick (and I forget to water them everyday. )

Good morning ladies! And Happy May Day! I have a silly tmi question... Has anyone had a...'disagreement' with their spouse on a critical baby-making day? And what did you do? This was us yesterday, after a really hard, sex-drive shattering bedtime with our 3 year old, haha. I have never been so conflicted, being mad and not in the mood at all but feeling like if we didn't do it we'd screw up our chances this month. Maybe angry sex is a rite of passage for TTC 6+ months? We eventually made up and hopefully covered our bases this morning, but man, last night sucked- such a mix of emotions! Just wondering if anyone can commiserate
kiwi / 689 posts
@CObee: I've had this happen before and when I'm pissed, it's hard getting back in the mood. We usually make up the next day and all is well but when you're in the angry moment, there is no BDing happening lol
clementine / 828 posts
@CObee: We put it off until the next day, and cross our fingers.
Do BBT thermometers expire or need new batteries? I am using the same thermometer as when I TTC my son, and still not getting a good picture of ovulation. I am not very consistent with the timing of taking my temperature, but I was not when I TTC my son, and I still always had a clear sign of ovulation. Here is my chart:

@thepaperbutterfly: I love your patio!
@CObee: we have, and we usually end up doing it the next day instead. When I'm mad at dh I don't even want to look at him
@mdf106: I don't think they expire, but maybe they are less accurate/sensitive? Can you replace the battery?

@YogiRunner: let me know how today goes for you! I had 3 follicles, but they're still pretty small (12/13mm)

@MrsKRB: Lol... I love the smiley face after 'I don't even want to look at him'. I know what you mean!
I'm chalking it up to passion, I don't know how someone I love so much can make me so incredibly angry. Love him!
Also, happy May!! I keep having baby dreams! Coming off of the pill is making my baby fever kick in! Good luck mommas!

Hey all! I am running out the door for a bachelorette weekend but I'll update the running list on Sunday
AFM, had my CD10 ultrasound this morning, and it went pretty well (I think). Four on the right, one on the left. The tech said they looked "fairly large" but I don't know the exact size. Still waiting for the nurse to call with instructions!
@MrsKRB: That doesn't sound small to me, I'm no expert but I think those suckers have plenty of time to grow! Good luck for Monday's appt!
clementine / 849 posts
@MrsKRB: So I have a 15mm on the left, and a 12, 13, and 14 on right. Not wildly different from you. The other little guy was a below a 12 so she didn't measure him. I'm going back in Sunday for another ultrasound and checking estrogen... bright and early after a night of fun with the bride to be this weekend. Ugh
nectarine / 2465 posts
@YogiRunner: have fun this weekend! Hoping both of our follies grow, grow, grow!

Good things are happening at work with new opportunities, but it might mean more traveling. I'd be silly to pass these things up, but I'm really hoping they don't conflict with BD timing!
cherry / 189 posts
Uuuuugh I had an almost positive (but definitely still negative) OPK yesterday and thought today's would be super dark, but there's hardly a line at all! And I was super anxious and stressed last night, hoping I didn't F it up and delay ovulation. Is it still possible to have a healthy egg and get a bfp if your body tries to ovulate, fails, then gets it on the second try in a cycle, or would it be over mature?
Eta: also, would just doing a 2 hour hold instead of 4 cause that much discrepancy? #tinybladderproblems

@TemperanceBrennan: that's exciting but I totally hear you on wanting to keep the bd schedule on track! Luckily my husband has a semi-flexible work schedule and is a good sport when I tell him certain weeks are off limits haha

@WinterBee: @MrsKRB: @mdf106: @LoveHope: glad to hear we are on the same page. I was worried I was a TTC wimp for not just making it happen last night haha.

@thepapaerbutterfly your patio is beautiful!
@cobee I have been in your shoes with the husband. 2 cycles ago we had a disagreement which led to off track bding.
@MRSKRB and @yogirunner hope those follies keep on a growing!

BFN this morning….It's been a generally lousy day. I work shift work, and somehow forgot I was scheduled for today! I got a nasty little wake-up call at 7:15 am "Are you planning to come to work today?". I've been having tons of symptoms though; sore boobs, nausea, being overly emotional. Hopefully it's just too early; I'll test again tomorrow ( and the next day, and the next…)

Ok I'm officially in.
Cycle day: 1
TTC cycle: 8
First LO
Dates: well, I expect to O between the 14th-16th. That would put POAS around the 29th-30th. I'll be bringing up the rear again.
Plan: other than my appointment at the fertility clinic, nothing new. We are trying every other day from day 10-16 or until I get my temp jump. Although I haven't heard back from the donor yet, so I guess that could change. I'm hoping the fertility clinic comes up with a good plan going forward. I feel like 8 months is long enough to wait to know if something is wrong, especially when our timing has been excellent and I have no reason to think it should be taking us this long. I know it's not that long in the grand scheme of things, but I'm ready to have a better plan.
Flower: right now, lupine. It's practically covering our hillside behind our house and it makes me so happy. I'll post a pic later.
